Generally, most Australian Universities require you to pay your first year tuition. It is even advisable. Although some Universities allow Semeter payments. For Visa processing you'd have to show enough funds YoungDaddyB: 1 Like |

Okupevi1985: Yes, they look out for publications and proven resesrch experience for PHD applicants, especially those seeking scholarships. Either one or the other or both can work. Usually, once a school accepts your application, and offers you a spot.. you have a good chance at getting a Visa. But that also depends on the tier of the University you want to attend sonI always advice to add all relevant documents. Ikechukwu09: Congratulations @Ikechukwu09, how's the Visa processing coming along? |

For the SOA, it depends. Generally, with a full scholarship, an SOA might not be necessary. Butt adding an SOA with sufficient funds can help strengthen your application, demonstrating financial stability. If you choose to include an SOA,my advice is to have a SOA of not less tgan AUD30,000 To be safer, add the IELTS test scores For your home ties, include all the relevant documents, affidavits etc Ikechukwu09: |

Chukdobz20: 'Cheap' is relative sir, firstly what is your budget for a PhD in Australia ? |

Zbk001: desertboom: That's right, you're not required to pay full tuition, and yes you can finance your education with a loan but in most cases, loan companies would not offer you a loan if you haven't paid a tuition deposit. Again, I can help you guys out with the rest of the processes |

dafemlions: Yes it does...thank you very much. Also from research I found out that Canada doesn't have a Geophysics PGD course or something related and I sent e-mails to two random schools asking if they accept Nigerian PGD results but I received no reply. Do you know if a Nigerian PGD result can also be used to get a Canadian MSC ? I know they don't place emphasis on the GRE |

Good evening Mr. Dafe. I appreciate you taking out the time to reply queries here. I'm new in the thread. I Graduated in 2016 with a degree in Geophysics and a CGPA of 2.65 and I have been trying to get an ission to study an MSc in Canada but I've been rejected twice because of my CGPA. Please I want to know: Is it possible to get a direct MSc ission in the US with my CGPA if I do the GRE exam? Is it possible to get an MSc ission in the US or Canada with a PGD from Nigeria? If not, what do you suggest I do? Thanks |
