Anti corruption Programs are good. Let the anti corruption agencies do their work without depending on the presidency, we don't need it on everyday news. These are the questions the ordinary Nigerians are asking, including northerners on the streets. When will Nigerians have stable power supply? When will there be health insurance for all Nigerians? When will the minimum wage be more than the price of a bag of rice? When will our children, brothers and sisters get a good job(or even any job)? And many more questions.. |

Dear Mr. President, Corruption cannot end in Nigeria in the next 100 years and if it will end, it won't be the under this government of PMB, no matter what. Is this corruption fight motivated by a desire to protect the people OR to protect Buhari and his government? Anti Corruption activities are the functions of the system and relevant authorities, not the presidency. The best the president can do is to strengthen the Anti corruption systems and agencies, make them more effective and more independent of all and even the presidency. When anti corruption agencies become dependent on the presidency, taking 90% of orders from the presidency, their purposes are defeated. Anti corruption war becomes anti opposition war. The intention of the presidency becomes irrelevant compared to the pattern of it's actions. This is what is happening right now. With power and lack of foresight comes arrogance. There are a lot of lessons to be learnt from history by PMB and his ers. Even Hitler, Abacha, Saddam Hussein and other Men alike had ers until their downfall. Avoid arrogance and listen to the people because this is democracy. Dear PMB, 4 or 8 years will come and go. What do you want to be ed for? What do you want to do that no president has even done in Nigeria? The ball is still in your court and time is running out. BE WISE Long Live Nigeria. God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This letter is from an ordinary Nigerian who loves Nigeria. Let's on until it reaches the Presidency. http://www.opnlttr.com/letter/dear-my-nigerian-president-which-way 1 Like 1 Share |

I've been taking a close look at this U.S. Election for some time and after last night's debate just made up my mind that Donald Trump will most likely win. This will most likely be like another Brexit result that will shock the world. Does anyone know where I can place a bet or who's ready to bet big time with me? 4 Likes 2 Shares |

OrlandoOwoh: This is not a post in opposition to the government of the day. Just some Nigerians thinking outside mainstream pattern.. Not surprising, only few people think this way. |

The problem is that the public don't know how much power they have. They don't even put pressure on these people to make them answerable. You see watery, copious discussions on social media without substance and you wonder Why Not. "Why not" should they be behaving anyhow. Look at the recent disgraceful behaviours of the house of reps and you wonder which kind of country we are living in.

When will Nigerians rise and tell the ruling class that enough is enough. The people in power don't usually leave power unless it's taken away from them. This is why we have revolutions in various parts of the world. For me, elections in Nigeria since 1999 has been transfer of power from one person in the same political class to another. The Man of the people is yet to rule the country, our country Nigeria. We are being ruled by men of the ruling class Men of the ruling class who believe that they are more powerful when the people are poorer, needy and ignorant; seeing the country and the masses as nobody but instruments to achieve power and fortune and be discarded. If you think Nigeria will get better under Buhari, you are only dreaming. It must come to a time when the people will have to come together and unite and fight the current political class and take power from them. It might require sweat and bloodshed but that's the same price for liberty, freedom and justice that people in history have paid, even in this country in the past. Hoping that the time will come when the masses in Nigeria will realise that their fate can be determined by themselves instead of the political class who don't care about them, that they can fight for themselves and win. They can fight economically and win. They can fight politically and win. They can fight for their future and the future of their children and win. Finally, always that your oppressor will never give power to you except you take it by Force. Waiting for that day in Nigeria. Till then, let's keep suffering and smiling. God bless Nigeria. |

I ask myself how many people have been killed by the ruthless jihadist criminals called boko haram since their inception. Children, pregnant women, innocent men among others in thousands. Now we are celebrating the release of 21 girls. Don't these people who have been killed so far deserve just justice? Who are those behind the funding and organisation of this terror group from the beginning? Are we not supposed to be talking about how to bring them to final justice.? Are we not supposed to be talking about how this kind of insurgency must never happen again in our country? I ask myself who is benefiting from all these TV announcements and celebration of the release of 21. They are already celebrating the planned release of the next batch. Who's benefiting from this publicity.? This is stupidity of a high order. Good that the girls were released (looks like acting to me though). Let them go home and as much as possible with brief announcement. No need of the over hyped publicity to fool people and score cheap political points for the government. Finally, I still maintain my position that the Nigerian government is a failure (as regards this issue) until they let us know (or find out if they haven't) the people behind this evil and bring them to justice and find a way it doesn't repeat itself in our great nation again. Nigerians Deserve Better. God bless Nigeria. 2 Likes 1 Share |

No doubt some doctors have superiority complex. Also no doubt a lot of allied medicals like MLS, nursing etc also have inferiority complex (not all though) You never talk about the Clinical Pathologists who are medical doctors who trained most first sets of medical laboratory scientists in Nigeria with the hope of producing scientists to help them in their Labs only for them to hijack their Labs from them. When it comes to laboratory studies in the USA and UK, what you hear about is Consultant Pathologists and not MLS. I think we need you here in Nigeria because of the shortages of doctors (pathologists) here but stop misleading the public about who you are not. Let people know that that there are Consultant Pathologists who are real medical doctors in charge of laboratory medicine but in short supply in Nigeria. Wish you the best guys. No bad blood. 4 Likes |

Looks more like nollywood movie to me but who am I and what do I know. We just need to always remind our leaders and world leaders that they are only fooling themselves in their games of power and not us. #Bring back our girls was a game from the beginning . It only takes common logical 1+1 sense to see this. 1 Share |

Just wondering why the west who were very vocal when the girls were abducted are not so ecstatic about their release now. Was expecting to have seen Michelle Obama and other Hollywood stars to have tweeted this as a success/achievement in the BBOG campaign. Maybe they know something that we don't know. 2 Likes |

Can there be 'Islamic Civilization' or Islam just opposes Civilization. MY THOUGHTS. I'm not talking about Islam as being practised by secular people. Islam at it's core as it's being preached by the most revered of Islamic teachers. What do they really believe versus what Civilization believes. Non adherents are infidels and must be punished here on earth through Jihad against them( beheading, amputation, torture etc) A civilised mind believes that you can choose to believe in what ever or not even believe in anything at all if you so desire. It's your business as long as you don't interfere with my belief. Blasphemy against a prophet is rewarded with death, usually jungle justice as seen here in Nigeria. Most adherents seem to be comfortable with this as usually there is no public condemnation of the act. Civilised mind doesn't care what you say about who as long as it doesn't interfere with others freedom of expression. There are issues on gender, right to governance, banking etc. Some also talk about sympathy for jihadist ( western press call them terrorists) Seems like Islam at it's core is just not compatible with Civilization. These are just my thoughts, no bad intended. I love Moslems. |

aalangel: It's all over the world. The 'Haves' controlling the 'Have nots'. For example, Whoever thinks Tinubu and GEJonathan are not friends(maybe not close, but friends) is not aware of how the rich think. Yet you see people fighting online for them or killing and fighting on the street because of them. So sad. 1 Like |

Each of us has a vision of good and of evil. We have to encourage people to move towards what they think is good... Everyone has his own idea of good and evil and must choose to follow the good and fight evil as he conceives them. That would be enough to make the world a better place - Pope Francis

Ever wonder what's the motivation for this radical jihadist movement (or call it terrorism) . See a cute young man called Tim Osman who was working as a CIA operative in the 80s before he became who we all knew as the global terrorist called Osama bin laden. He was from a rich Saudi Arabian family and a security and defence operative who was supposed to be concerned with world's safety. Only God knows what went wrong with him. He was eventually responsible for killings of thousands of both Muslims and Christians around the world during his lifetime. Hmmmmnn..

Like the saying goes. The rich befriend the rich and the poor befriend likes. Even though millions of poor voters think these people are at war with each other, I bet they are not. For anyone of them who eventually wins, it's a win for the other too. See attached picture... 1 Share |

Lifestone: Agreed. But those isolated events have not translated into making blank statements like 'American doctors are not competent' 'Spanish doctors are dangerous' 'American doctors are killers' I'm not justifying this isolated case. Just saying we should stop saying 'Nigerian doctors are.....(negatives)' For this single case, there are thousands of other sound, intelligent and well talented Nigerian doctors who know what they are doing. The doctor or pharmacist involved should be sanctioned if found guilty, no doubt. 1 Like |

bullseye90: It's simply because they don't have insight. I was at National hospital Abuja when a senator came for a dental treatment there and nothing happened to him afterwards. People die abroad too during medical procedures / treatments. The main problem is our system not clinicians. We get better doctor brains here most of those abroad sef but the system is messed up. 2 Likes |
