sorry to interrupt/interfere your personal life, I think you are better off with the salary you are earning right now than for you to go where there is uncertainty, don’t get me wrong, what I’m saying is that you are doing something now and earning a living and where you are targeting of moving to now is uncertain because you will have to start all over there again.
thanks for your response, but in this life one most take risk to succeed , calculated risk though, I presently live in one of the Middle East country & one can never get permanent residency here not to talk about citizenship, your job is your residency which means any day you lose your job, you will be sent back to 9ja unless you find another job immediately. So I want to move where I can secure my future.
@Pedro, pls I need your suggestion, I’m a graduate & my English ain’t bad, I believe I can make better living over there than where I am presently

Yes, it's okay to go on a visit visa. Research shows that 70% of jobs are awarded to potential employees in NZ. Give it a shot bro since you know someone who can provide you with an accommodation and can put you through on how to get top jobs quickly.
Get your statement of and file your application as soon as possible.
thanks for your input bro, but it seems very risky going with visit visa, I’ve got some mails from where my friend has been submitting my cv & the ones I applied myself, all their response was that I have to be physically in NZ & have rights to work before they will hire me, it’s not easy bro, @OP, pls is there any way I can get work permit before moving over as that will be very easy for me to get a job. Thanks

When I came to NZ on a 9 month partnership visa, while I was waiting to get my work visa. I tried my best possible to get an under table job but couldn’t. The African community in my area tried their best too but nobody listened because it’s illegsl and dangerous for them too.... only an accredited employer can sponsor a potential employee on an essential skill. But before then, they have to prove to INZ that they have d the position severally and couldn’t find a local for the position.
If I wasn’t in Auckland, maybe I would have find a fruit picking job on the farms Even though they will pay u less and sometimes don’t pay u as they believe h can’t report them
Anyway I finally met a local business owner who was ready to sponsor after I worked for 10hrs without pay to prove myself. But luckily for me, my long awaited work permit came two days later. And I never return to him because it was a very hard landscaping job.
So what I’m trying to say is that the duration of ur visit visa also matters because they can only sponsor u while u have a valid visa.
It’s all depends on how much people u can connect with especially locals and willing to tell somebody that knows somebody.
African don’t own a lot of businesses here so it’s not as easy for blacks to connect with a potential employer as it may be for Indians and Asians that had flooded the country and businesses.
But since accomodation is sure from a friend, then u are safe on that side as u will have to cough out at least $180 weekly on rent and bills as a flat mate.
Thanks bro, I do appreciate the detailed explanation. The person helping me to look for job also lives in AUCK, can we connect via email, pls check your pm, thanks

I dont think that is possible sir....because UK is not part of the Schengen territory
yeah, I thought as much, just curious about ekpotek response
Oh, it seems he was just referring to different countries with their methods

ekpotek:
Schengen countries - 90 days maximum per visit
UK - 180 days maximum per visit.
Others - durations is determine at point of entry.
does it mean one can visit schengen countries with UK visa?

A six month UK visa is only valid for 180 days from the date of issuance. The visa allows the holder to present himself/herself at any UK border (land, air, rail or sea) point for entry in the UK. Depending on type of entry, you can enter the UK once or multiple times during the 180 days permitted. You do not need to travel immediately if your travel plan changes as long as you used the visa before it expire. Yes you can arrive at the UK border from anywhere in the world to present you visa for entry. However, some airlines may want you to show them a return ticket out of the UK before you board. Note that unlike the USA visa, you are not allowed to stay beyond the expire date on you visa. So the earlier you utilize the visa the better for you.
There will be a UKVI stamp on the last page of your port if the visa is denied. Obviously that stamp means that your application for visa was not approved at this time.
Thanks bro, you really did justice to my question, I want to also ask if I would be granted entry with onward ticket

Please what is the validity of 6 months visa, from the day of issuance, I mean how long will the visa last before it expires, assuming I didn’t travel immediately
Assuming I’m residing in another country, and I got the visa there, can I use the visa and fly from Nigeria if I’m in the country
Also if one is denied UK visa, do they stamp refusal stamp on the port
