Hoo boy.

Libya does have a serious smuggling problem.

It's so bad, they have to use jet fighter to bomb them

They should do that here also, but they can't because they are benefiting from it.

You know what's funny? LIBYA sells fuel for that ridiculous price and I have never read anywhere that they are complaining about smuggling, all past and present Nigerian government has failed, but the "Failest " of them is the Tinubu government, he's an brutal person, you have removed all the subsidy, increase all the increasable, all for what? Buying new jet and Ships for himself, what have we the citizen gotten after more than one year of his istration? Nothing! Absolutely nothing!

I think the world needs to re-evaluate how individual wealth is measured.

A man has a business idea, pitches it to venture capitalists and raises $200k in equity capital of 20%.

He sells 70% of his business in shares and raises another $700k.

The business is worth $1 million with founder owning 10% of the business or $100k.

He's called the world's richest man whereas he has only $100k out of the $1 million business value.

Tesla Inc is valued over 700 billion ATM, Elon Musk's value is the combination of his portfolio both in Tesla and other of his numerous companies..

In this life you can either become a 100 percent owner of a very small business or a 10 percent owner of a very big business, your ideas alone won't build a company as big as Tesla, during the early days you need good directors, they are rich already and they have wealth of experience, you need to give them option of stock, you need good lawyers, you need to give them stock, you need funds, lots and lots of it, investors won't hand their millions of dollars to you unless you are selling a part of the business to them, all these collective effort is what differentiate a Tesla from a one man small business..

Furthermore, diversification is one of the law that the rich don't joke with, if you have 100 percent of a business and the business the business get burnt then you're definitely in problem, it is also a form of sharing the risk to a larger pool of people.

You're just being ridiculous and stupid, financial can come from any angle especially someone that loves you, 5 years ago something similar happened to me, I dumped the bitch because I knew she was gonna say she's always been there for me when I eventually get okay, that was actually the best decision I ever made because I can't imagine spending my money now on someone who couldn't even bail me out when I needed her the most even when she had more than enough.

Every producers are enjoying and those earning in foreign currency

For example crop farmers have never had it so good as they have it now

I pity you if you continue following the criminals using your like and share on social media to generate income for themselves while you are drying.

The so called influencers are making it big on top of our youth foolishness. Instead of using your time on productivity you're following them about. How is ing them to abuse tinibu or Apc able to put food on your table for the past one year?
.
You're just being mischievous, even if you're making enough in this useless economy you're just making money to spend them, you fill your car with maybe 100k fuel and it finishes in maybe 4 days, you have children in school and their school fees has more than doubled, and also you spend a higher percentage of your earnings on food and at the end of the month you just look your bank statement and you cry, nobody is finding it funny at all, someone earning 200k per month in 2020 is better than someone earning 1m per month now.

I really pray that Nigeria gets better, it's heartbreaking seeing people go through a lot for the simplest and cheapest things.

I also feel bad that a man I believed in and ed so much has put Nigerians into this hardship, I'm heartbroken.

Tinubu Don fall a lot of people hand, people are just scared to it it yet because the Obidients will crucify them ๐Ÿ˜‚ not even in my wildest dreams did I believe things will get this difficult and the president will be insensitive enough to continue adding more pain and agony to the life of the poor citizens, people are protesting for hardship, you sent police to kill them, send some of them to prison and almost immediately you increased the price of fuel and the cost of port, planing to increase Vat and just every other punishment you can think of, what have the Nigerian citizens gain from all the money saved from the subsidy remover and everything?

No the person that is delusional is you with Nollywood. The killings happening in the the north, with a whole village being wiped out is normal. In the east the unknown gunmen killing people is normal, the kidnapping in every corner of Nigeria is normal by you. Because you choose the news you want to hear about your country. Continue decieving your self that the whites are worst...

Don't be ridiculous please, the topic is not about the bandit in the North or the Unknown gunmen, this is about serial killer, stay on the topic, don't go look for some excuse just to castigate Africa at the slightest opportunity you have.

no country will buy anything from Nigeria with Naira. This is a FACT. Have you heard of BRICS before? For over 20 years with intensive effort, they are yet to break the global dollar trade. The system needed for a naira enabled multinational trade is a lot more complex than most people imagine. It is not going to happen.

That's the Bretton Woods agreement not Bricks, thanks for reminding me though, international trade are conducted in dollars so it's true that Dangote won't sell in Naira, so how does that improve the value of Naira?

Is he not going to pay tax?

Is he going to pay tax in dollars? He's going to pay in Naira, the only way it can favour Nigeria is if Dangote is selling fuel in Naira which means all those countries will have to buy our Naira with their dollars before they buy from Dangote, anything short of that wouldn't make much impact imo!

I love your logic, Nigerians been thinking they are the smartest by displaying poverty and broke mentality ๐Ÿ˜‚ if they really wanna cut cost there are devices of 100k in the market why buy 200k own? The specs are different, people have different specs depending on their financial standing and preference, the day I bought my first midrange device, I knew i would never go back to an entry device, now I'm planning to get a flagship android device although I have an iPhone and 2 mirage device already, and the funny part is that I once swore I'd never spend my 100k on single phone ๐Ÿ˜‚

Even if he sells in dollars, that would ease the pressure on dollar demand in Nigeria and bring surplus which would make Naira to gain strength

Is he going to hand the dollar to the Nigeria government or what?

And that's the biggest problem of Nigeria, Otedola said this people have used more than 20 billion dollars in trying to repair those local Refinery, how much did Dangote built a new one with? If Nigeria refinery started working let's say 10 years ago we won't be in this mess of buying fuel for more than 1k per litre, but the masses are the ones bearing the brunt, people are suffering, I see them everyday, and all for what?

The annoying part about some of you guys is arguing blindly about something you only have half information about.

Please those other African countries with no refineries, would they be paying in Dollars or Naira when approaching Dangote to help them refine their crude?

The money the Nigeria government have been spending on importing and exporting of our crude oil for refinery that have been consuming our dollar reserves, with Dangote refinery, we save dollars.

Ordinary, Nigeria would serve as oil depot to other Neighboring countries, making Naira to gain more strength .

Are you sure that Dangote will sell to other Countries in Naira? I really doubt that.

Learn to discuss Issues without insult. Then base on your Annalise's you are just here to put blame not problem solving ideas . If government remove subsidy completely the prices of a liter will be more than 1200 and Nigerians including you are crying with this partial subsidy removal . What do you think will happen if they stop their back door subsidy? Tinubu has failed in that subsidy thing and many Nigerians were brainwashed against subsidy as if is the final solution to Nigeria problem which only enrich politicians but put many Nigerians in big problem . Many Nigerians who voted for any candidate that campaigned with Subsidy removal slogan are the same with Tinubus followers . I asked during electioneering " what will government give back to Nigerians that will complement the impact of subsidy " but many said good governance and paillatives. Now Tinubu and his governors are in big money but Nigerians are crying .

I'm not even in of the subsidy removal anymore, it's a decision that should have been taking very carefully because of the ripple effects it would generate, but now official price was set below 600 but I've been buying fuel for 1000 since, how does that makes sense? Let them come forward and tell Nigerian the truth

Okay, the reason is that when NNPC becomes the sole buyer of petrol from Dangote, then NNPC instead of demand and supply would determine the price of the commodity, which in-turn undermines the presence of the world's 6th largest refinery in a country with the 10th largest oil and gas reserve.

Now, you tell me why it is not a bad idea. Your turn.

It would have made sense if the Government agreed that fuel subsidy is back, there was no single Kobo budgeted for fuel subsidy, where is the money coming from? How much are they spending on subsidy monthly? Without all these the subsidy regime continue to be shrouded in secrecy which is nothing else but promoting corruption in large scale, you know this but your head is not working well, that's why you're defending corruption.

You haven't said why it is a bad idea.

Don't be stupid, Tinubu said he removed fuel subsidy which means the price should be determined by the force of demand and supply, what business does NNPC has with that? They are only doing that because Subsidy is really back, the landing cost of petrol is over 1000 so they'd buy at 1000 and sell to suppliers at below 600 which means for every 1 litre of fuel you're using in Nigeria Government are subsidising it with at least 400 while maintaining the lies that subsidy is gone! The reason it's bad is because NNPC will continue it's subsidy scam running into trillions of Nigeria while your president is shameless enough to broadcast recently that there's nothing like subsidy, he's confused and not bold enough to it that he's failed on his number one promise of removing fuel subsidy.
