I purchased them when the battery was expensive; each cost 1.9 million. They are now being sold on Fouani for 1.5 million. The charge voltage hovers around 57.4v when at 100%.
is your charge and float voltage on 57.4v??

Ferdiwar:
No, I'm using Deye inverter but some suggests using protocol 51 on growatt inverter depending on the model you're using.
You can check the manual for guidance.
Float voltage is lower than the charge voltage, mine sits at the 58.4v for certain minutes (I've not really taken note of the actual duration) when it gets to 100% before dropping down to the float voltage of 53.6v.
6kw Growatt. Protocol 52. Charge and float 58.4. That's why i used manual settings, make my beloved deye battery no go swell up. Though i just edited the float voltage to 53.6 to see if it will work, because growatt inverter manual indicates setting float and charge at thesame voltage i dont know why. I just put the float at 53.6 and charge at 57.6 to see the outcome.
Update.. Growatt refuses to charge battery when float and charge voltage are different.

Deye BMS are usually programed to charge to 3.65/cell (58.4) and float @3.35/cell (53.6). I've been using mine with the comm connected since 2023 and it's been working great.
I'll recommend you install the comms back and set the protocol appropriately.
Do you use growatt inverter? What protocol are u using?Because the protocol i selected, charges to 58.4 and floats at 58.4 too. Thought lifepo4 charges and floats at same voltage??

Its not like that
Haisic is only doing what the Nigerians that went to the factory request for.
Anybody can go to a Chinese brand and request for specifics and that's what would be manufactured.
if you bold go meet deye to produce low quality battery for you and brand it deye.. a company that can alter quality to suit distributors request should be tossed in the bin

Hi everyone, My officer has just sent me a message that my TB is successful, I have also had confirmation email from my bank, he has however re invested the interest. This was not the plan, nor was it stated in the request email I sent to the bank through him. I am upset as to why he has done that without consulting me or asking if I wanted the interest investment or paid to me. During one of our calls I mentioned to him that once successful I should be credited the interest as I need it to sort out something this week. Please has anyone ever experienced this, how were you able to resolve this please. This is my first time of doing TB
Which bank?

I checked the battery voltage history and I found some scenarios where it crossed 58V. I attached an image here, you shouldn't have problem if you use 57v, 56.8 is already close.
Thanks.

Okay, i use same battery though with a Growatt inverter, looking for a perfect voltage to set it at, as i disconnected communication between battery and inverter. As Growatt charges to 58.4v when communication is used. Though ive been charging at 56.8. I never get power for deye inverter now. Its around 1m.

I have implemented several automations. One automation turns off powerful appliances when consumption exceeds solar generation for more than 20 minutes, but only if the time is after 4:00 PM. Another automation activates a custom-built fan that I attached to the external heatsink when the temperature rises above 48 degrees Celsius. I have an automation that turns on the water heater once the battery reaches 100%.
The past 5 months have been great so far.
My system consists of Deye 6kw SG03 version, Deye SE-G5.1 PRO-B x 2, Jinko 555w x 12
How much did you buy the deye SE G5.1 Pro B? And secondly what is your charge/float voltage??

Hello house.. Is there anyone here familiar or has invested in Stanbic Ibtc dollar fund? I called customer care and asked about the risk of the investment, and they said it was low and nearly none existent like mmf. But when i checked through their website. It said the risk profile is aggressive. Does it mean one can lose both interest and capital??

Hi,
Battery is easy just as you have stated, daily load in kW = battery capacity in kWh
You need the division to multiply the pv and the inverter.
Note that you can still get away without upgrading your inverter but its very likely that if your demand increases your peak power also increases.
Hope that clarified things.
Okay.Thanks

GloryJoyeux:
Hi,
From my experience, here is the cheat code to the simplest and easiest technique to size a perfect off grid solar ess system.
1. Calculate on average how much energy you use daily eg 15kWh ie 15 units of grid (NEPA) light
2. Get a battery that is equal in capacity to your daily average energy consumption eg 14 - 15kWh
3. Then size with pv that is half or close to half the battery storage capacity eg 7 - 7.5kW s
4. Then get an inverter that can carry the max total load power during your daily consumption cycle (ie what is the max power you use when all your needed devices are turned on).
So let’s assume with your major appliances turned on you consume a max of 3kW (maybe when microwaving food, boiling water etc). You then get an inverter that is minimum 1.3 x the max power, so in this case a minimum of 1.3 x 3kW power = 3.9kW. So a 4kW and above inverter is good.
Example: following the above, for a 15kW average daily total consumption, you will get a 14-15kWh battery, 7-7.5kW s and a 4 - 5kW inverter.
If you size your system with this method, you will be 100 percent off grid and will have two (2) days of autonomy i.e if rain falls and there is poor yield, your battery will still last you the night of poor yield (2 nights if you add the night before poor yield day).
What if your load demand then increases?
It’s simple if divide the new average daily load by the former average load and multiply the answer by every part of you off grid system.
Eg, if you now consume average of 20kW daily
20kW (new) / 15kW (old) = 1.33
So 1.33 x 15kWh (former battery capacity) = 20kWh for new total battery capacity
1.33 x 7.5kW s = 10kW for total pv
1.33 x 4kW inverter = 5.3 so lets say 5.5 - 6kW inverter
So 20kWh total battery, 10kW total pv and 5.5 - 6kW inverter is what you need you system rating to be in order to accommodate the new average daily load of 20kW.
Conclusion:
This is my personal, practical and researched method. Anytime you use it on the field or personally, , knowledge shared is the best reward for knowledge that was gained.
Why the 1.33 multiplication, u advised to get a 15kw battery when my consumption was 15kw daily, now that my consumption is 20kw, why not just get a 20kw battery like u first advised. Why involve 1.33. So if my current daily usage doubles from 15kw to 30kw, do i still do 15kw × 1.33. Is it not easier to just get a 30kw battery. Make me understand, because u dey sound like my maths teacher then wey dey make things hard....lol

If you an open an with stanbic IBTC... It'll be good. They have the best rates for both primary and secondary market (as much as I can tell) and the best thing about stanbic is they have a link u can use to access tbills auction (both primary and secondary market) from the comfort of ur home, also... U can do primary market tbills for less than 50m as against some banks that insist on 50m threshold for primary market.
And yes, I've done all these with them, so it's not hearsay.
PS: I don't work with stanbic nor am I d to them. I'm just a satisfied customer.

With experience on hybrid inverters with 500v max, has anyone try close to 480v or more VOC installation?
i have successfully done 440v on a 450v max voc. It worked. Then i did 468v on 450v, hoping the very long wire will probably sag the voltage to 440v, didn't work. Inverter displayed 448 to 455v. And an awful sound was coming from inside the inverter. I had to remove one before it stabilised. Verdict : you can get close to the max voc, but dont cross it.

Book session with Dam5reey to open the battery.
Thereafter you can write to FCC to handle the case for you. I doubt you will spend anything using them compared to the police route, though their action may not be immediate but I see no hurry.
have you solved any issue with fcc or know someone that has? Just asking..

Union na them them, they'll surely use kids gloves on one of their own. Just look for his new house, get him arrested from home. Atleast, it will give u closure that u saw the issue to the end. From the way you're sounding, if you dont take action, your mind no go rest, and i know how it feels. You will be reminded of it anytime you see the battery. Take action. A friend mine of arrested a big hospital , security guard, cctv operator because another patient stole his wife's phone in the hospital. And cctv footage revealed the thief has been stealing from patients, and the hospital is aware. Imagine what that kind of person will do in your situation. Some people no get mercy or time to waste on too much talk. Lol.
And secondly, dont go to a station near the market, all of them na friends already. Use an area command or something of that nature. No use division. Do this and get your peace of mind back.

Still brainstorming on other options as well as opening up the battery too just that I don’t know where opening the battery leads me to. The battery is definitely compromised.

there's absolutely nothing you can do from inside the market. The pro definitely has an executive ranking inside the market.
You can only deal with this situation outside the market.
They fleeced you close to 400k
So police cannot arrest someone that is guilty of a crime becos he is pro inside market?? Which kind country be this. You complainer , since u say he is like a brother to you. You should know his house then, carry police go arrest am early morning. Simple.

You can monitor your Deye inverter online using the Deye app or solarman app but just like most if not all inverters, it has a 5mins delay meaning you get performance Data every 5 mins.
But the solar assistant you get a real time update.
okay. Thanks

You can always buy their product (software or hardware) from their site. One of my earlier screenshots captured it or just google it. Prices is from $59 for software and $169 to $209 for device and software.
I doubt if it can be used as I don't think it's neither Axpert nor Voltronic inverter.
But to be sure you can always solar assistant by sending them a mail with your inverter specification and pictures. Especially pictures showing the communication ports.
Email: info @ solar-assistant. io
FYI: Gospower doesn't know what Solar Assistant or HA means (check attached screenshot).
For example, u mean after buying a Deye inverter, youll still have to spend over 200dollars to enable you monitor online? Same thing growatt does for free with a followcome dongle??

That the Fan has an input of 15v, probably for a charger, doesn't mean it's directly sent to the Fan's motor. A couple of step-downs would be made that at end of the day, the motor might actually be taking 12-volts or less
you're right. My rechargeable fan that uses 11.1v battery, came with a 15v adaptor.
