Someone close, or so dear, to you is being held hostage spiritually and is very sick; the chances of hir surviving is very slim, especially if nothing urgent is done to save hir.

Given that women - at least the majority, of which most of you here are among - are giving in to hypergamy, which means that altruism/love has never been their forte, it's therefore oxymoronic to assert or assume that women have always aided struggling love or advise them to stop doing so. This by extension makes your advice in this regard an irony and balderdash in general. They earlier you lots stop being hypocritically disingenuous, the better. I doff my heart to the very minute few of you here who aren't. That said, provided that Yul's first wife had not been like you lots who're proponents, propagators and/or practitioners of self-absorption and opportunism in general, shame on him for betraying her selflessness and conscientiousness in general - if otherwise, however, she deserved her fate and shame on her. A true good woman deserves all the respect, care, loyalty and love in general that a man in her life can offer. No sane man should be caught hurting a woman unjustly. 13 Likes |

Only a few other exhibition acts of abuse can be as painful and provoking as this act of disingenuousness - stomping on someone intentionally and praising her, or telling her sorry, while still on it. From all indications, she's the main architect of this whole entanglement, Yul is just her victim, albeit consensually, undiscerningly and gritlessly, same as the first wife who's the biggest victim, if she had always been a good wife. Yul ought not to be going about claiming a "real man" - yes, polygamy isn't a crime under normal circumstances - since he didn't have the ball to tell the first wife about his decision beforehand. Owning responsibility of his deed because that seems better than the other worst options available isn't a sign of confidence/real man. More so, meting out treachery - which is what it should be, assuming that the first wife had always been a good woman and dutiful wife - is simply an act of cowardice and heartlessness in general and has nothing to do with being a real man/clever/confident/woke, etc. 1 Like |

OgunkeelAllMod: Come on, boy, objectivity isn't your forte, and it's a clear sign that you've got a single-digit IQ. My post you quoted represents a statement of fact devoid of my political leaning and leanings of all types in general; therefore, it neither directly nor indirectly indicates that Tinubu is my candidate for president for the 2023 presidential election. By the way, I'm never given to giving the impression of religiosity since I'm irreligious, another prove from your erroneous assertion in your rant that you possess a single-digit IQ. Now, scram and direct your further mention to small-minded elements like you. |

I'd like to assume that the first wife gave him justifiable reasons to arrive at this; else, his action should be condemned than praised because it doesn't encourage selflessness from women - if she had always been a good woman and dutiful wife, she doesn't deserve to be meted out a pernicious act at all.

Those of you mentioning Tinubu will be surprised that he'll likely scale through the test. He was tried, and found guilty, for drug dealing not consumption, so there's a likelihood that he has not taken it before.

That's the most honourable step to take given that politics of tribalism and/or prejudice takes precedence over politics of principle and conviction in the country - no wonder the country is in shambles. Politics being a game of numbers, it makes no sense for someone from the South East to waste his time and resources contesting for the office of the president of the country under the present configuration and mindset of the majority of the citizens, unless it's microzone to it, since the majority of the voters from the areas that have the larger voting strengths are consciously and unconsciously prejudicial against the people of the zone - only a fool will not acknowledge this. Quitting the race won't be because he lacks courage and other personal wherewithals required to see his aspiration to fruition, no, but because the majority of the voters are imbecilic, small-minded, and foolish in general. In a country where small-minded elements and foolish elements in general are in the majority, expecting them to subscribe to politics of principle and conviction - the hallmark of sane people and voters - is like expecting a horse to through the eye of a needle. 8 Likes 1 Share |

paramakina202: Don't waste your time on such a bumpkin and his likes, unless you're doing it for fun and not because he is worth the consideration of being taking seriously and counted among the sane and sound. When someone is unconsciously prejudicial on political matters and stop at that, you can always give him a benefit of doubt, but once you observe that he isn't just unconsciously prejudicial but also sententiously and hypocritically ethnocentric and disingenuous, you know that he's an embodiment of small-mindedness and foolishness in general and consider him so infinito. 2 Likes |

His permutation can only hold true - to him and anyone in of it - simply because what's being practiced in the country is politics rooted in tribalism and/or prejudice instead of politics of principle and conviction. No wonder the country is in shambles. That politics is a game of numbers doesn't mean that the numbers are automatically expected to be generated from the base of a candidate with the huge voting power, no. Only small-minded elements and foolish elements in general think so. Where politics of principle and conviction is the order of the day - as obtained where the majority of the people and voters are sane - the best candidate always gets the votes of the majority, regardless of the voting strength of hir base. Unfortunate, in a country where small-minded elements and foolish elements in general are in the majority, expecting them to subscribe to politics of principle and conviction - the hallmark of sane people and voters - is like expecting a horse to through the eye of a needle. Whether direct or indirect primaries, the president's choice candidate will likely win the presidential primary, with the consent, cheerfully or grudgingly, of the majority of the governors and stakeholders in general of the party. This is so because in the main election, the presidential election will come first before the governorship election, so the governors will not like to be on the wrong side of the president's book; else, he will end their chances of having their preferred candidates winning at the state level.

SeaTrade: The fact that you expect me to start mentioning names of the men of timber and caliber I know that married their women primarily based on more important considerations other than their age isn't only laughable but also goes a long way to show how small-minded you're. SeaTrade: Eschew this kind of mindset. As much as I do not hold a brief for the guy and not trying to undermine the importance of youthfulness/consideration of age moderation, the age of a lady is one of the least things most men of timber and caliber do consider when sincerely considering a woman worthy of companionship. Remove her photo from here, at least for now, if you truly mean well for her. Besides, she used to be a member of this forum; I don't know if she's still active. In fact, either you or she is a lair. Small-minded elements like the assumed Oba - let me still believe that he was quoted out of context - always think that everyone is foolish not to see through their shenanigans; people that have always mistaken their expedient disposition for cleverness; disingenuousness for diplomacy/civility, and servility for wisdom. Nonsense. Making such a callous and unfounded statement when he can't point out where it's established that the South Easterns do not sell lands to people from other tribes is a pointer to my points above. 69 Likes 9 Shares |

Succinctly written. Meanwhile, as much as verbal abuse can't be eradicated, it can be reduced if most men encourage their wives/companions to always be expressive, thereby preventing them from sulking and sucking up their thoughts (whether negative or positive, especially the negative/opposing thoughts on issues), which breed built-up emotion of anger that usually metamorphose to vitriol which itself is the core of verbal abuse. Getting this done chiefly entails none of the parties involved expecting the other person to walk on eggshells around them or have a desire to be put on a pedestal. Taking to egalitarianism in word and action is a must to bring this to fruition. Summarily, the poor concept of respect is the chief breeding of verbal abuse - except where a habitual toxic woman is involved - whether in a spousal relationship or any other form of relationship. 3 Likes |

There is nothing servile/stupid/simp about a man that places his confidence on his wife/companion who has not given him cogent reasons to distrust her prior to meting out a pernicious act, like this one, on him. So, cut the man some slacks unless you are a firsthand witness to him putting up with her untrustworthiness prior to this particular incident, the shame should be on the woman, or the man, if the reverse were to be the case - betray me, shame unto you; outsmart me, shame unto me is my personal philosophy.
