Depends on your age, who the person is to you, the reason the person will sponsor you.

The person whose wedding you are attending.

And the financial strength of the person sponsoring you.

Make things easy for yourself. You can put CAD$5000 - CAD$6000 for the visa application sake. You don’t want these guys to get you for insufficient fund.

Accommodations are generally expensive in Canada. The hotel alone might cost you more than US$800 for the 10 days.

Their own question is more confusing than that of UK. UK will ask how much is available for your trip. This I understand includes flight, accommodation, feeding, transport etc.

But canada asks how much is available for your stay. I assume this means how much will you spend on accommodation, feeding, transport and shopping. Flight not included.

I put 3k in my application for 10 day, even though i meant 3k USD.I hope it does not become a problem. Though I currently have UK visa.

I don't know if I have to use a Web form to explain this.

I am definitely re-applying. I use a sponsor . And the other people use their personal plus sponsor s for the same conference. The agent apply for us all. I don’t have NIN or bvn or bank in Nigeria, as at the time of my application. I actually wanted to do Express entry now. I spent hours reading comment in EE forum nairaland, I don’t understand nada.

Good day house, I applied for a visiting visa late last year, for my sister's graduation but I was refused. I would have posted this earlier but not have much time to. Pls could someone explain why, cos I don't really understand. The funds I indicated I would use for the trip expenses were in a savings and it my personal savings over the years.

There is nothing wrong with your application.

They assume that whatever you claim to earn as income, that your government should confirm this.

So they want to see a tax document from your government detailing how much you earn and how much tax you pay. Or an audit of you business , showing how much you make and how much is your profit.

If you are lucky, the audit document alone will serve. Else you will need tax clearance to back it up. And it will cost you money, depending on how much you quoted as your annual income.

That's the mistake more self employed people make. You can quote high figures and have large savings, but then your tax will have to match the figure you quoted.

Get your business audited for like 2 years, and arrive at your quoted annual income after tax.

Use this document and apply again.

If it does not work, back it up with tax and apply again.

You don't need to. But make sure you have access to whatever information the agent filled on your behalf. So you don't provide contradictory information.

African countries don't really count in travel history. Don't waste your money going to Ghana.

Nov 13 biometrics, still no response. Hotel reservation is already canceled and I have not made a new reservation because I don't know how long this process will take.

Is there need for a Web form, since reservation is already canceled? Do I need to make another reservation or just wait for their response?

Will they be ing the hotel to confirm reservation? Reservation was for 31st January, for 2 weeks. Buts already cancelled as the time has ed.

It will reduce productivity and cause inflation. But for those who want to be lazy and make some interest on money, it could be fun.

But inflation will wipe out the profits from treasury bills etc

Hello all. A friend asked me to help her fill the application form for canada visit visa. I told her it was stressful based on my experience filling the form.

I think I read somewhere that the process is easier for someone who has valid US visa. Since she has valid US visa, I want to know if she will fill less information than normal.

Is there a faster application process for those who have US visa?

Are you a first time applicant? Be expecting a response any moment from next week, if they still process applications based on their timelines. As at the time I applied mid November, the processing time was barely 100 days. Early December, it was 109 days before they shot it up astronomically in the week that followed. Though I've since picked up my visa. I had a valid US visa with 5 years validity before applying.

I guess the US Visa made yours faster. Yes I am a first timer. I guess having valid UK visa does not change anything.

How much is available for your stay means how much are you bringing to Canada to spend during your 10-day stay...3k should be fine in that case, depending on your movement while in Canada though. If you have programmes in different cities or provinces far apart. They'd assume you'd want to fly and in this case, flight ticket would gulp a huge part of the 3k. Just hope for the best and have faith

It all depends on duration of stay. If you're not staying beyond say, 12 days, 4k is fine. State clearly that its your travel allowance and doesn't include airfare and hotel accommodation. They'd do the maths for both, using the bank statement you're presenting. If statement credit balance carries some weight , you should be fine.

You can see a room of btw 60-100CAD in most of the major cities per night. Your max expenses on accommodation would be 1,200CAD. You'd still have enough in your pocket to spend on places you'd like to visit before returning home.

Because from my understanding of how much Is available for your stay, I thought flight and accommodation is not part . I don't know how they interpret it.

Canada doesn't take both flight and hotel reservations into consideration when approving a TRV application. Otherwise, they'd not be approving visas after the event you planned to attend in their country is long expired. Their seemingly endless processing time, which they're quite aware of, is another reason they don't take cognisance of the aforementioned.

Because UK will ask how much is available for your trip. This I understand covers everything from flight to accommodation etc. But in the case of canada they asked how much is available for your stay.

If this includes flight and accommodation, then I don't think the 3k will be enough . But if its money you have at hand to spend in canada, then it will be enough.

So do I have to let them know the flight and hotel is not included .

Hello Bosses in the house, please I need your advice concerning my application.

I visited UK on a 6 months visa, after which I applied for 5 years visa and it was successful.

I decided to apply for canadian visit visa. But here are the issues I am facing.

I booked a hotel on booking.com for 10 days from 31st January. I did my biometric in Abuja on the 13th of November.

However I got a mail from booking that the hotel reservation I made was cancelled. I called the hotel and they said there was a problem with booking, that most reservations done there were cancelled.

I was giving an option to book again directly with them or go back to booking.com and book again.

Now I made a deposit and I have not requested for refund. Since I don't really know how long the process will take I have not bothered to book again .

My fear is that the embassy might the hotel and be told I don't have a reservation.

Secondly on the form I was asked how much is available for my stay and I stated 3000 dollars. I am worried that they may assume my flight and hotel reservation is part of the 3k, which is not what I meant.

So please, what do I do about the hotel reservation. And how to I clarify that the 3k is just for my stay, hotel and flight not included.

I will appreciate your advice .
