BankyGee: He has scored a goal in the four times he has played against Sampdoria and the four times against Cagliari in the league. 1 Like 1 Share |

MetalJigsaw: Exactly what I just thought. Ndidi will always be Ndidi, even now he is coming into this tournament with some impressive offensive records from his club. That solidifies a Mikel-esque play. He can defend and can contribute to an attack when he has an opportunity for that. As a CDM I think I will play safe, like in Rohr's tactics by bringing in Onyeka with him, especially against the Ivorian team. |

daveP: Exactly. We need that sort of leadership quality. People really forget how much of an engine victor Moses was at that afcon. Mikel, Enyeama played about 5 AFCON, Ahmed musa probably one or two as well. Emenike was huge but aside that tournament he didn't make a big name for himself, especially after leaving Spartak Moscow to West Ham. Sunday Mba we all know, anybody can be a Sunday(I he scored his two tournament goals on Sunday as well) but Moses was the difference maker. Something Moses Simon tired but failed to do at the last Afcon cameroun .simon was impressive at the group stages but withered out. We need that player who can actually hold the ball and take decisions. Simon I fear might just be too old for that now again. I have not been convinced about Ademola Lookman. This will be his first tournament representing us, I in his last tournament for the three lions at the under 21 world cup he was quite outstanding. I'm hoping he understands that the game is not about him, but about the team. I hope he will put the team first, assist when he has to assist and defend whenever he is needed. In all it is about winning every game 3 Likes |

TheGoodJoe: Lol. You know very well that we don't nurture in the super eagles. And of course we should look for promising talents to strengthen the squad. It's almost January, I'm more confident having Adeleye or Uzoho in goal against Ivory Cost. That is not the time to have a promising talent too big a risk. Perhaps he can come into the camp And learn. |

Philosopher1979: In all sincerity I believe in Pesiero, I believe we stand a better chance with him leading us to the AFCON at least a semi-final spot is realizable. I'm rather happier we are not going into the tournament with self-overconfidence. I had the same feeling of patience with the Super Falcons coach prior to their outstanding world cup campaign. The team will gel.. Even keshi's AFCON team did not gel until the do or die game we had against Ivory Coast. Luckily the Ivorian also had a poor goalkeeper in Barry. When u watch the goals he conceded against Nigeria in the quarter finals, if Uzoho conceded such we would have called for his head. So, I say every team is coming to win. And it is the team that just finds the blend that wins. Senegal at the last AFCON struggled throughout the group stage but won albeit via penalty kicks against Egypt we beat in our opening match. We are playing well, we are not just converting chances. And I say that with our attackers hitting the right tournament fever just like Odion Ighalo in 2019 we are on course for a good tournament. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Kog45: Odegbami spoke many truths. Our league is very poor. Enyeama with Enyimba played against Ismaili of Egypt and conceded six goals in cairo. How many of such exposure does Christian Nwoke have playing in the league? Is he just playing against his fellow NPFL that he is considered good enough? Uzoho shone for Deportivo in la liga as a substitute goalkeeper and that was his turning point. Unfortunately, his development seems to have stalled. We need goalkeepers who are already doing it at least on the continent. 2 Likes |

Marjoribanks: Look at what Boniface does to the team, look at Grimaldo, Frimpong, and Writz all having at least seven goals and assist contributions to the team. That's what Boniface does to the team. He makes everyone around him good. That's why he is key for them. He is the reason the team is built this way. even when he is not scoring he is assisting. That quality, my brother is something I don't think Schick has. Boniface is the gel, he makes them click and everyone is contributing. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Amedino99: We are left behind. Just look at the women's Champions League in Africa. We declined further by failing to qualify even when we hosted. A team from Ghana still came to beat us. This coach we have appointed is on what merit. If our local coaches aren't winning the African women champions league I believe they have no say in the national team. Likewise our male team. We need coaches who can always get to the semifinals of the African champions league. If our local based or home-based players are not dominating Africa then there is no point bringing them into the national team. If it is a management problem then there shouldn't be promotion for state board managers to the glass house. To whom much is given much is expected. 1 Like |

Team way dey on a losing streak e reach una turn to whip them, una dey do like Rev. Father Benevolent and sister Merciful. Spare the the needless narrative of how each one of them tried. These boys are not hungry. Evidently, Loss of from from club affects them, look at Sadiq. The average guys like Ndidi, Iheanacho, Boniface and Moses Simon showed why they are at top forms in their clubs. Jpes is lucky with players making their debut under him and clicking to the team. The right back and left back have virtually clicked for him. Bright and Bruno, not forgetting the striker Boniface. They have been great addition to the team. The others are still purging their minds of the previous national team coaches they played with. They don't seem to get the message well. 3 Likes |

90 percent of us here knew that free kick will be a goal. It's almost 2 years and we still have a goalkeeper problem. Fine, the ball deflected off Bassey, and Bassey caused the freekick that led to the first goal and again the keeper should have done better with the first goal.

charlesemeka85: His football knowledge is beyond his age. I watched him for the first time in the last much against Napoli, and I could instantly tell the sky is his starting point. not because he is my countryman but then when u see the confidence he plays with for a teenager at that level it is quite impressive how composed he is. 2 Likes 1 Share |
