OWERRI— About eight children recently stolen from some communities in Imo State have been recovered by the State Police Command. The current development, according to a police source, may have finally burst the child stealing syndicate that has troubled residents of the state for sometime. Vanguard investigations revealed that the lucky children were recovered in Enugu and Anambra states, by a team of crack detectives, following credible information made available to them. The success story started last Sunday, when a middle-aged woman was apprehended by the vigilante group of Nekede community and quickly handed over to the police for investigation. It was also gathered that as soon as the kidnap suspect was thoroughly grilled by the police, she released the name of her sponsor, resident in Enugu. “The police quickly moved to Enugu, arrested the person, released three children in her custody and moved them to Owerri,” the police officer recounted. Some of the children, who are now reunited with their parents, include those kidnapped after attending children’s mass at Saint Mulumba’s Catholic Parish, Owerri. All those who spoke to Vanguard on the issue, commended the police for breaking the dreaded criminal gang that has kept parents sleepless in Imo. They appealed to security agencies to ensure that all the persons connected to the criminal act were promptly made to face the full weight of the law. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/12/police-burst-kidnapping-syndicaterescue-eight-children/ |

Our correspondents learnt that the government had failed to honour its promise that the awardees would receive their certificates and medals a week after the event, as promised by the Secretary to the Government, Chief Pius Anyim. President Goodluck Jonathan had conferred the various classes of national honours on 355 Nigerians amidst tight security. But as a result of the shortage, many of the honourees were unable to get their medals and certificates as was the tradition. Anyim had blamed it on the large number of recipients in the 2011 awards ceremony. He also promised those who could not receive their medals and certificates that they would have the materials "in the next one week." However, a month after the promise, the awardees were still expecting the government to fulfill its promise. But a source close to the SGF office attributed the shortage of the medals to the inclusion of associates of some people close to the government on the list. The source said medals brought to the venue were meant for those on the original list before "interference" from "high quarters". He said there was no way the medals would not have been enough because "the event was planned ahead and we knew the number of the people to be given the awards. "So, when different kinds of people were bringing their friends, in-laws, partners, and even girlfriends, that was when we started having problems with the medals and certificates. However, some of the awardees, who spoke with one of our correspondents in Abuja on Sunday, wondered why the government would give them awards without a certificates and medals. Among those that were not given medals on that day were former Governors Saidu Bada (Katsina), Rufus Ada George (Rivers), Clement Ebri (Cross River). Others include Chief Jim Ovia, Chief Ikide Arumeni. The Minister of Labour, Chief Emeka Wogu, was lucky as he received a certificate. He and others have been waiting for their medals since then. Anyims Special Assistant, Mr. Sam Nwaobasi told one of our correspondents on the telephone that he was not aware there was a shortage of medals and certificates during the ceremony. He, however, called back to say he would confirm whether the report was true or not. He said, "I am not aware of that." Later, he called to say "I will need to get to office and find out what really happened. You know that today is Sunday." source: http://www.punchng.com/index.php/news/i , rtificates |

None of these would work because the odour itself is not sourced from that "environment." That is popular thinking, illogical and kitchen-sink problem solving. The occur comes from his digestive system and the overflow is what his wife is warning him about. These are warnings the body gives to tell something is wrong and this is ample warning to get "things" in order before the immune system is compromised beyond what is tolerably accepted. Don't be surprised that if you probe further, the paste itself might have contribute to the current problem @TRAC WHAT THEN IS THE SOLUTION |

The 55years old Chairperson of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Farida Waziri was on Wednesday relieved of her duty by President Goodluck Jonathan. The sack was contained in a statement released by the Presidency stating that "the president has approved the appointment of Mr Ibrahim Lamorde as the Acting Chairman/Chief Executive of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The appointment takes immediate effect, and effectively relieves Mrs Farida Waziri of her position as EFCC Chairman." Also confirming the change of baton in the commission, the EFCC spokesperson, Femi Babafemi in a telephone interview said that it was true, but not willing to disclose what could have led to the hurried termination of Mrs. Waziri's appointment, considering that her tenure still remains a year. Mr. Babfemi However told NEXT that "She is not ready to react to the development yet, until it is officially communicated to her. That is according to her. So, let's wait for the official communication of things." Mrs. Waziri was amid controversy with the senate appointed the chairman of the anti-graft agency by late President Umaru Yar'Adua on May 18, 2008, and confirmed by the Senate on May 27, 2008. She was born on July 7, 1946 and raised in Gboko, Benue State. She obtained her law degree from the University of Lagos and obtained a Masters degree in Law from the Lagos State University. In 1996, she gained a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies from the University of Ibadan. Enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 1965 and rose to the position of Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mrs Waziri held the positions of Assistant Commissioner of Police (Operations), screening and selection, Assistant/Deputy Commissioner of Police Force C.I.D Alagbon, Lagos, Commissioner of Police, General Investigation and Commissioner of Police in charge of X-Squad. Mr. Lamorde has however as directed by the Presidency assumed duty as the Acting Chairman of the Commission. As the third Police office to head the commission, he was the Director of Operations under the leadership of both Nuhu Ribadu and Farida Waziri. Mr. Lamorde was also removed from the commission with Mr. Ribadu in 2008, but was reportedly asked to resume back in May 2008, pending the resolution of Mrs. Waziri's appointment as at the time. The Senate had delayed Mrs. Waziri's screening based on the allegation that she had assumed office before her name was sent to the National Assembly for screening. Mrs. Waziri's tenure at the Commission was marred with series of allegation as also reported by Next, including g letters of pardon for people being investigated by the Agency, such as former Delta State Governor James Ibori, she was also criticized by U.S.diplomats in the Wikileaks cables for being unprepared and for being controlled by politicians. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was established in 2003 to investigate financial crimes such as advance fee fraud (419 fraud) and money laundering. source: http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/H , c_boss.csp |
