The agents are the reasons houses are expensive for rents in nigeria most especially lagos.

You will hear that a house yearly rent is 500k and you will hear total package is 700k..like almost 50% extra to be paid all in the name of agency fees , caution fees and nonsense things..

Agency fees that is not supposed to be more than 10% , naija agents will charge even up to 40% ..smh

This is even fair. Rent 500k, total package 700k.


My guy rented an apartment (2-Bed) in Ogba for N1.4m per annum, total package was #2.4m
