agabusta: You really think these guys argue to make sense? He too knows he's not making sense but he needs to spew his nonsense to meet his daily "Buhari is bad" Nairaland comment quota 4 Likes 1 Share |

gbagagbogo: Please where do you live in Lagos?? I buy petrol almost everyday and I've had to buy anywhere from Lekki to Festac and I've bought N87 every time maybe with the exception of once that the guy that bought for me said it was N100. Again if at this point, you don't know where to get in Lagos, it means you're really not looking for |

If your argument sounds stupid there's no need to spew it just because you want to criticize this government. People criticized GEJ and when I say people, I mean everyone, when they removed subsidy because of how high the price at the pump went. Everyone at that time were looking at their pockets not political party. A lot of young PDP guys were part of that protest. Now the minister is talking about removing subsidy and reducing pump price or let's say pretty much staying the same, if this happens the way he's saying it then I doff my hat seriously to these guys. This sounds like magic. It means we'll be able to save hundreds of billions while it doesn't affect pump prices, I as a Nigerian, not as a member of any stupid political party celebrate. If this works out the Buhari government has ridded this country of one the biggest problems facing it. This was one of the biggest sources of corruption. I'm skeptical about this because it sounds too good to be true. However, I won't start really celebrating until we're sure we won't be having availability issues. My best case scenario for subsidy removal was petrol will start selling for N100 but with this, let's watch and see 2 Likes |

Amberon: Dude!! A third? A third?? Anyway I'm not even sure why people attribute the price of gas in the US to the government. Gas prices are fixed to reflect crude oil prices, oil prices go up, price at pump goes up and vice versa. There's no fixed price. You can buy gas at a station for $2 and another one less than half a mile away can be selling it for $1.95, what am I even saying less than half a mile, across the street sef, even right next to it. The market dictates price at the pump |

Hiploko: My guy I don't know where you live but I haven't bought fuel at N87/ltr. As a matter of fact it was in May I bought petrol for N300/ltr after I traveled God knows how many miles to find it. No one is happy about the current situation.. no one!! But Buhari didn't cause it. This is happening from years of not planning for the future. This from years of giving power to people that can hold us to ransom anytime they so wish. To get their claws off us will take time, let's not pretend like all Nigeria's problems will vanish in 7 months. All this happening from years of rot coming out to the surface. You can choose to lie to yourself to please your political masters or face the truth so that we can work together to get rid of these guys that don't want any good for the country |

@OP most of them know this, they're not just being truthful. Yes it's true, some of them are dumb as rocks, folks that are led like sheep whatever direction their benefactor leads but for the most part they know. In 2012, Gallup took a poll to ask who was more to blame for the bad economy, Obama or Bush, guessed who more people picked.. Bush. Now this is 2012, three whole years after Bush left and more people still blame him for the bad economy. Reason Americans voted this way is because they're knowledgeable and because they love their country more than any damn politician. They know how poisonous some of the economic policies were during the Bush istration and they're truthful to themselves to it damages done won't just disappear in a hurry. Now with all these, this doesn't even including massive theft of public funds. This was just bad policies and they still blamed him for years. Imagine if massive looting was added to those bad policies as was the case in Nigeria, Bush would be blamed for decades. Buhari is just seven months in and he's being blamed for sixteen years of rot, sixteen years of bad policies and looting, escalated in the past 5 years. If this man it's able to turn things around a little bit in a year, he should be given several awards. The focus on infrastructural development us very smart, that way people see things are being done. The background rot will take a while to clean up. Here's the link for people that want to doubt my Gallup story http://www.gallup.com/poll/155177/americans-blame-bush-obama-bad-economy.aspx P.S. for those who know, Gallup has been the most credible, most referred to poll in America for ages. |

Again with the lies and deceit and incomplete stories. Anyone interested can go and check the guy's subsequent tweets. No matter how much people criticize Buhari and his government, PDP/Jonathan coming back is never an option
