The banks' body language is clear: the federal government has given them an ultimatum regarding migration.

We must ask who is benefiting directly from this policy.

Not exactly buddy.

Some banks either have been running on old software which requires an upgrade or they are having a tough time paying for their old core banking software as a result of FX challenge, as most of the core banking softwares are paid with FX.

Thats why the likes of Sterling Bank have built their core banking software by themselves with Nigerian engineers

Tpain wants to reduce the population of Nigeria.

I pity those people that are defending this govt. One of dem even chop Umahi walkout for saying nonsense. After organising 5000 people to vote calamity, she thinks she would be exempted.

NNPCL no longer a lucrative venture to engage as an employee. They pay less than $400 which makes it staffs below poverty scale. NNPCL that used to be d measure of success in d past, Tinubu destroyed everything good on his path.

Propaganda

Asides GTBank that migrated recently and Sterling that did so a month ago, no bank is migrating.

First Bank is not migrating. Their service is perfect. All banks are up and running.

Tpain and his failed cabinet are looking for who to blame for their failures.

A very useless istration filled with corrupt and inept crooks.

Anyone here that s and defend T-Pain, may God run your life the way the man is running Nigeria.

Sterling online transactions used to be the most reliable, but now they're not. I have been banking with Sterling for about 6 years now. Let us say the new Nigerian made software is a setback.

This government of APC just come with a lot of issues. Its just that nobody cares. Eveeyone in his office just feel they are not able to anyone. I just believe if a little discipline is infused into the Nigerian system things will change a little. People just do as they like and this is soooo bad. Some people will read this article and boom they wll change price immediately without even waiting for the outcome of the real issue.

So it is APC that is making banks to have network issues due to migerations?

I'm curious to ask, what's the essence if these s called upgrades all these while? No visible improvements. Just same old shitty service.
As for the unions, are the saying they're all using the same banks that are having these issues or they're just looking for ways to exploit of the public?

I think you should ask the banks why they are laying off staffs and dong several reforms. Dont forget to ask mtn why they have recorded so much lose this year. Or ask disco why th light bill is so high or ask the filling stations why fuel is over 1k.
Maybe you should ask your landlord why house rent is high now or the bolt driver why ride is more expensive. I am sure by the time you have gone round you will get the right answer.

Ths where the problem started from
Given the ongoing devaluation of the naira, many Nigerian banks are now compelled to switch to cheaper core banking applications that are capable of rendering the same service formerly rendered by expensive applications.
Security issues such as constant cyberattacks and hacking of s by fraudsters have also made the banks to deem migrating to more secure and fraud-resistant applications necessary. The migration trend is largely about safeguarding bank s against threats of hacking and money swiping by cybercriminals.

What do you mean by moribund?
And is it only one port that is working in Nigeria?

Why should a country large as this rely on one moribund port?

Nnpc staff are still big-time-ballers. If you are an employee there, you will still live an average life that is better than the poor man in Nigeria!

Oh, ok

But not as you think.
More banks are tending towards indigenous software engineers for all applications development and , as software engineers in nigeria are good...we are not there yet but we have improved.

Nigerian software engineers have come a long way...not there yet but they have definitely improved.
most of them even work for remote foreign companies
