I quite agree with you that 95% of church and pastor in Nigeria have compromised and are after wealth and many other things. But the truth still remain that christian ought to pay tithe. Most pastors capitalize on this to make themselves rich doesn't mean true believers shouldn't pay tithe anymore in the real christian church they attend. The pastor of my church don't own a private jet and won't.

There is about only 5% of christians and church in Nigeria that is true. And is mandated of them to pay tithe, irrespective of how their counterpart that have compromised are trying to mock GOD. Let the inhabitats of the earth rejoice and be glad because the LORD liveth and reigneth. Even before the foundations of the world, GOD is never mocked and never will

GOD bless you ma

Thanks for your comment, you've said almost all I would have said....however, my opinion may differ a bit from yours that tithe is mandatory in this regard; 1.Tithing came up in old testament and everything in old testament was made compulsory because it was the era of LAW. But it is not so in new testament because it is an era or dispensation of grace.
2. No matter how much tithe one pays, he/she is not guaranteed of making heaven on that basis alone....the summary of this new testament- and for anyone to make heaven- is Faith, Hope and Love
Thus, tithe can only be said to be important for christians because it is a means of blessing. Whatever God says, He says. He has promised to bless all tithe payers hence, paying tithe will lead to blessing. It should be noted that 'it is given to man to choose between life and death' same with blessing. It is not by force except for those who really want it. So, i don't think Tithe is COMPULSORY!

In a country where an average voter will have to consider the ethnical and religous background of an aspirant before voting even if at all the candidate has something good to offer...... Truly there is no country here

I actually don't know how the whole thing started but from what I could gather, what was Wenger trying to do for the wrong judgment of the referee by going to Mourinho's dug out to the extent of pushing him(Mourinho) on the chest? If Mourinho did that, all papers' back pages will have been filled with headlines like 'Mou's indecent behavior'..... Whatever He has told Wenger, Wenger called for it

Wenger asked for it. Mou was either playing mind games or playing down his chances of winning the league when Wenger said Mou is afraid of failure. I think it shouldn't be any of his concern. Hence, whatever Mou responded with shouldn't be an issue

AOB1963:
Let us cast our minds back, Keshi tends to start slowly. At the last AFCON he started with 2 draws and by the 3rd match, the Vultures were already circling him to tear him up, yet he won that cup.
At the last CHAN, he started with a defeat, and ended up with a Bronze medal.
At the World cup, we struggled against Iran and still ended up in the last 16 ahead of the likes of Ivory Coast, England and Spain.
Keshi has unearthed more new talents than any coach before him. We are singing the praises of Onazi, Musa, Omeruo, Babatunde, Oboabona and Oshaniwa today because Keshi preferred them to the known 'stars'
He will not only qualify us for AFCON, Keshi will defend the title. Let us not get carried away with the dooms day prophets like Ikpeba and their fifty-kobo journalists. It is sad that journalists continue to put their interview mics in front of loud-mouths like Ikpeba. He has personal issues with Keshi, so what do we expect him to say that is new. Both him and the Siasia they are clamouring for are dwarfs compared to Keshi and they know it.
i like ur opinion and personally, i respect Keshi a lot but, just like Jose Mourinho would say, the interest of the team is above that of either coach or players. We need to considers these points;
1. When u are in such a situation like this- that we need to work hard to qualify for next Afcon- it is not the time to test new talents. U need the guys you know well and are used to the coach's system. The training for qualifiers is usually betwn 2-3 days unlike the main competitions u mention where the players had been training together from camp before the tourney. Time is too short to gamble. New players can be tested in friendlies, that's one of the reasons of playing friendly.
2. It is very obvious Keshi is not the best in managing his players. Check his records in Togo, Mali and now in the SE. He always have issues with one or two players or more. Also, the act of always blaming players for loss of matches is not a good xtristic of a good coach. When the match is lost, 'they didn't play to instruction' then why is he the coach? What is he saying on the sidelines when they aren't playing to instructions? Though, I'm not talking based on Ikpeba's 'rant'. He is nothing compared to keshi, but I think Keshi has given his best, it's time for him to move on. He'll remain a legend in Nigeria football.

Using terroism to score cheap political usesless points

Your comment really changed what I would have written here because you are really on point. However, The OP's article has lots of points to think about. I think what is clear to us Nigerians in all these is just like the tip of the ice berg, while the main issues are kept deep within the ocean.....
My opinion is that we make our situations worse ourselves. The reason is that Nigerians can smile or laugh over everything. At times reading a news about my country from here would make me think there may be a revolution soon as it would have been in other parts of the world but most times, nothing will be heard again. Issues that demand questioning, we will even make youtube videos, comics and all sorts of things out of them. That is why the fools up there believe they can go away with anything they do. It is only in my country that $20bn would miraculously disappear and after 1-2 weeks of talking abt it, everyone would forget abt it or at most laugh over it. Hence, why won't 234 girls be missing? I read recently that NYSC asked the next batch Corp to pay 4,000 naira to print a form...I won't be suprised that some of the concerned people would have done so. The little times i'v spent outside the country, i'v seen that citizens can determine their lives more than government only with seriousness ....by saying NO to what they don't want and YES to what is allowed.

Even 5 days aren't enough to undo the terrible things that had been done, adversely affecting the country, by our so called leaders let alone 5 HOURS! However, i will make sure I get rid of the old fools either by imprisonment, exile or death.......

God have mercy.....I actually read this story somewhere but says the church was rented out for a non-religious event. Hence, this ain't a gospel singer.
All the same, this isn't a good sign

texaco1: This doesn't make any sense. There are countries and many arms dealers that will sell arms to nigeria without the approval of the americans. If this deal was between sa government and the fg,why do they need to pay in cash? A simple bank transfer would have prevented all these problems .why carry cash from nigeria is a private charter flight to sa without any single govt representative to purchase arms for nigeria and without even notifying the sa goovt of your arrival if truly they are waiting and expecting you

...like u heard the thoughts in my mind

Ok. GEJ is seeking votes from the North, so, he allows BH to kill and maim people so that Northerners can vote for him come 2015? Is that how your brain works?

Too perfect brains like urs can never notice such simple things,i know....even when GEJ told us to keep bearing it,allowing us to be killed continually cos they are our siblings that he can't do anything, that his wife even told us that her husband is not a general so he should not be expected to fight wars.but all of a sudden he's now doing what he couldn't do.

I believe this could have heppened a long time ago if not for someone seeking favour from the north,in of 2015 votes.but now that it's obvious such is not realistic, the expected action is being carried out...definitely not out of pity to the innocents but out of anger and dissapoitment.
However,i'm happy for the innocent souls suffering all this while.I pray that God will bring leaders who will priotitise the interest of the citizens over personal.

So unfortunate for the deceased but i hope this will help reduce the high level of fetish activities in Abeokuta which unfortunately makes the city to be so backward(imo) among its peers.....what a shame

While i'm not in of guys not appreciating their girls,i'll say the whole thing is often ironical in the sense that when ladies are so appreciated and shown love by the guys, most of them start 'misbehaving'.Hence, some guys keep the real feeling inside....talking from experience.

Well, wit Ethiopia's loss of vital players in d midfield, esp Adane,i think super eagles will win but, winnin wt little margin which can only earn us second place drawin us with CIV.....even if goes the other way, these guys aren't good enough 2 defeat Tunisia
