Very myopic
View to investment...
You build for rent purpose..
To diversify your streams of income....
Business can collapse in this volatile environ.....

You are missing the point buddy.
It's better to buy land that will appreciate.
But building for rent is not the best of investment decision.

Spending 70 million naira to build a 2 story building 3 bedroom flats.

Put the rent at 350,000 naira per year for each flat in a location like Aba, it will take you more than 33 years to breakeven.

House for rent as an investment is what your children will enjoy, not you.

Use your spare money to build if you have excess cash.

If you have 80 million naira in your as a young man, don't use it to build that story building. Reinvest it in your business that gave you that 80 million naira.

You can buy land, but don't build until you have at least times 3-4 of the building budget in your .

I have said this countless times.
Agree with you.

Your assertion does'nt hold water, there are many nigerians stuck in many strange and hopeless destinations and will jumb at any slightest opportunity to return home, even empty handed.

Bro but can't they go to the embassy and ask to be deported? Cos it's better than suffering beyond words.

I really want to know

Nigerian software engineers have come a long way...not there yet but they have definitely improved.
most of them even work for remote foreign companies

Sterling online transactions used to be the most reliable, but now they're not. I have been banking with Sterling for about 6 years now. Let us say the new Nigerian made software is a setback.

Oh, ok

But not as you think.
More banks are tending towards indigenous software engineers for all applications development and , as software engineers in nigeria are good...we are not there yet but we have improved.

The banks' body language is clear: the federal government has given them an ultimatum regarding migration.

We must ask who is benefiting directly from this policy.

Not exactly buddy.

Some banks either have been running on old software which requires an upgrade or they are having a tough time paying for their old core banking software as a result of FX challenge, as most of the core banking softwares are paid with FX.

Thats why the likes of Sterling Bank have built their core banking software by themselves with Nigerian engineers
