The Yoruba op and always trying to distort the truth... thankGod nobody was killed, that Chukwumerije's son,is a nice guy, youthful and very intelligent,i pray nothing happens to him.

Sadly, another high-profile attempt will be made in the south-east on the life of another prominent Igbo! Even from a lot of the comments on this thread, you can see what their aim is!

You should be ashamed of your reporting.

He would, but for the fact that he's shameless!

Any incidents of insecurity in the south-east, these despicable scum will immediately get a boner as they start looking for how to link IPOB or Mazi Kanu to the report!

I have warned that as another election cycle draws near, Ndigbo should be wary as more incidents of cold blooded murder and kidnappings will start to occur! The aim is to create a climate of fear and intimidation in the south-east which shadowy forces in the deep state hope will negatively affect the participation of the region in the 2027 elections. Also, another goal is to try and discredit Peter Obi!

We're sharing the same country with truly EVIL people who will stop at NOTHING in their bid to protect their ATM and the hegemonic control they have over it!

Do thorough investigation before charging to court, they wont. Fight corruption, then propaganda media trial is the order of the day.

These disgusting vermin have identified Fidelity Bank as one of the avenues they think they can use to get at Peter Obi! the fake news on the bank they put out few weeks ago? To them this is 'politics'!

You're not wise. If his successor cornered some money, he will try to reduxe the amount, no wonder the EFCC is after Obiano.

Obi showed documents, bank statements that proved this. You prefer word of a polical opponent to banks statements?

So, no project to do in the state with that fund again?? That money can take care of 50% of communities in that state for their water bore hole projects.

And who told you projects were not executed during his tenure as governor of his state? This mentality of spending everything and not saving is one of the reasons Nigeria is where it is today! All the billions of dollars that Obasanjo and Okonjo-Iweala saved in the excess crude and which have now all been 'spent on projects', hope you're now happy and can point to projects spread around the country which the monies funded?

Peter Obi has challenged anyone to prove him otherwise, and for over 10 years now, nobody has brought proof, not even his successors. All they do is make political statements. Publish the bank statements of the 3 banks the day Peter Obi left office, why is that so difficult?

Beer parlour gossips. No matter how much Obi clarified, you're stuck on fake news

Even if Peter Obi displays the wisdom of King Soloman and the political savvy of Socrates, these despicable Tinubu minions would still feign being unimpressed!

See people who for ethnic and self-centred reasons are beholden to one questionable character with a dodgy past and who barely knows his left from his right on issues of economics and istration, now having the shameless temerity to question and even mock a person who in his 30s built his family business into a multi-million enterprise and who we can track his antecedents right from secondary school up to his sterling accomplishments as governor of Anambra state! The irony is lost on them because they're so daft and far gone in their bigotry, nepotism and greed!

There are very few politicians thats half as intelligent as Obi

Them preferring the likes of Rochas, Orji Kalu, Uzodinma, Umahi, etc, shouldn't really come as a surprise! Just know that, assuming Nigeria survives these peoples inordinate lust for power and bigotry, and it reaches the point where they're forced to reluctantly accept the next president has to be Igbo....just know that they will deploy their rigging network to rig in the most despicable, self-hating Igbo they can find, and this would be after they have extracted certain guarantees and concessions from the fool! They're comfortable with the aforementioned names for a reason!

Just one forgettable interview in more than two years!? Any wonder the OP couldn’t it!?

Nigerian presidents (especially from 2015 onwards) act like absolute monarchs, and think it’s acceptable not to interact or be able to the citizens! They have little regard for the Nigerian electorate because they don’t need them to ’win’ elections.

Did Nigerian army invaded Igbo land at gun point or the cursed Biafra army were the one who invaded Nigeria territory started in the Midwestern region.

You're not wanted in our midst, simple.

You're a vile revisionist and a shameless liar to boot! You mean you didn't read of the pogrom of Easterners in the north, of which the evil federal military gov't were either unwilling or unable to stop....coupled with the reneging on the Aburi agreement, both of which were the precursor to Easterners eventually declaring secession!?

If you don't want Igbo in your midst, get off your lazy ass and actively work for them to be separated from 'one Nigeria' so you and the Yoruba and Fulani can continue your lovefest in peace! Two-faced cretin! I know you're not from Delta state, but i'll just humour you and play along! wink

Just few days ago Fulani kidnappers killed some youths at Abraka in retaliation after 4 of their fulani bandits colleagues were killed during a police rescue operation. The same day there was a serious ethnic clash in the same Abraka between Fulanis and the indigenes

Here's the video

https://www.facebook.com/61576577033430/videos/1480671012916245/?app=fbl

Yesterday a vigilante in Okpanam was killed by fulani kidnappers when they tried to rescue a girl kidnapped by the herdsmen.

Here's the video for that one
https://www.facebook.com/Drsocial16/videos/1027478609518813/?app=fbl

There's a popular human rights activist called Harrison Gwamnishu, he is from Delta state and even served as an SSA to this dumb governor but resigned due to his failure of addressing the endless waves of killings and kidnappings- all attributed to the same Fulani headsmen according to the victims.

Here's the Facebook of Harrison, all his timelines are of him constantly raising awareness about the killings, kidnappings and other criminal activities of the fulani herdsmen

https://m.facebook.com/harrisonhumanrights/

Note that in all this rising incidents of crimes in Delta state, not ONCE has a criminal from "across the Niger" ever gotten arrested or paraded. Majority if not all of the perpetrators caught have all been fulani bandits.

Now that Sheriff has ed APC, he now finds it convenient to blame Igbos (who are now the easy soft targets for ethnic baiting in Nigeria) in order not to offend his APC Northern Ogas at the top. The same way the dumb governor of Edo state was busy kissing the ass of Northern leaders during the Uromi incident even while his own Edo state has been ravaged by fulani killings and kidnappings lately.

When I say Nigeria has a chronic Igbo problem, I couldn't be more categorical...Igbos go dey their own dey mind their own business but will always get dragged into every nonsense just for political expediency and convenience. But dem born una papa well to suppress the Igbos? that one can never happen! A people who survived a brutal genocidal war and rose above the dust of the war to single-handedly rebuild their lives and homelands from ground zero with years of economic strangulation and neglect are NOT the people to be bullied. We shall all be alive to enjoy this One Nigeria together by fire by force.

Brilliant post!

It can't have gone unnoticed that for one to show 'loyalty' credentials in APC, either as a existing member or a newly defected one, you have to have a go at the Igbo! This more than anything else pleases the Yoruba and Fulani overlords and party apparatchik running affairs in the party! Even the daft, self-hating Igbo have to first throw their people under the bus to show they will be 'loyal serfs' in the coven of witches called APC!

What TF are you on about!? Dude, you're such a loser and in need of help ASAP! Almost ALL your time online....definitely on nairaland, is spent obsessing on and agonising about a people who don't give a fck about you or even care if you drop dead this very minute! Get a life mate! For a people you despise this much, one would have thought you'd have put as much energy and time into trying to ensure they don't share the same country with you! That you CAN'T do this says all that needs to be said about your duplicitous, two-faced and hypocritical nature and shows your pathetic self as a shameless leeching parasite that can't survive without sharing the same country with the people you hate!

You want to tell us you don't know the cause of the uncivil Biafra/Nigeria war, or is this just you trying to revise or rewrite history? What 'forcing' and attaching yourself to others can be more or worse than you pathetic 'one Nigerianists' aligning to spill blood just so you can continue sharing the same country with Ndigbo/Biafrans!?

Dude, why are you furious that Davidos' Mum adviced him to stay close to Igbos'? Why did you immediately take this advice as a 'insult' to your own Yoruba ethnicity? Why always this constant need to dick-measure and reassure yourself that you're 'better' than Ndigbo? You reeling out names of Yoruba billionaires, who're mainly gov't-enabled, saying that it's 'proof' the Yoruba are the 'top dawg' in Nigeria, says more about your insecure state of mind, feelings of inadequacy and a inexplicable disdain for a people who haven't produced head of state or president of Nigeria since 1966!

Is your dumbass aware that the same people you accuse of 'forcing themselves on others' were ganged up against from '67-'70, and forced at gunpoint to remain 'compatriots' with you lot!? Mention exactly how Ndigbo are 'forcing themselves on others'!

This is laughable. They said they don't want to be part of one Nigeria, why then are they declaring code 555 grin

Do shut up! If there's anything laughable it's seeing a Igbo self-hating and greedy enough to be in APC, or one who still believes a vengeful and Igbo-hating Tinubu or Buhari have the capacity to be fair-minded and jettison their bigotry and desire to cheat Ndigbo! If you weren't so far gone in your hate you'd have realised you're actually endorsing the position of IPOB and those of us who don't believe in 'one Nigeria' and that Ndigbo shouldn't be sharing the same country with the Yoruba and their Fulani hegemonic co-travellers!

It reeks of crass idiocy and hypocrisy that you shout 'one Nigeria' yet the jaundiced notion that ethnicities, groups or regions should be shortchanged and sidelined because they didn't fall in line to kiss your emilokan bosses ass!

This is how it ought to be — but let’s be clear: 2027 is not the real battlefront. The true question is who Soludo, Otti, and Mbah will hand the torch to. That should now dominate the strategic shopping list of every forward-thinking Igbo. The time for waiting on party politics is over. This is no longer democracy by accident — it’s headhunting season. We must scan the horizon for brilliance, groom competence, and curate leadership. This is talent scouting for statesmanship — not for popularity, but for posterity.

A commendable effort by the Enugu state gov’t to improve and sustain its tourism and conference hosting credentials, and 90% of the comments on this thread are posting all negativity and bullshit. The undertones of ethno-religious bile and heckling are unmistakable and barely masked. Out of all the negative posts on this thread, i picked yours to quickly look at your post history, and just as i expected, it turns out you’re a APC/Tinubu minion! Given the way your godfather has mismanaged all facets of national life, one wonders why you don’t put as much energy into criticising his poor and visionless governance of Nigeria instead of obsessing on what Mbah or Otti are doing!

Talk that thing wey dey your mind make we see! When the useless Ugwuanyi gov’t spent 8 years doing next to nothing in Enugu state, none of you bothered back then to show this same level of ‘concern, love and ’ for Ndi-Enugu! It’s now a performing governor is in the saddle and actually impacting all sectors of governance in the state, all of a sudden you have something to bicker about!

Some of you say he should have built industries instead, and i wonder at your level of understanding of what governance entails! Abi you’ve not heard of the saying that government has no business doing business!? When this hotel is built, it would be placed under the management of a reputable world renowned hotel management coy, and the gov’t wouldn’t be involved in its running! Same thing will happen with Enugu Air! The state gov’t is forced to provide these initial assets because they’re starting from ground zero as it were, and they need to set the ball rolling! If Enugu state gov’t doesn’t do it, is it Abuja that will come and do it for them?

Aba and Onitsha....a tale of two cities, and the contrasting approach to their governance and development by their respective state gov'ts!

Both Onitsha and Aba are the pride and face of their respective states....the geese that lays their golden eggs! But whereas Otti recognises this fact and has thrown all he has into trying to change the story and negative perception of Aba, Soludo on the other hand has largely ignored Onitsha and instead channeled most of his time and effort into developing Ekwulobia! Make this make sense!

Interesting interview at a news stand with a Kogi indigene who speaks on the mistreatment of the Igbo in Nigeria, how the middlebelt are facing existential threats from sahelian invaders, and the economic and political contributions the Igbo continue to make in Nigera! He spoke on Mazi Kanu and appreciated the necessity of ESN being set up to challenge the invading vermin! It was mentioned in the clip how Benue indigenes are heading towards Enugu for safety and how a Benue indigene spoke of how his family relocated to Enugu and are now safe.

I'm happy Benue indigenes are being welcomed in Enugu and are safe....even if it's just for the sake of the children. Let me just reiterate that the useless Nigerian state CANNOT protect you and your family, and if you're depending on them to do so, your entire family will be wiped out!

That is untrue
The Ikwerre sent a delegation to the Willinks Commission in 1957 during the period of independence negotiations. They had already started expresing a clear distinct identity and fear of domination long before 1966

The Ikwerre formed Ogbakor Ikwerre around 1963 long before 1966
and definitely before Ohanaeze was formed

Your claim is dismissed as untrue and misleading

The Prefix of Rumu existed before independence but was obliterated by the alleged Igbo domination

Now is it the Igbo position that Ik
werre people just concocted RUMU from nowhere or that that has handed to them by Fulanis? How plausible is that? And TODAY NOT ONE Ikwerre person has ever come out to say NO THIS RUMU THING HAS NO BASIS?

Not one Ikwerre person even among those claiming to be Igbo has EVER challenged or written against this RUMUIZATION. NOT ONE
You need to slow down and engage your brains a little

Is that really believable. That an entire group of people would change the names of most of their towns for a lie and NOT ONE person speaks up against it

Why bother responding if you have nothing but conjectural claptrap, revisionism and lies to post!? Is it just because you're obsessed with trying to give the false impression to naive and easily led observers (esp' ndi south-south...awa oyel dem) that Alaigbo is 'just your 5 landlocked states'!? Why are you so invested in trying to limit the territory of Ndigbo?

Dude, it's not news that a lot of sub-Igbo groups and other ethnicities in the Niger Delta pre '66 were carping on about 'domination' and surprisingly they're still on it till today even after aligning with outsiders (the hegemonic alliance) to sabotage the secession effort! Their shortsighted efforts was all aimed at trying to impress the ruling hegemony so they could be made the 'dominant' ethnicity/group over the Igbo in the region! Today, and with the benefit of hindsight, their children and grandchildren can see how hasty and shortsighted their decision was to ally with the enemy! Their lands have been polluted, their coasts eroded by the unforgiving Atlantic, and their oyel and gas resources plundered by those who claimed they were coming to 'save them from the 'dominating Igbos'! As their coastal towns are being eroded and falling one by one into the sea, their 'liberators' are using their God-given resources to get on the Forbes richest list and 'conquer' the Atlantic as they sand fill and recover previously eroded parts of their city and build a billion dollar coastal highway to service and improve their regions economy! Meanwhile the naive groups of the Niger Delta still think Igbo, that last produced head of state in 1966, is their problem, and the Igbo amongst them think that by denying their Igboness they can ingratiate themselves with the hegemonic alliance and show they're 'loyal serfs'!

You know there's no major ethnicity or grouping in Nigeria that doesn't have at least one sub group within it accusing the other of 'marginalisation', 'domination', and in some extreme cases, attempts at 'annihilation'!? Even within the old Anambra state, there were accusations by one sub Igbo group against another, ditto in Yorubaland/south-west and the Hausa-Fulani/north! So you have no case mate! More so when we realise that the said Willinks Commission you referred to absolved the Igbo of the 'domination' accusation labelled against them at the time!

This talk of 'Igbo domination' is laughable because for one, the Igbo never had a empire unlike what we saw with the Oyo empire in Yorubaland and Fulani caliphate in the north. So talk of 'Igbo domination' is a moot subject! Also, you just need to take a look at the economic status of ethnicities or groups in Rivers that accused Ndigbo of 'dominating' them.....more than 65 years after they were 'liberated' from 'Igbo domination and oppression', can they say they are better off than the Igbo today? Whether by individual achievements or the development of villages, towns or cities, can they say their individual or group efforts have shown them to have achieved more than Ndigbo? If the answer is in the negative, then this is just another pointer to the fact that the accusation of 'domination' was false! Sure they're being dominated today, but it's not by Ndigbo!

I asked for pictoral or video evidence that the Ikwerre villages used the rumu prefix, BEFORE the Biafra war! I didn't ask for conjectural rubbish, outright lies and tangential claptrap, so spare me the bullshit! Also, provide proof that the Ikwerre categorically denied being Igbo before the Biafra war, not accusations of imagined domination which i told you can be seen in ALL ethnicities and groups in Nigeria even till today!

There's this thread on nairaland that i'm searching for in which there was a name tag of a Ikwerre village before the war...i think done by SHELL. They used umu as a prefix, but lo and behold, as i speak with you today, the prefix has been changed to Rumu! shocked I'll see if i can find it!

The one of Ikwerre forming Ogbakor Ikwerre before '66 is neither here nor there! I can equally mention sub Igbo or sub Yoruba groups that had cultural associations before '66, so i don't get the point you're trying to make! More so as we have all agreed that at the time, the Ikwerre were accusing the larger Igbo ethnic group of marginalising and dominating them in Port Harcourt affairs. So Ogbakor Ikwerre could have arisen as a way for them to speak with one voice and better articulate their position as a group! Fair play to them, but i just want them to know that Igbo is not their problem!
