President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a mature politician. Give it to him... This is one of the reasons many of his proteges, and political allies, who rebelled and left him, returned, and he accepted them with open arms. If it was President Olusegun Obasanjo, he wouldn't have just completely ignored Amaechi's milestone birthday, he might attend an event and tell stories of how bad Amaechi was, right on his 60th birthday! Pretenders! Liars! Wabara is, obviously, pained! He is trying to console his fellow party men and women, with this dodgy comment. There is no political party, as Nigeria's politics is configured today, that would lose a sitting Governor to another party, and would not be worried! Anyone, even a kid politician, let alone a very experienced one, such as Wabara, knows the huge role Governors play in election (both pre and post election management). Why are PDP henchmen crying about losing Delta State to APC? They know the power of mobilization of resources for elections. Wabara is acting like a dead man who is pretending to be sleeping. PDP is a dead political party. Any of the likes of Labour Party, NNPP, ADC, APGA, etc should take the role of the main opposition party in Nigeria. 1 Like |

It is a shame, for Peter Obi, someone who seeks to be President, to say that a third party is responsible for crisis in his own party! It is public ission of lack of leadership skills! Peter Obi, whenever he speaks, appears shallow and inept. I still struggle to see the 'thing' his rabid ers find in him. His commentaries, opinions, and interviews are usually winding, uncoordinated, tepid; and are always bereft of any cogent matter that suggests any form of insight! His answers are always pedestrian, pandering to the loose talk the average man on the street want to hear. How could that kind of fellow seek to be President of Nigeria, a very complex, diverse nation? It's baffling... 1 Like |

Nigerians who feared that Muslim-Muslim ticket was going to 'Islamise Nigeria' (whatever that meant), which is impossible in a democracy ('Islamise' or 'Christianise', that is), must have deliberately refused to follow Tinubu's antecedents in politics. Tinubu, as Governor of Lagos State: 70% of the Commissioners in the major ministries under him were Christians. He instituted annual Thanksgiving at Lagos Government House (where leading pastors, such as Pastor Adeboye of Redeemed Church, Bishop Okonkwo of TREM, Pastor Kumuyi of Deeper Life, adn many others prayed). This tradition has remained till today. He was the first Governor in South-West to return missionary schools to the churches. Even outside of his tenure as Governor of Lagos State, check his "inner caucus" (Cardoso, Edun, Alake, and many others), majority of them are Christians! The current Executive Secretary/CEO of Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, PhD., was a former Executive of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Lagos State. Go listen to the Bishop's campaign materials, online, for Tinubu. He gave so many testimonials about Tinubu's extreme, very uncommon level of religious tolerance. At the home front, his only wife is not only a Christian, she is a Pastor. His first son, Seyi, is a Christian, only the other son (who we see attend prayers with him) is a Muslim; in fact, ALL his daughters are Christians. I have friends in the North who always told me that Tinubu is a nominal Muslim; so, why did the body of Christ, the church and Christians, campaign against his Presidency in 2023? Even now, check his appointments (DGs, MDs, CEOs, EDs, etc, etc), majority are Christians. By his nuances, antecedents and proven reality, Tinubu is more Christian than some Christians. Facts only. |

Paraman: Never mind the mischievous clowns... Everyone who worked in a bank, at least since about 25 years ago, knew that Dr. John Tani Obaro, Founder of Systemspecs Group, also owned/founded Remita! It was daft to have suggested that Tinubu had anything to do with that company and its payment platform(s). 1 Like |

The same Abdullahi Adamu, who as APC Chairman, announced Ahmad Lawan, President of the Senate, in 2022, as the "consensus Presidential candidate of APC" after a fellow Northerner, former President Muhammadu Buhari, was about finishing his 8-year tenure! The bigoted Abdullahi Adamu? These daft, slimy politicians do not rate Nigerians at all! Nasir El-Rufai has become so bitter that he could visit the Devil for any so-called '2027 alliance' to unseat Tinubu, ONLY because he wasn't appointed Minister! This same El-Rufai, who had become 'a bull in a china shop', has his proteges in strategic positions the current Government. These are the Minister representing Kaduna State in the Federal Executive Council, a Deputy Governor of CBN, President Tinubu's Special Adviser on Central Coordination (aka "Head Girl" ![]() One wonders what might happen to these clowns WHEN (NOT IF) Tinubu is elected for his 2nd term in 2027. El-Rufai, the overrated chameleon, has gone rogue. It is such a shame, especially for those who thought that he was different... 1 Like 1 Share |

The defection of this Federal House of Representatives member, representing Jaba Zango-Kataf, Rt. Hon. Amos Gwamna Magaji, from PDP to APC, is a huge statement about the acceptability of APC in Kaduna South! This Federal constituency is an historical stronghold of the PDP! The very inclusive governance style of Governor Uba Sani (of APC) is a major reason for this very significant defection in the history of a non-PDP party! 1. accommodating largely Christian Southern Kaduna people 2. significantly improved security in their region (we hardly hear bandits killing and kidnapping them) 3. stoppage of killings of their people by religious fanatics 4. approval of a Federal University by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in their region 5. restoration of one their kings, who former Governor Nasir El-Rufai unjustly removed from the throne, etc, etc When ignorant people shout that the North would teach Tinubu politics in 2027, I wonder if they know anything about Nigeria's political history. This is the first time we have had a true politician as President, since return to democracy in 1999, and some clowns are saying that they would teach him politics! The man is a very pragmatic politician. Tinubu is quietly restructuring Nigeria without making noise, without convening a wasteful Constitutional Conference! He would win, again, in 2027. Only recently, some Christian Northern groups declared their for Tinubu, because they had been 'surprised' that the 'Muslim-Muslim ticket' (of Tinubu and Shettima) had not denied them anything, contrary to their expectation when they refused to him during the 2023 elections. The strongholds of the Labour Party, which rode on the wings of Peter Obi tsunami, are being decimated by the same APC and some people still do not think that Tinubu's re-election was a done deal? This is the same Tinubu who had already struck a deal with some PDP Governors, such as Peter Mbah of Enugu, Muftwang of Plateau State, Sheriff of Delta State, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Eno Umo of Akwa-Ibom State, Fubara of Rivers State (forget his feud with Wike, Tinubu had successfully deployed divide-and-rule strategy on those two gladiators), and others who are ending their 2nd in 2027, but who would work for him (people such as Makinde of Oyo State), to their re-election for his own re-election as President in 2027... Tinubu would teach many people politics in 2027. His 2nd term win is almost a done deal. Politicians who are interested in the Presidency should plan for 2031, not 2027. May God spare our lives till then and beyond! Amen. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Bala Mohammed who betrayed his party, ANPP, as a sitting Senator, lobbied President Goodluck Jonathan, got appointed FCT Minister and defected to PDP, as one of the main politicians who destroyed ANPP, is talking about party loyalty!!! Bala Mohammed, who before he ed politics, had a record of massive/grand corruption as GM Human Resources at ITF, is talking about probity! Bala Mohammed, who was one of the worst FCT Ministers, is talking about ability! Bala Mohammed, who, along with his son, Shamsudeen, were arraigned by EFCC for stealing billions of naira as FCT Minister, but who got rescued by immunity immediately he was elected Governor of Bauchi State, is talking about loyalty! Bala Mohammed should shut his stinking, corruption-ridden mouth, and face governance in his poverty-ravaged Bauchi State, a state he had taken far backward than his predecessor took it! |

D00msDay: I wonder! This shameless Mayaki guy was a journalist before he was appointed Chief Press Secretary to Obaseki. A friend told me that the reason why some of them behave the way Mayaki is currently behaving is because, while in government, they had acquired 'a taste for greed/unreal lifestyle' (free money, a retinue of aides, access to contractors who pay bribes, etc, etc), which they cannot maintain when they are out of office! The simple advice for any professional who got appointed to any office in government is to ensure that their "first address" (their initial professional calling) remains intact and also refuse to acquire any 'taste for greed'! 4 Likes 2 Shares |

kettykin: No! There is an existing College of Aviation in Ilorin, Kwara State, which is owned by the Kwara State Government; and which had been graduating qualified pilots for over 10 years! christejames: Please stop exposing your ignorance and stupidity on an online platform! Tinubu had nothing to do with this! First Bank's new majority shareholder, Mr. Femi Otedola, who is also the Chairman of FBN Holdings Plc, the bank's holdco, is executing his strategic vision for the bank. It is common practice for organizations to do this, when a new owner or a new management takes charge. There are many examples in the banking sector, asset management space, telcos, manufacturing, etc. It is not about everything that happens in the economy that we must blame government. I wonder what the noise about the Edo election is all about... I have seen countless videos of residents, including students and youths, of many LGAs in that state celebrating the election of Senator Monday Okpebholo. I have spoken to some Edo indigenes, both those who live in Edo State and those who live in states outside of Edo State, NONE of them complained! They all said that Obaseki is a wicked man and that they simply transferred their angst for Obaseki onto the innocent man, Asue Ighodalo. In fact, some Benin people told me that Obaseki's open and undisguised disrespect for (and humiliation of) the Oba of Benin was the MAJOR reason they voted APC! |

Reviewing the comments of the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of PDP, how he carefully chose his words and how he said "we are with Wike and everybody", etc, it is clear that WIKE IS FAR BIGGER THAN THE PDP. THEY FEAR HIM!!! The so-called 'summon' is fury without action. Please mark my words, NOTHING will come out of this weak 'summon'. Wike might not even appear before any Disciplinary Committee, which is headed by Tom Ikimi, another garrulous 'old PDP member' who partook in the APC merger of 2013... This problem was caused by PDP, which had continued to 'give' its Presidential ticket to Mr. Dubai (Atiku) who always ran to Dubai after every 4-year election cycle! Besides, when Atiku and others ruined PDP in 2014-2015 and defected to APC, which was the beginning of the death of PDP, it was this same Nyesom Wike that funded PDP and enabled it to stand. Unless PDP solves the 'Atiku problem', the party would continue to go from one crisis to another. Shame. 3 Likes |

For instance, the cerebral, world-renowned Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is from the same 'Delta Anioma', yet, people like you claim her as Igbo, because of her accomplishments. UncleKoboko: Before he became Senator, FCT Minister and Governor, Bala Mohammed was GM HR at NSITF. At every one of these places he worked he had a reputation for CORRUPTION! I know a few persons who were his colleagues in each of these places. May God save our country! We have become a country where ALMOST EVERYONE, BUT ONLY A FEW AS EXCEPTION, seek to drain the country at any opportunity. Even the pundits you see on TV, criticizing and shouting, most of them are waiting and praying to get a 'juicy appointment' so that they can LOOT! It has become everyone for himself, family and friends, not country! I insist that, until we have ELITE CONSENSUS among government, business and academic elite, civil society, etc, etc, about the future of our country (especially for the benefit of our children, grandchildren and the unborn), we may likely continue to roam in this vicious cycle! Imagine people stealing funds meant for a religious duty! This same Jalal Arabi was appointed, in November 2015, by President Muhammadu Buhari, as Permanent Secretary, State House. He retired in 2020, as Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, under a Minister who also allegedly looted the fund for vulnerable people... Kam2021: Never mind Chidi Odinkalu...Politics and his exclusion from public office since PDP lost to APC in 2015, had made him become a disgruntled loafer, given to raising dust where there is none. He has consistently assailed the integrity of the judiciary, without any proof. It's a shame... How could a Professor of Law make this kind of insinuation, never mind that the judge and Wike are NOT even from the same local government, let alone the same village, despite Odinkalu's sick and daft post? Chidi has constantly been doing damage to his reputation as a product of a Federal Government College (Unity School) and a Professor of Law. His social media writings appear as though he thinks from his ass. It is an unfortunate degeneration of a once-respected mind, just because he was replaced as CEO of Nigerian Human Rights Commission... 2 Likes |

Nonybb: "Even during the military era, the judiciary are well respected." How old are you? For you to have written: "even during the military era, the judiciary are well respected", you must be so ignorant! N20,000 is a monthly stipend. For anyone who is indigent, especially in the hinterland, a financial of N20,000, every month, is a big deal! I worked in retail banking in the past, I know a few things about some challenges we (who live in the major cities- Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Kano, Kaduna) see as 'small'. I know men (husbands, fathers, uncles, etc), in certain parts of Nigeria, who have never held as small as N5,000, in bulk, in their hands, in their entire lives, some as old as 60 years of age! In addition to this monthly stipend, the Federal Government, through NELFUND, pays the TUITION FEES DIRECTLY into the s of the higher institutions, on behalf of the indigent applicants. This is a big deal! It is not every time we should criticize Tinubu/FG. He did well with this one! 1 Like 1 Share |

Slimvincent: Good deal? Did you know the salary of a University lecturer in 1983? How old are you? LOL! In that year, in 1983, more than half of Nigeria's population could not afford the N200 bag of beans you termed "good deal"! Truth is, from at least under Gowon's profligate (wasteful) regime, where salaries of workers were arbitrarily increased and backdated (even when Chief Jerome Udoji, the Chairman of the Wage Review Committee, did NOT recommend any back-dating), inflation in Nigeria started a flight and our country never remained the same! It was after this stupid salary increase by General Yakubu Gowon, that the average Nigerian started buying tonnes of foreign goods and our taste for imported stuff changed! FOREVER! THERE WAS NEVER A TIME THINGS WERE NOT EXPENSIVE IN NIGERIA, AT LEAST FROM 1970! FACTS ONLY. The items this current generation thought were cheap (because they used current prices to compare) were NEVER CHEAP! Just as it is today, majority of the population could not afford those items! When an uncle bought an Opel Record card for about N300, he was the ONLY ONE who had that car in the entire city he lived at that time! When school fees were less than N100 per term, majority could still not afford it. If Canadians and citizens of those countries our young persons run to had fled their own countries, would they be able to run to those countries now? NIGERIANS MUST DEVELOP NIGERIA! Nigeria needs a reset! We need an ELITE CONSENSUS, where those in government and the elites (big-men businessmen, the intelligentsia, enlightened, etc) would sit down and agree: WE WANT OUR COUNTRY TO MAKE PROGRESS, ENOUGH OF INDIVIDUAL GREED, else, we would continue to move in circles, and succeeding governments would continue to be worse than their predecessors! This is NOT about Tinubu, Atiku, or Peter Obi. May God help my country, Nigeria, to move form potential to reality! AMEN. 10 Likes 5 Shares |

SisterJolade: Nigerians and inferiority complex! Nigerians and self-deprecation! I wonder why Nigerians frequently use the words "in a saner clime"? Are you insane, since your own country is a 'less sane' country or an 'insane clime' of a country? Has any IG of Police, in this same country, ever met leaders of a planned protest ahead of the commencement date? Isn't it some progress that the IG had a meeting with them? Did the IG of Police in any African country where protests held engage protesters before the targeted dates? Must you lowlifes curse your country at ALL times? Ain't you cursing yourselves by cursing your own country? Did you really expect to thrive in a country you use words like "Nigeria is finished", "Nigeria is gone", every time? Did you expect your leaders to be saints in a country where sellers in the markets pad their weighs and measures? Did you expect your leaders to be saints in a country where free food (clearly and boldly marked as "not for sale" ) is re-bagged and sold in the open market? Every Nigerian should do his/her bit and seek the progress of the country. It is in our own best interest! GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!! |

The IDIOTS at Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) needed their supervising Minister to tell them that Nigerians were facing difficult economic times? Don't they shop in similar markets as other Nigerians? Don't they read newspapers at their offices? Don't they listen to daily news? Are we sure that there are no saboteurs in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government? Why would a human being with a brain, the DG of NAMA that is, have to wait for the Minister of Aviation to tell him that a wholesale 800% increase in any form of aviation charges by ANY government agency, at this time, when return tickets for 1-hour local flights are already as high as N200,000, is STUPID AND WICKED? DeLaRue: Peter Obi, a former Chairman of a commercial bank (Fidelity Bank) has just spoken like an illiterate idiot! First, any current or former banker; or anyone who knew anything about banking would have known that Heritage Bank had long been on "intensive care unit (ICU)" in of bad loans (poor asset quality) and very weak liquidity since 2017 and only CBN had been "managing" its financial health, which for all intents and purposes, was irredeemably bad! Second, CBN or NDIC could NEVER have paid depositors 100% of their funds, no matter the emotional nonsense Peter Obi wrote here; because, by law, NDIC can only pay a maximum of N5 million per depositor. It is so clear in the NIDIC Act. In fact, the figure was much lower, until a few months ago, when the National Assembly ed an amendment to the NDIC Act, and increased the threshold payable. How could Peter Obi make this stupid statement, all in a bid to make the Federal Government bad, and tantalize the illiterate wing of his Obidient crowd? This is so disappointing, coming from Peter Obi, who should know! |
