IGBOSON1: You just show the world the stuff you are made up of by throwing insults. I would have generalised but I have some good Igbo friends. The most tribalistic tribe in Nigeria is Igbo. You think we don't know this because we were shouting Obi up and down.? A region were non indigenes can't even buy land. Also, it was Buhari that told Cownu to instruct you people to be killing yourselves and if this is true then you are the dumbest tribe in Nigeria. 1 Like |

I will not regret the fact that I belong and used my hard-earned money, resources and time to clamour for a change of government. I painstakingly took out my time to make sure that I transferred my polling unit to the current state where I am residing and won many votes for the just concluded election for the Labour party. Some persons felt I was of Igbo heritage and nickname me Obi pikin. Today I woke up to read some of the most bizarre comments on Nairaland about the recent killings in Benue with most naira landers Calling for more of it on the good people of Benue simpling because APC had a narrow win in Benue. These comments made me regret why I had so much devoted my energy and resources to sharing the same political Ideology with a group of people who are very inhumane and who do not understand the game of politics. To start with, people have been contesting elections in Nigeria over the decades without winning yet nobody has ever displaced such a level of childishness the Igbos are displaying. I am afraid to state here that with this I will never in my life any presidential candidate from the South East. For posterity, Obi if not for some subtle reasons is not somebody who should have been mentioned as a presidential candidate. He is not the Messiah and nobody is either the Messiah we are waiting for in this country. I am a man of values and I value lives above politics. These same guys that are calling for more killing of the Benue people didn't care to know if those who were killed even voted for Labour Party because it was goats that voted for Obi to have come second in the state. I am sorry to state that elections are not won by emotions or by insulting others. Elections are won by alliances, deliberately strategising and canvassing for votes from the people not by insults. Note: only Benue votes can't send Obi to the villa. 18 Likes 4 Shares |

Felabrity: Fact. The love they have for the governorship candidate is blindfolding them. Most are saying that APC they will give the governor a president that he will be walking with. I don't have any ill feelings about them deciding to vite the governorship candidate but see that Tinubu? |

FreeStuffsNG: I am not lamenting. We all know that Obi is the most prepared among the candidates. It's rather unfortunate that Africans loves electing bad leaders and then sits back to cry and blame the West for our underdevelopment. Will you be proud when Tinubu stands among presidents of nation? Somebody that is suffering from dementia and has no capacity to deliver. 5 Likes |

I am writing this with grief in my heart but necessity demands that I pen this down. Benue, as we all know, is purely a Christian state and one would not doubt that considering the damage the APC-led government has brought to the state she will fully be Obidient base on every indices whether religion, neglect or lives lost of lives. However, I am telling you reliably that the state is fully Batified. And here are the reasons for this: 1. The Rev Fr. Alia factor: Most of the people that vote in an election in Nigeria are the village dwellers and those who are ignorant of the major happenings sequel to the election. They depend solely on what is fed to them. No doubt that the Rev Fr. is the choice of the Benue people and the majority of the people will be voting across the party line hence favouring APC. 2. Ortom's bad leadership: let's forget about the media gimmicks Ortom is fond of. He is the worst thing that has happened to Benue. He can't boast of any tangible project that he has executed in the past 8years. Most Benue people don't take him serious and his endorsement of any candidates matters not to them. As it stands he is even praying for God's intervention to go to the Senate. 3. The seriousness of the labour party in the state. As of now, I don't even know the labour governorship candidate in the state. There is no much awareness and campaign except for some good-spirited Obidient youths who have taken it upon their shoulders. I weep because I am fully obidient but the reality on the ground is not what I anticipated. However, I just wish things could be turned around because another 8years of APC's rule is just another thorn in the flesh of every Nigerian. As I am typing this now a friend just called me that the Fulanis have invaded his village and killed his father, elder brother and cousin and the rest of the family are nowhere to be found. I wish I had a magic wand I would just take Obi straight to Aso Rock. 2 Likes |

piyoo91: I can relate well to this. This is why I tell any southern Christian and most especially the Muslims from the Southwest to pity the northern Christians by rejecting the same faith ticket. As a student in Katsina states years ago I witness all that you have captured in your comment. Islam is never and will never be a religion of peace. Peace is only used to cajole unsuspecting people to believe them and probably when they are yet to take over a place. When they achieve that the next thing is the sword that rules against those that don't share the same faith as them 1 Like |

[quote author=Softmirror post=120708898] ![]() I LOVE THE DAY BUHARI MET REVEREND KUKAH AND JOKINGLY ASKED HIM IF HE HAS BECOME ISLAMIZED AND HAVE LEFT THE FOLDS OF CHRISTIANITY. KUKAH WAS SO ASHAMED TO ANSWER.[/quote He has paved the way for Islamization. When the likes of Kukah and others were crying about Islamization they didn't spell out that it must be immediately. From Buhari's body language and his appointment in the cabinet, it shows clearly that that was his intent. Today has approved a Muslim-Muslim ticket which has never occurred since the return of democracy. For your information, there are now some institutions in this country that if you are not bearing a Muslim name you can never ever get an appointment. Islamization occurs in phases and Buhari has kick-started the first phase. He recently retired all the senior officers across the forces who are Christians and promoted those who are Muslim from the core north. See guy only God can prevent the intent of these guys from materializing. |

jeromestarks: I think you are a fool for spitting out the trash you know nothing of. Never in the history of any of the cultures in Benue that their wives were offered to visitors. I presumed you must be educated and I expect your sense of reasoning to be far above what you have showcased here. Regarding sex as pertaining Benue girls if I have known where you are from I would have probably known where to place you since I wouldn't want to make a guess. |

I packed into my current accommodation five months ago. The house is kind of face me I face neighbourhood. A few days after, I discovered that the room adjacent to mine was housing a pastor and his wife. It never took time before I started relating with them because they were very friendly and sometimes the wife would pressure me with their food. After about three months of my staying in the house, I discovered that I have developed an unusual liking for the pastor's wife. I have tried a couple of times to stay away from her but I am beginning to notice that the feeling is mutual because I have been receiving a lot of green signals from her recently. She caresses my shoulders at any slight chance. The problem is I have vowed not to have anything with a married woman yet my emotions are killing me daily. Please I need your advice on what to do. |

I was going to work earlier today and met these two men. The truth is I have been seeing this in some comedy videos but never occurred to me that some two grown-ups can exhibit such. We all know the nature of our roads in the country and most especially during rainy seasons, the situation gets worst. These two men met at a ditch on the road and I expected them to have demonstrated some sense of maturity but the reverse was the case. Each of them was waiting for the other to give way. They ended up wasting almost 30 to 40 min of their time shouting at each other to give way. 2 Likes |

Recently, I noticed the cold attitude of one of my high fliers towards school. It became so palpable that it made me very uncomfortable. She started with late coming and I called her and cautioned her and even though I have tried as much as possible not to be beating them, I used the instrumentality of the cane to threaten her in the quest to make her fall back on the track. From there it graduated to absenteeism. That was when I realized that my sheep has been taken by the wolf and as a shepherd, my eyes became teary. My child I knew hardly misses school, her presence commands an aura and her absence would surely be noticed by the teacher and her mates. At first, I called her to ask what was wrong but she casually told me she was fine. That her aunts often request that she stays behind and assist in the shop or do some chores. when the situation persisted I summoned the courage to visit her home and have a word with the aunt. The response I got from the aunt was not what I expected and it left me with more concerns. This girl in question lost her mom at an early age and probably the father thought his sister might be in a better position to fill in the gap and provide the girl with motherly love and care. I think it was on this note that he handed her over to his sister. Today as usual I was teaching and my once vocal, cerebral and extrovert child was less concerned about what I was teaching. She sat absent-mindedly until one of my colleagues had to call her back to life. After the class, I took her to a corner and pleaded with her to tell me what was wrong. she started crying telling me that she isn't comfortable with where she was staying. That her aunt does insult her dead mum and even caused her that she won't rest in peace. She mentioned that most times she hardly feeds to school and has to stay hungry throughout the schooling hours while she makes sure her children are well fed before sending them to school. I ed her crying all the while placing myself in her shoes. This is a girl whose school uniform was even aewn by one of the teachers just so she could continue schooling on the of how she was diligent with her studies. In our little ways as her teachers, we are trying our best not to lose this gem. The fact is she has a lot of potentials and is very promising. The major challenge now is her feeding. At least we can have something to give her every day while we keep working on her aunt. If you are willing to be a part of this story and save this little girl you can assist with the little that you have. 08144366761 |

bibianna: God allows it to happen to them and sometimes to strengthen their faith in him. The apostles of Christ faced the same and Christ also informed all that will follow him that the world will hate them and they will be persecuted and tried. This is why the whole world is against Christianity and Christians. |
