If bridges can be mended. I'd wish Victor goes back to Napoli.

The value he has and wears was as a relationship between him and the club.

Emotions aside, Napoli are Seria A Champions. A testament that they can do it "AGAIN" without him.

Here is the jerk, I don't think Lukaku has the lungs of Osimhen. Infact Lukaku is an average backup. If Napoli have any serious ambition next season they better turn to the guy who first made it happen for them in the person of Victor Osimhen

ADL knows better.

I was really hoping Osimhen's next club will be subjected to less transfer rumors, based on the last summer transfer nightmares.
Can the Nigerian bloggers and his friends on X let the boy just be?
When there is a concrete deal it will be well known.

I must say that Eberechi Eze may not have turned out for Nigeria but I am happy for how his career hss turned out so far. Taking Crystal palace to their first major trophy in their entire history is huge and remarkable and doing it against the biggest clubside of the last decade in England, Man City was even sweeter.

Congrats Eze.

Just too bad this still wont get him Regular England starts. But City or Arsenal needs a player like Eze.

Eze will be a huge upgrade on Odegaard and also a fair KDB replacement with a touch of David Silva (although Wirtz is eyed by City too).

'huge upgrade on Odegaard and also a fair KDB replacement'. I like how you put it

Victor Osimhen is now Galatasaray's second highest African top scorer and the first Nigerian top scorer in the history of the club!πŸ”₯πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬

He's done this in one season! Shattering records and setting new ones.

1. Shabani Nonda – 37 goals in 93 matches
2. Victor Osimhen – 35 goals in 39 matches (and counting) πŸ†•
3. Sofiane Feghouli – 34 goals in 162 matches
4. Mbaye Digne – 26 goals
5. Henry Onyekuru – 22 goals in 71 matches
6. YounΓ¨s Belhanda – 22 goals
7. Didier Drogba – 20 goals in 53 matches
8. Mostafa Mohammed – 17 goals in 57 matches
9. Garry Rodrigues – 16 goals
10. AurΓ©lien Chedjou – 12 goals in 119 matches

Victor Osimhen still has 3 matches to go and 3 more goals to top this chart in a season! On LOAN! πŸ”₯
King of Strikers! πŸ¦πŸ‘‘πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬

Osimhen needs two more goal right now. This is his true statement call to prove when you are BIG you are BIG

Samuel Chuwkueze had a big game yesterday for Milan. He came on as a substitute when Milan was down by a goal to Bologna. He contributed to the three goals Milan eventually scored including providing an assist. He was massive in the game.

This is clutching at straws moment... what's gone is gone for good. Only a rare miracle will make us qualify for the world cup. Infact it will be easier for a camel to through the eye of a needle than it is for us to qualify. The earliest we start accepting this fate the better it will be. I don't even south Africa qualifying for any world cup since Korea and Japan 2002 . 2010 was because they qualified as host. Here is a golden opportunity staring at them , and we we are just playing all our last cards on them. UsaCanMex will not have Nigeria and it is a bitter truth

Following the NFF formal protest to FIFA, Zimbabwe have now moved their home game against Bafana Bafana out of South Africa.

The NFF, as first reported by SCORENigeria, complained to FIFA that South Africa have been handed an unfair advantage in the qualification race to the 2026 World Cup as their final four qualifiers will all be played in South Africa.

This is because both Lesotho and Zimbabwe picked South Africa as their home grounds after their own stadiums were not approved to be staged the World Cup qualifiers.

On Tuesday, Zimbabwe announced that they have changed their home ground from South Africa to Rwanda for their World Cup qualifier in October.

Zimbabwe initially played the qualifiers in Rwanda before they settled for South Africa, were they recently forced a 2-2 draw with Benin.

The three other qualifiers involving Bafana Bafana will be played in South Africa – vs Lesotho, Super Eagles and Rwanda.

They lead Group C with 13 points from six matches.

U20 Afcon Update

Arierhi Kparobo (#9) and Precious Benjamin scored as Nigeria's U20 Flying Eagles defeated Hosts, Egypt 2-1 in a friendly ahead of the U20 Afcon Opener.

Bidemi Amole assisted Kparobo for the first goal.

Divine Oliseh won the penalty which Precious converted.

They should take this tournament seriously, especially the home based players. Their tournament performance can help them get money moves in the middle East as well as the Egyptian league.

Currently watching Manchester united playing Manchester city and seeing Bruno Fernandes play today is reminiscent of the great Austin jay jay Okocha of Bolton wanderers. The way he tries to bring in his teammates into the game, the way he interprets the game on the field, Releases the ball on time .

Play for england, no problem
Play like Tammy and Tomori
Or play to be a core full time player . I doubt it.

Wouldn't be surprised if arsenal sells him to Brentford, palace or Newcastle.

Eric Chelle is in London to meet Arsenal Whiz Kid, Ethan Nwaneri to convince him to commit his future by dorning the green white green.

Eric Chelle has plans to meet other players to beef up the SE squad.

He better come to Nigeria , the earlier the better. He will be second choice to saka at arsenal. Saka in England is not a constant but still ahead of Ethan. So the earlier Ethan realizes this the better.

Blame the coach. Why bring in another striker instead of a defender?

That coach has a penchant of losing matches at die minutes.
With Mali he lost against Ivory coast and Ghana in his manner.
Now he has conceded a goal that can hurt us in the same manner

Honestly home based players would have been a better fit for games like this. Late Stephen Keshi knew how to get the best out of our home based guys.

It's more about mindset. Home based players need to be infused into that team.

I will be so gutted if the coach doesn't bring in Bruno, take out Osayi and switch Aina to the right. Osayi has been so poor. You can't have the current best RWB in EPL languishing on the left.

The coach must be quite redundant not to have figured this out. I wonder why he kept the same line up .

You sure this our boys want to be at the World Cup . Miss our old generation of players. These guys can’t even come from a goal down to
Tie the game let alone win it

They don't want to be at the world cup.
They don't deserve it

Even if they wait for them to deduct a whooping 6 (six) points from south African. They don't deserve it.

You wake up in the morning to hear south Africa will be deducted points, and you start playing freaking rubbish to us. What do we enjoy about this goddam country than football. And this bunch of averageee can't turn up for their nations. Let them go to hell. If they have to field our hungry local home based boys with Osimhen as a point man they will easily beat this teams. But no way. This boys aren't hungry. They are just okay.

This boys don't have any feeling of ice in them.
They don't know how to turn up when you expect them. The have a weak mentality when it comes to eagles matter.

I see why Rohr called them bunch of averageee...and even after all this games, Rohr's team still tops them.

What nonsense is this. What sort of performance is this. What a shameful display..
Winners don't play like this.
Lions don't hunt like this.

Every coach has come and failed with them.

The ones that don't fail with them are the defensive playing coaches. The most successful being Pesiero and Rohr.

I see why Rohr was cautious about them. It's all in their heads.

Sadly we have a better away record than home. There is so many things wrong with them.

I was not particularly impressed with lookman who seemed to play for goal. He forgets that sacrifice is the real substance. The spotlight don't have to be on you always. It's all about the team.

SA lost to Mali in their first match at the AFCON right? I think then they were still finding their feet and hadn't settled into their stride.

In their next match, they dispatched Namibia 4 - 0 and thereafter played goalless with Tunisia.

In the round of 16, they defeated tournament favourites Morocco 2 nil. I watched that game. and they were really impressive.

Q/F, they dispatched Cape Verde by penalties in a game they should have lost,

S/F, they played their best game against Nigeria cos Hugo Bross changed their formation to mirror ours by playing a 5-3-2 which was the first time we encountered a team playing that formation so it proved difficult for us.

3rd place match, They reverted to their normal formation. SA played terribly and Congo DR should have won if not for profligacy in front of goal really. SA eventually won via penalty.

After the Nations cup, they've only lost once, which was to Rwanda away in match day 2 of the WCQs.

This SA team is a problem. Make Rohr and Benin Republic just do the Lord's work for us by defeating them or playing a draw.

Who are the teams, we're most likely to meet in the play-offs?

That's interesting...so SA has lost once after AFCON. So many interesting coincidence.. although Nigerian team has lost thrice since AFCON. We have lost to Chelle's Mali.
Lost to Benin as well as Rwanda at home.

I hope South Africa follows this pattern , they lost to Chelle's Mali at AFCON , lost to Rwanda and now I pray they lose to Benin...just like Nigeria. πŸ˜‹πŸ™πŸ˜ž

There is a problem with this crop eagles most of them including the captain are not natural ball players. They are stiff, Lethargic and don't seem to know what to with the ball.Coach chelle has to get us some grassroots players with understanding of the the Nigerian Traditional style of player, real baller from the NPL to blend with a few foreign based players or else we might have ers loosing interest in our games. Our football play is very boring walahi

The truth is when they bring them on like that, they will leave the Nigerian league to play in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Cyprus division 3.. some even will use the national team to play in the Tanzanian league. It clearly shows that this players you bank on for that role aren't good enough for the national team. They will rather use the national team as a footstep to play in less popular leagues which meets their financial needs. Now if you are a really good player, you can start from the Nigerian league and force yourself to Belgium, Norway, Sweden and Denmark..any Nigerian league player who carves out this pattern of development is good enough for the eagles

Omo. Did Nigeria play like this under Genort Rohr?
Yes. We would lead Seria Leone by four goals and end up playing a draw, just as Benin is doing. Then Rohr will wait till a player is injured or late on in the game before he makes a substitute, that's what is happening to Benin. Then he will make a substitute and bring on a defensive midfielder to stable his team playing a draw, simply because he believe his team is a bunch of averageee players and cant perform better than that. Rohr is old. When you are old you tend to be apprehensive of risk. Thank God we have dodged this bullet. He has done the best he could for us.

Yeah .. people like Ekong are quite smart to understand the Nigerian terrain. He is backed by Godswill Akpabio, that's why he is always running to visit Akpabio after any tournament.

It's unfortunate that his partner Balogun who I believe is rather more talented than Ekong doesn't have this grace. What did Balogun say that made them refuse to invite him again, was it not about how they treat players in of welfare and all. And that was the end. A person like Ekong will not speak on those things but will play politics on it.

what do u mean by naturally talented? E get players wey be artificially talented?

Baba Bassey is more talented than Ndah any day any time

The progression of their career says it all

I mean if Olisa Ndah was born in Europe like Bassey, he might equally be playing for an EPL team at least. That's what I say he might (debatable) be better at reading games and less eratic as compared to Bassey, who is more bullish and physical like the classical defenders of the 90s. Ndah captains Pirates will all due respect. But I know it will be hard for any player playing for a team like Pirates or the other two big teams in SA to thirst for European football. They are quite ok at the level.

Yeah Olisa might be naturally talented than Bassey, but Bassey has a better working experience...

🚨The Nigerian Sports Commission (NSC)πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ has given full to the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF)πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ in their pursuit of Arsenal Star Ethan Nwaneri.
According to a close family member, the youngster will play for whoever approaches him first between England and Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬.
Although he has already represented England in the youth level, he still remains eligible to represent Nigeria as he is yet to be capped by the Three Lions.

This is only some sort of publicity, some sort of media stunt, and for whoever the party that benefits from this I can't tell. But you see, if you really have such a high potential player within your reach. And you have the slightest possiblity of getting him you will not need the media on this anymore. You will go directly for him.
