I will advise you to put all your effort to getting to know Ibadan bro. That's the best option honestly. Bus isn't common here in Abeokuta, you'll hardly find buses in even Abeokuta CBDs like Oke Ilewo, Panseke, Isale igbeyin and all not to talk of other scanty less settled areas. Most of the buses i do come across here operates inside Mapoly, or Mapoly - Panseke kinda. Even in popular markets like Kuto, Olomoore and all, buses are not common sights.

For Ibadan, people are now getting use to cabs but all the same bus still operates and there are lesser disturbance from union guys. And also transportation is quite cheaper than where you are presently, mostly 50-100 a drop. If u get to IB u can try iwo road - sango(poly) garage, iwo road - challenge or stay around the market areas like Ogunpa, Agbeni, Academy and likes. These routes are busy ones with little to no agbero or union disturbing u especially dat iwo road - sango, iwo road - challenge route. You can just visit IB someday and go to these garages and see how they run. Most of Ibadan garages(park) are well organized and agbero activities so limited(Please note that i'm refrencing late Ajimobi period, neva bn dere for a while now).
