I've been unable to retrieve my ds-160 and i already used the code to schedule my visa appointment. if i fill out a new ds-160 the code on the two documents will be different. what do i do?

DS-160 is valid only for 30 days. You can fill a new one and and then to your CGI portal and update the DS-160 form number there.

2. Yes, but you need to pick universities carefully.
3. Yes I strong suggest you to take GRE because your GPA is low so if you score well in GRE then it will make your application stronger.
4. First take GRE. Then there are different facebook and other groups where people talk about their its and funding etc., find out which universities usually give funding, you can select those universities. Also you can do google search, there are many websites with this information.

I have scheduled visa interview for a university A. But I decided to go to interview for university B. When I booked appointment on CGI portal, there was field to enter university name and zip code (see screenshot). Now I want to change name of university on CGI portal, but there is no option to change university name in Update profile tab.

Please someone tell how can I change university name in CGI portal without cancelling visa appointment.

On EA, I requested on Friday 17th June and got a reply today 19th June. And here is their reply:

You have received the following message regarding your Emergency/Group scheduling request:

Given the high volume of demand and limited resources we are unable to schedule an emergency student/exchange visitor visa appointment at this time.  Please continue to check for student/exchange visitor visa appointment availability as we add appointments when our staffing increases.

Well i plan to send them an email with my school in copy.

First I had a book a regular date in order to request EA. After I made EA, I did not hear anything from embassy for almost a month. I tried to embassy a few times and they kept on saying that they cannot tell how long it will take and suggested that I can keep checking for available dates. However whenever I tried to check dates, I was getting following message (see screenshot). Then I ed the help line and they asked to cancel the appointment and make new, so I did that and then I was able to see calendar and available dates.

I was facing the same problem. I had applied for emergency appointment and after that I was unable to check regular dates calendar, whenever I clicked on "Reschedule", I was getting message that there are no dates available. Then I called the helpline and they said to cancel it first and then select again, so I did that and it worked for me. However do it on your own risk.

Can you open bank in USA before moving there? What is the process? Please someone help.

Please help I got august 15th as date but I want to pay another mrv fee so I can apply for emergency being that I was denied emergency before and I can apply with the same mrv fee
If I pay the fee will my 15th august still be there until I reschedule or it will immediately cancel

You cannot pay new mrv fee before you cancel your current appointment. You can check this by logging to your cgi portal, the mrv fee option wont be there now.

Thank you for the response. But the second time I wasn't given a chance for an interview and I've made some changes in my application.

The VO didn't even ask for my POF but asked who's sponsoring and I answered self and she asked what happens after the Masters

I answered that I would want to set up an NGO which she said so I want to use all my money after my Masters for the NGO...

A friend is suggesting I try CA for fall 2022 and not reapply to the US but I ve spent much already applying to the US

What is the total amount mentioned on your I-20? I dont know what university are you applying but if it is a very low rank, it could be another factor. Maybe your friend is right, take a step back. Relax and look for better universities for Spring/Fall 2023 and apply to the universities where you can get some funding. It would make your case much strong.

Good evening all, I'm truly glad to be here. I just got a second refusal on my US F1 visa application for Masters program
School to resume August 25th 2022

The first reason was that I didn't convince the VO that I had enough funds to set up an NGO after my Masters program,thus she wasn't convinced I'll return (May 31st ,2022)

The second one, there was no interview reason was that my appointment application was not properly selected ( I should have selected previously refused instead of Regular) June 17th , 2022

It wouldn't make sense to go to another interview without making any changes in your application. If the refusal reason was not having enough finance then make sure that you have arranged some more funds before going.

no, it wont have any implications even if you pay 10 times.

I have a hypothetical question.

If your visa is approved for university A. Then you decide to attend university B, so you apply for a new visa and go to new interview and it gets rejected (for funding or whatever reason), in that case will your previous visa become invalid? or can you still go to university A?

A few days before departure, he got an email from the embassy to come on reaching Abuja his visa was cancelled based on tax. That his brother's company don't pay tax. Should he apply again using another statement?

He got his visa cancelled because his brother didn't pay tax? That's weird, its not his fault. Are you sure its the reason?

Yes. You'd fill another DS-160 using the details of the new school, update your cgi profile with the new DS-160 number and submit.

Yes u will get ur full two slots to schedule and one EA , once u Pay another visa fee but u must first cancel the second appointment
