Let's compare what the CBN did to what Western countries have done with crypt0.

1. They mandate exchanges to keep very clear KYI data on all their customers so as to be able to identify transactions.
Funny thing is most exchanges already do that even the ones that are not as big as Binance.

jedisco:

2. People are mandated to pay tax on profits you make on trading. You can submit your trading details. Eitherway, some exchanges will submit all details of those who traded significant volumes to the tax office to peruse. I have attached the guidance from U.S and UK tax agencies
https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/virtual-currencies
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/tax-on-cryptoassets/cryptoassets-for-individuals
This was what I even feared they would do. Tax all profits made on trades. This would have added some more cash into the FG vaults instead of these loans they are borrowing up and down and driving the country into more debts.

I disagree on it being highly speculative per se.

If you limit your trades to bitc0in which is almost guaranteed to rise over time, I don't see how one would lose. It's usually ignorant or greedy folks that lose trading bitc0in. Look at the bitc0in chart snd tell me how trading it will mar someone if they simply bought low and held

Obviously, folks wouldn't do that. They run into different coins expecting to x10 their portfolio overnight and are burned
I'm not talking bitcoin alone but the whole cryptomarket. Even almighty bitcoin sometimes does not respect the charts. Everyone loses a trade at some point. That's why we have all sorts of stop-loss orders for risk and financial management.

The crypto sphere is massive and you can choose to limit yourself to spot trading bitcoin while some hunt crypto gems, some trade altcoins, and others trade futures or do all. There's no harm as long as we all make some profit.

A lot of people made money from free airdropped 400 UNI (currently trading at $18) just for transacting on uniswap, they probably must have missed that if they only traded bitcoin. And I'm sure, their neighbour who doesn't do crypto will be asking how his neighbour made $7200 (400 x $18) grin, it just must be fraud. Not knowing that it was received free wink

A surveyor that I came across last week told me had to run away from Crypto currency few years ago

Reason is because he hardly see gains. He went on telling me that majority are actually using it for Fraudulent means
Nigerians often bad mouth what they don't understand. He will never make any gain and keep calling those who make money from it that they are into fraud. Crypto is a highly speculative market that can make or mar you. You also need lots of patience to thrive in it. Let me cite an example, BNB is Binance coin that was sold at $0.10 when it first came out in 2017. If you had bought 500 pieces of BNB at a measly $50 (about 16k Naira), with the current price of 1 BNB in 2021 which is about $70, you will have $35000 (over 14 million Naira) sitting in your grin grin grin This is the part where those who don't understand how a high speculative market can make people rich ( or poor) will call you fraudulent.

You can't just jump into it because you heard bitcoin is rising, you then rush to buy it at all-time high, expecting some massive gains. grin grin grin Those who bought at 10 cents and have been waiting patiently for years are not fools! You come in to buy same coin at its all-time high and expect to make massive gains like the man who has been waiting patiently since 2017 angry angry angry

One guy said 10billion was traded in crypto yesterday and I am wondering, I thought they said Nigerians don't have money? Too many paradox
Try and understand this, that 10 billion was traded does not mean exactly 10 billion Naira changed hands. Trader A has 1 million Naira. He buys and resells BTC with his 1 million Naira for like 6 times a day for a total profit of 50k at the end of the day. For the exchange, that's 6.05 million Naira(worth of BTC) volume traded in total but in reality, and for Trader A, it's just his 1 million Naira that is traded six different times!

Chelsea have appointed 15 managers since I started watching football. That's crazy
Bayern Munich have appointed 13 managers since Mourinho took over Chelsea in 2014, just two managers less than Chelsea's 15. Yet, they are still consistently dominant in Bundesliga and Uefa Champions League. Nothing wrong with changing managers, if you feel you are not getting results. I'm even surprised Roman Abramovich had that patience to wait this long before firing Lampard.

I'm sorry, it's been a long time I became an MNSE. Most of my payments back then were offline at the NSE HQ in Abuja. However, if you are in Abuja you can stroll to their office and make enquiries. Also, ensure to the NSE local chapter if based in other states, even Abuja has NSE Giri, NSE Maitama etc. They are all still under the canopy of the main NSE. Through these local branches of NSE, they have people who will guide you through the process of registration better.

Asides from No.8 which can be used to witchhunt you if the boss does not like your face, the other rules are basically what is expected of an average worker. Some people are lazy and just want a salary at month's end for zero input. They will give you stupid and dumb reasons why they are not productive and late to work.

Seriously, why would you forget your daily duties? Clocking in each morning and logging out in the evening is to ensure staff arrive on time and close at exactly closing hours! Why would you not want to wear the complete uniform or keep your uniform clean at all times? There's nothing hard with all these rules! Except you plan to be a dirty truant and inactive worker, you should be going home with your complete salary month end.

the guy say act broke. You can double your hustle and be more rich but act broke to know your woman's true nature. He is 10000% right
What's the guarantee that she does not catch you and pretend to play along?
What if all the women he dates fail this acting broke test?
What if he truly becomes broke in a few months later and the woman who ed his acting broke test now dumps his *ss?
A woman's nature is beyond ing some silly ''acting broke'' test! Women rarely have the luxury of time men have ! At age 24 - 28, they are already at their prime, and must settle down due to Nigerian societal pressure or miss out and become evening newspapers grin . There's not enough time to be sampling if a broke man is a good candidate when they are other equally financially buoyant young men out there sliding into her DM daily.
A man can have all the time to study a woman's nature with his acting broke test till he meets the woman that es his test at 50 years old. wink

You need to understand that's the way life is - Self-preservation . Double your hustle and you'll be taking people's girlfriends instead cheesy cheesy cheesy

Instead of acting broke for whatever number of months, why not upgrade/double your hustle or stick to babes on your financial level. Yes, females, will rush after males that are financially buoyant. No human likes to suffer! That's the way it is!
All living things prioritize their own survival above all else and will do what is necessary to stay alive.

Severe dust/haze is a real thing and this reduces visibility on the runway and makes landing difficult for pilots.

Don't be surprised if your flight is cancelled at 800m low visibility or your pilot is forced to return to the airport he took off from after burning fuel hovering around.

Achievements for a young Nigerian at 20:
1. Not being addicted to drugs
2. Not being addicted to gambling
3. Not being a cultist

4. Building your social network (You need the connections later for jobs and businesses)
5. Must have basic computer knowledge (Excel and Word will do except you want to dabble into programming or graphics design)
6. Have learnt or be willing to learn a trade skill.
7. Understand that saving money in the bank will never make you financially buoyant. Your money needs to keep working for you.

Funny Nairalanders/Nigerians, always reacting to headlines and commenting based on the headline without digesting and understanding the story.
Every adult who knows how YouTube and social media followership works understand that Emmanuela can make money through these platform. However, this is what Kemi is saying below (emphasis on the bold fonts!), she's not disparaging Emmanuella.

Mark Angel should tell media the EXACT source of her income used to build that house to inspire other young kids #Kemitalks

Unfortunately, these greedy lots will NEVER share the money to their staff. They would rather spend the money on contractors( of phantom/unproductive projects) who are actually proxies of the DGs, Directors, Minister etc.

Too heavy for young children to wear
Not true, it only feels heavy when starched. Parents can choose to leave it unstarched but ironed and it will feel like a normal cloth.

However, I am still skeptical. Adire is just a design. Basically, cloth dipped in dye styled in dye. The question is, how is the cloth material itself derived? I understand we have a comatose cotton industry. I hope it is not through importation, else, I don't see what all these noise is all about if the cloth material is imported!

She's not playing dumb! She sincerely doesn't know because she has never bothered to. She's totally disconnected from her agency and current realities in Nigeria. Some of these so called politically appointed MDs and DGs of govt agencies, especially those appointed in the past five years, are only interested in milking the agencies through all forms of suspicious contracts. Many have never bothered to know the functions of their agencies.

The situation is not just peculiar to her alone. Many of these MDs, CEOs and DGs of government agencies that were appointed in the past five years do not know jack about the agency they are running. They are only interested in "packing" money! This is what happens when such positions are given based on political appointments and not merited by growing through the ranks of that agency!

that picture of a starving child and vulture was taken by a photographer that had the opportunity to change the destiny of that child, but he chooses because of reasons best known to him to leave that child to die, that white man has the destiny of that child in his hands but his inbuilt racist dna cannot always him do such,he later committed sucide after some years due to guilty conscience
It's not about Mr. Photographer. You are not helping this god's case by the way. god is omniscient. god knows it all. god knows the photographer will/can not help the child. god also allowed the child to die and get eaten by vultures. god knows all these things even before the boy was born. What option did god give to the child to survive despite knowing Mr. Photographer will do nothing beforehand?

This goes back to me saying: It's either the christian god is not omniscient or it is omniscient but just seeks pleasure in seeing people suffer on earth and burn in hell fire [s]or simply no proof of its existence so far[/s].

Every human can always change his/her own pathway, God knows all but prefers to guide to avoid what he doesn't want for us that's why he talks to us through dreams, prophets or even a momentary instinct that you cant explain how you got that
It's choice to heed or not
Good Morning ma,

Just before we head on and avoid confusion in the future, is the god you are referring to here the christian version? If yes, all I've said below applies.
Jonasbadoo2:
Every human can always change his/her own pathway.
If the human is willing else he gets stuck.
Jonasbadoo2:
God knows all
Good. I take it here onward, that you agree he is omniscient.
Jonasbadoo2:
but prefers to guide to avoid what he doesn't want for us.
It's choice to heed or not
Haba, no "buts". You are failing to see the contradiction with the statement after the but.
It doesn't matter the amount of dreams/prophets (this is on the assumption that dreams/prophecies are clear as crystal for everybody to interprete and not one's imagination at work. Topic for another day), the christian god knows what choice the person will make already and how it will end even before the person is born. That's the contradiction with free will!
How does god's omniscience helps by using dreams/prophecies to save innocent children that get killed by rapists and paedophile?
How does god's omniscience helps by using dreams/prophecies to save innocent people killed by car accidents, earthquakes, terrorist, bandits?
The list is exhaustive but you get my drift at this point:

The picture below is that of a starving sudanese child and a vulture waiting for it to die. god knows it all. god knows how it will end up for this child even before he was born. god knows the vulture will feast on the child. Did the boy freely choose to end this way. What did god do? Send dreams and prophecies to save the child or do nothing.

This goes back to me saying: It's either the christian god is not omniscient or it is omniscient but just seeks pleasure in seeing people suffer on earth and burn in hell fire [s] or simply no proof of its existence so far[/s].

ATEAMS:

U r going off point

Have you forgotten the gift of free Will
The problem with free will is your god can not be omniscient and at the same time offer free will as a gift. It already knows the choice person A will make even before person A makes that choice. It already knows how it will end for person A. Person A is therefore compelled to take actions this god already knows before it happens. This is not freewill but merely acting a script by person A for the entertainment of god. If you disagree, then it's either the christian god is not omniscient or he is omniscient but just seeks pleasure in seeing people suffer on earth and burn in hell fire.

If the Christian god is omnipotent and omniscient as its adherents claim, does it not already know the names of those that will be in the book of life? Before, you are born, he already knows you are going to hell fire/heaven? grin grin So what's the fuss about this book of life? Besides what type of father/mother creates an eternal burning fire for his/her children?

Any Covid 19 palliatives @ shoprite?
It is clear that what happened at the various shoprites were stealing and vandalization. However, I don't know what you intend to achieve with this misdirection of yours. The question asked is if the other warehouses that were looted truly stored palliatives or just an unfortunate fellow's warehouse.
kevoh(m): 10:15am On Oct 24, 2020
Is it just me because the only warehouse that I saw that had palliatives with COVID-19 printed boldly and was redistributed looted is the one at Mazamaza! The very first one we got to know about!

The other few warehouses, to the best of my knowledge, didn't have COVID or related printed on it. Hope people have not gone to steal from somebody's warehouse under the guise of taking long stored palliatives. I stand to be corrected anyway!
