I actually think there have been certain secular figures that remind one more of the biblical prophets of old more than most of the church leaders we have today.

One of them, Fela, despite being late continue to make me wonder what might have been had he come to Christ before his demise, because of the way he fearlessly confronted some of the most brutal miliatry dictators of our time, Sani Abacha, and that without any arms or weapons but just his voice.

He might have had his own shortcomings however that aspect of his life was reminiscent of the prophets of old, as the Elijahs and John the baptists of old, so what was left was for him to come to knowledge of the truth just as a certain Saul turned apostle Paul, so he would channel that energy and zeal into the things of God and the work of His kingdom instead.

Hence why I would continue to imagine what might have been had he come to the knowledge of Christ, especially because of how badly the present day church needs such men.

Hence I sincerely wish I was there to pray for him but sadly I wasn't and there's nothing I could do about that, however I'm here now, so I'm going to do whatever I could to intercede on the behalfs of all the Felas of this generation that God draws their heart to Him.

Why I Started Praying And Would Conitinue To Pray For VDM

Been hearing some good things about VDM previously, however it wasn't until he began to expose the false prophet, Jeremiah Fufeyin, for the fake healing and miracle products he was selling to people, that I really began to take serious notice, because I could see the obvious importance of what he was doing even from a spiritual standpoint, as it also pertains to exposing false prophets who were exploiting and scamming the people in the name of God. Hence I felt the need to begin praying for VDM from that point because that's our job as righteous men and prophets of God - to stand in the gap.

I can asking God the first time about the true intentions of VDM and the seemed favourable to him, so haven't stopped since praying for him ever since. Already prayed for him this morning.

I also pray God that provides more men as VDM, who stand up for the poor, oppressed, helpless, voiceless, even those who don't have anyone to help and them because this nation and even the world at large is in dire need of more of such rare breeds.

How Prosperity Preachers Were Turning The "House Of God" Into A Den Of Thieves

The people Jesus accused of turning the house of God into a den of thieves were the prosperity preachers of His day called the Pharisees, who were said to be covetous men and lovers of money to the extent they would do or say anything because of money, even if it went contrary to the Word of God and made it of none effect. Matthew 15:3-6; 23:16-19.

Moreover they were also guilty of omitting the more important matters of the laws in their teachings because of monetary matters such as tithing which were of lesser importance. Matthew 23:23

Hence Jesus warned His disciples to beware of the doctrine of the Pharisees. Matthew 16:6, 12.

He also warned them against covetousness and the deceitfulness of earthly riches in His doctrine, because the life of a man doesn't consist in the possession of such earthly things but how rich a man is towards God. Luke 12:15-21, Matthew 13:22

That was mentality Jesus inculcated into His disciples before His departure, that would make Peter the first leader of Christ church, to be priding in his financial and material poverty knowing that his true value or quality wasn't tied to such earthly and material things but the things of God.

The same doctrine of the covetous Pharisees, aka "prosperity" gospel, Christ warned His disciples to be wary of is what many of them have embraced ionately and preach as their main doctrine today.

They're now omitting the more important teachings of Jesus because of monetary matters such as tithing.

They're now teaching men that their lives consist of the abundance of possession they have even though it is contrary to the teachings of Christ.

They're now teaching men that poverty a sin, a disease, a curse, which Christ or His apostles the leaders of the early church never did.

Instead of helping the poor and needy as Christ and His apostles were doing, they're now mocking and shaming them, making them to feel worthless and of no value or use regardless how rich they were in the sight of God and things of the spirit as Simon Peter.

They are now preaching all manner of heresies and antichrist ideas even to the ridiculous length of claiming Jesus hates the poor and never visited them.

Hence they've made the Word of God to become of none effect in the lives of men, leading to a rise of iniquity and lawlessness in the church, as nobody wants to remain poor and a "curse" anymore, hence would do anything and go to any length to become rich, including stealing, kidnapping killing and even using their fellow humans for rituals.

So the "prosperity" preachers weren't just turning "house of God" into a den of thieves, but also kidnappers, ritual killers yahoo-yahoo boys etc.

I will like a few more to that list, as the lack of comion in the present day church leaders for the weak, poor and needy, because most of the miracles Jesus did if not all were borne out of comion. We've not fully recovered from the recent blasphemous heresy by one of them who claimed Jesus hated the poor and never visited them, so is it such heartless and poor-hating leaders we expect to be endued with the same measure of power upon the most comionate Jesus and His apostles who exemplified Him in that respect?

There is also the aspect of total self-denial and selflessness exemplified by Jesus and His apostles which is also significantly lacking in today's church and among her leaders.

Usually the opinion of men (who judge based the outward appearance) would favour the rich who gave out of their abundance, however this was not men but Jesus (who didn't judge on the outward appearance as men do but as God who judges on the heart), hence was able give an opinion on Earth just as it was in the sight of God in heaven even though it was opposed to that of men.
