From my viewpoint, there are many questions that need to be answered in respect to the MC Oluomo/Unilag story.
1. Who is a resource person?
2. What are the qualities of a good resource person?
3. What are the roles of a university in the development of a nation?
If all of these three questions can be answered, then, the argument for or against the story will be reduced.
In the first place, Mc Oluomo, by virtue of his position and experience in NURTW, is a resource person to an event of such nature. A resource person is someone who is vast in a particular field either through education, skill or experience.
To address the second question, the qualities are enormous (no one can posses all). However, one of the crucial qualities is that the person should not be someone of questionable character, meaning he or she should be accepted by a larger population. Even in a small community of Nairaland which can be used to generalise, the level of acceptance is below 30%.
I am not saying he is always doing bad but to be honest, I personally get to know about him as a political thug. Maybe there is need to do some sort of PR on his name and what he stands for before he can be accepted by a larger population.
However, it is not as if the so-called "acceptable resource person" do not have any cockroach in their cupboards, but the manner in which we do things is what really matters. Fine, Evans is a notorious kidnapper, but he does his things secretly with the fear of being caught someday. But the subject matter openly do some things contrary to societal values owing to the fact that he belongs to a particular cabal.
The activities of the NURTW can be very violent but that doesn't mean we can't correct that as a government. Former Gov. Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State at some point during his reign, made some good moves and corrected some ills in respect of the modus operandi and elections of NURTW. But it is sad today that the new governor is not walking in that path. Rather, he uses them to achieve his political wills........what a country!
In doing justice to the third question, yes......the role of a university in the moral development of any nation cannot be overemphasized. It is crucial for any nation to have a university sound in learning and research. I won't talk more on this since our universities are nothing to write home about. Imagine a university who is after a particular resource person all in the name of money? What happens to the articles written by this university in respect of the atrocities this subject matter has committed? What happens to the projects some serious students have written in this university in respect of the NURTW boss? What happens to the voluminous negative stories that have appeared even in the front pages of national newspaper in respect of the deeds of the subject matter?
In conclusion, the "bullshits" going on in our universities are quite alarming and as it is,...it seems we have lost virtually everything as a nation.

Starke:
I am a young professional sharing a room and parlour self contain with a friend. Now my friend has always been in the habit of bringing all sorts of girls to the house. This is a conduct which I have tried my best to ignore in order to allow peace to reign.
At some point he brought this particular girl and she stayed for sometime with us. From my conversations with her, she has an impressive body count and really dislikes condoms. At some point, she became very sick. Had white patches in her mouth and was very feverish. We had to take her to the hospital so she doesn't die in the house. The Doctor ran several tests on her and her HIV status was positive.
About a week later, I took my laptop to work and when I returned, I dipped my hands in the bag to retrieve my key only to be severely cut by a razor blade my roommate left in the bag. I asked him who owns it and he said he it belongs to the girl and he put it there hoping to dispose of it later. My heart bled. I rushed that night at about 9:45pm to Ikoyi military hospital to get PEP, but the hospital said I have to wait until the next day as the pharmacy had closed. The next morning at about 11:00am, after a lot of delay, I finally got the anti retroviral drugs.
Now after taking the drugs for about 3 days, the side effects were terrible and unbearable. I already had a subsisting kidney problem and the drugs was making it worse so I had to stop. What I want to know is what are my chances if I permanently discontinue the drugs? Am I going to seroconvert? I am scared shitless and if this happens to make me HIV+, I am seriously considering suicide.
Pls help me people.
Pls help me to move this post. I need to get as much input as possible.
If your explanations are true, then you're 100% free from HIV. The fact is the virus can't survive outside its host for a long time. Even if there's a cut from an infected person, the blood must run in a (bleeding manner) before it can enter into the mucous membrane of the uninfected body.
However, our medical personnel should be able to ask questions before giving out Prep as it is not for everyone. But the truth is that oftentimes, people lie when explaining themselves to the doctor.
The lady should enrol for treatment immediately at any government hospital and the other guy should visit a testing center to ascertain his status.
But if you are planning to discontinue the Prep, then there is a need to consult your doctor.

Fasawe Street in Owo, Ondo State. The power situation there is unbelievable. I think 22hrs a day. The light goes off only when there is a major fault somewhere or during routine maintenance.

is a lie we are also watching it live on TV...
The ongoing announcement is the same as what we have on chart in the first page. The only result that is missing here is that of Osogbo and that result will go a long way in determining the winner.

What is your obsession with mmm?
Secondly, your questions and answers are bereft of ideas of mmm.
I'm making this suggestions. Make a serious investigative research about mmm, from mmm website, read its ideology and warning. Then, you can write an informed article or question and answer coverage about mmm
Attached is a picture of a communication of participants of MMM. one attached a fake proof of payment and the other didn't confirmed it. After some days, precisely, yesterday, MMM intervene in the matter and asked for bank statement of .
My question is, does that seem to you like MMM is interested in running with the participants' money?
I feel disappointed when people don't understand how scammers go about their normal routine. Prior to the 'restriction on marvos' I told a friend that my project topic is on Cybercrimes and that MMM is a scam. He couldn't hear me and went on to invest 200, 000.
