Sermon On The Mount You have heard how it was said in the past, "keep your virginity because that is your pride; it is the one gift you can ever give to your husband." But I say this to you, "Do not keep your virginity for your husband or for any man. Virginity is not meant to be a gift to any human; both you and your man are supposed to be virgins ordinarily. Do not mix it up. Being a virgin ordinarily means you are not involving yourself into any sexual sin. In this way, you are pure, both in heart and in body. The reward for purity in the beatitudes is that you shall see the Lord. If there is any reason why you should keep your virginity, let this reason be your number one: That blessed are the pure in heart, whose body are the temples of the Holy Spirit, for they shall see God." You have heard how it was said in the past, "Teach your daughters not to allow any man to touch them." But I say this to you, "You spend all your energy teaching only your daughters how to be virgins and to be God fearing without considering your sons; your neighbours down there spend all their energy too teaching only their daughters same thing. At the end of the day, "The sons of your neighbour who were not taught to keep their virginity find your daughters sexually attractive and decided to talk them out of all the virginity lessons you gave them. They fell for it. Then, your own sons too, who were not also taught to keep their virginity, find your neighbours' daughters sexually attractive and decided to also talk them out of the virginity lessons your neighbour gave them. They too fell for it. At the end, you and your neighbours just succeeded in fooling yourselves." You have heard how it was said in the past, "mothers, teach your daughters how to cook, that is the one way to get into a man's heart." But I say this to you, "Teach your sons and daughters how to cook. Something as important as food that is meant to sustain, nourish, and preserve life should not be left for just one group of people. Besides, it is unfair if your daughters could get into a man's heart through food, and your sons cannot get into a woman's heart too through food. Don't girls eat too?" You may have heard how it was said in the past, "Teach your daughters to be careful of boys because they can deceive them." But I say this to you, "Teach your sons rather to be more careful of girls. The wives of some of the heavy weight wrestlers are like dwarf when compared to the physical stature of their man, yet these same women have a way of putting their man into perspective even without them having a single muscle. More than 90% of great men that have ever fallen from grace to grass fell because they were not careful of women; they underrated the power of women just as you are teaching your sons now." Bokoharam soldiers. They know what they are doing. If you research on those villages very well, you will notice that its a Christian village in borno. They want to reduce the population of Christian in the North and take over their lands then hand it over the Fulani/hausa.

Is it Dufil ? Makers of indomie and co. Applied, went for their test, ed and was called for an interview...imagine after all the recruitment processes we went through, during the test, due to how difficult it was, we were expecting nothing less than 60k basic salary plus commission etc, me was even expecting over 100k salary. But after the rigorous interview from a white Indian and another Nigerian, we were offered the job with a salary of 25k chai my motivation dropped. Sometimes this multinationals doesn't really worth it. Or maybe their top HR executives steals from the salary of their workers.

if Christians continue to keep quiet and take these killings for granted, these Muslim jihadist fighters with a mindset of islamizing Nigeria, would finish us all. They are highly secretly ed by the Muslim Elites. If we don't do something now as Christian and speak in one voice, and fight against this people, it will be very bad for us all. The Fulani killing and land encroachment, including the boko haram, ISIS killings is meant for a purpose and are fully sponsored and ed by the Muslim Elites. 148 Likes 6 Shares |

"Fear Woman" At some point shortly before I entered the seminary, I avoided having any physical with ladies. I thought I was so holy by doing that. My definition of a holy man then was hinged on the man's ability not to have much to do with women, one who avoids physical s with women, even handshakes. This was because, While growing up, there were pictures painted to us about women. Women were often portrayed as tempters, as people often used by the devil. They gave us the impression that women can destroy the destiny of any man and bring the person down no matter how strong he is. I still ed those days, preachers, catechism teachers and motivational preachers will tell us that for a man to be successful he needs to be careful with women, if possible keep them far away. Fortunately for them and unfortunately for us, there were lots of biblical ages they were able to pick to justify their teachings. For example: According to them, in Genesis 3, Adam fell because of the woman. In 2 Samuel 11, the reason why David fell, despite the fact that he was able to kill the giant called Goliath and was regarded as having a special place in God's heart, was simply because of a woman, a naked woman. Even Solomon in all his wisdom was made foolish by women. Samson in all his muscles and powers became nothing because of a "muscle-less powerless" woman called Delilah. So while growing up, we had this neighbour popularly called Apama, a six ft tall and huge man that sold goat meat. His motto was "Fear woman". He wrote it boldly beside his bike's plate number. Whenever he walked the street, people hail him with those words: "Fear woman!" and he will raise his hand high in acknowledgement. The words "fear woman" kept ringing in my head. As a kid, it made a lot of influence on me. I watched how in school, boys that don't usually talk with girls were regarded as holy boys. Those that always chat with women were called "woman-wrapper" to show that they are far from holiness. Then I took this to the seminary as what holiness should be. And so, in my first year in the seminary, every Sunday we usually have outsiders, male and females and especially females, who come to our chapel for mass and prayers. Immediately after mass, fiam. . . with the speed of light, Kelvin is already in his room. I was simply avoiding with any female. In fact, I do not want to see them. To my shock, one Sunday after mass, myself and some of my classmates as usual have already dashed into our rooms. The director of formation then, Fr Moses Amune, came into our hostels to chase us out so we can go and interact with the people including women. Sincerely speaking, I was greatly scandalized. "How can he ask us to go and chat with women?" I asked myself. "This is supposed to be a seminary, a holy place." I added. I concluded that he wants to test us and then expel us. I reluctantly went and as I chatted, I did it with so much caution. After many years I came to understand and appreciate the wisdom of what he was trying to do to us: Holiness is about being balanced and being disciplined. Holiness is more of self control. You cannot be a priest if all you see about women are tempters, sex objects, etc. And this is the point, being a virgin because you are running away from girls is not the same as being a virgin despite having many opportunities in secret and said no. Why should we blame Uriah's wife for David's inability to control himself? Why bring a woman for stoning because she was caught in adultery but found nothing wrong with the fact that the man she did it with was not brought along side? Why should we blame women's dressing when they are raped by men? And just like in Pastor Adeboye's tweet, why must we sack a lady in our offices because men can't control themselves? Will it not be wiser to sack the men for not having self control? Over the years, women have been objectified as though they are made for men's use. It is also interesting to note how women have even accepted this objectification. You will get to understand this by just looking at some of the videos they make of themselves in their status and updates and even the dance trending for almost all of them in which they called tweaking. As a woman, you are not an object to be used by the man. As a man, if you don't have self control, don't blame it on the woman even if she is naked before you. The bible said, if your right eye should cause you to sin, pluck it out. It did not say if anything should cause your eye to sin, pluck that thing out instead of your eye. In other words, the bible is simply saying: WORK ON YOURSELF. https://mobile.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2661469860636052&id=2149201088529601&refid=17&_ft_=mf_story_key.2661469860636052%3Atop_level_post_id.2661469860636052%3Atl_objid.2661469860636052%3Acontent_owner_id_new.2149201088529601%3Athrowback_story_fbid.2661469860636052%3Apage_id.2149201088529601%3Aphoto_id.2661469793969392%3Astory_location.4%3Astory_attachment_style.photo%3Apage_insights.%7B%222149201088529601%22%3A%7B%22page_id%22%3A2149201088529601%2C%22actor_id%22%3A2149201088529601%2C%22dm%22%3A%7B%22isShare%22%3A0%2C%22originalPostOwnerID%22%3A0%7D%2C%22psn%22%3A%22EntStatusCreationStory%22%2C%22post_context%22%3A%7B%22object_fbtype%22%3A266%2C%22publish_time%22%3A1580555027%2C%22story_name%22%3A%22EntStatusCreationStory%22%2C%22story_fbid%22%3A%5B2661469860636052%5D%7D%2C%22role%22%3A1%2C%22sl%22%3A4%2C%22targets%22%3A%5B%7B%22actor_id%22%3A2149201088529601%2C%22page_id%22%3A2149201088529601%2C%22post_id%22%3A2661469860636052%2C%22role%22%3A1%2C%22share_id%22%3A0%7D%5D%7D%7D%3Athid.2149201088529601%3A306061129499414%3A2%3A0%3A1583049599%3A-127786119000240092&__tn__=%2As-R 1 Like |

Marriage: An Obligation or A Choice? There is this subtle impression that people give you if they discover that you are still single at an age they probably feel you should be married. They come across as though Marriage is not a choice, but a MUST. Even without arguing, they will quote Genesis just to show you how Adam had a missing rib and how God later told him and his wife to multiply and fill the earth. They will conclude that everyone who is a man has a missing rib that must be found; and that everyone who is a woman is in possession of a man's missing rib that she must return. It is a common thing in Africa that once you get to a certain age the only thing people will be telling you at home is to go and get married. And as a matter of concern, unsolicited prayers are said for you to be able to find wife or husband. And when you go to church, there is a special way they pray for those who are not married that will make you feel that to be single is a curse. Dear friends, marriage is such a beautiful thing because through it a new family is created. And as a matter of fact, family is something awesome. But, Not everyone actually wants to get married, and there is no crime in it. We must also understand that not everyone that desires marriage will find a spouse, and it does not mean they are cursed. More still, not all those who got married will stay married. Let this reality sinks. You see, because of the pressure to get married, people have ended up marrying their worst nightmares. To the outside world, they are married and are blessed, but let them open their mouths to give you an idea of what they are going through, you will ask them to leave the marriage. Some of these people who are in terrible marriages cannot even tell anyone about it, not because they don't want to, but because society is not open to listening to such. Some ladies are successful in life, they have everything going for them, but because no man has proposed to them yet, they do not see all the other blessings of God. The world has succeeded in making them feel that they are useless without a man as husband. Let us all understand that everyone came with their complete ribs. No woman is holding a rib of another man. It is false to believe that the ribs of men are incomplete. The vast majority of people are born with 12 pairs of ribs, for a total of 24, no matter their sex. The exception to this anatomy rule are people born with specific genetic anomalies. So when the Bible talked about Adam's rib been removed, you lose the deep meaning of the text once you interpret it literally. I have met married people that are very happy. I have met those whom all they wanted was to get married, but when they finally did, it did not take long for the marriage to end. I have an Aunty in her early 70s who is not married, I am sure she never planned to be unmarried, she is living happily with my grandma. All of us are made differently. Our destinies are different. Make good of your present situation by not allowing it determine your happiness. Leave what the world are saying. Follow what God is saying. As the Bible says in Matthew 19:12 "For there are different reasons why men cannot marry: some, because they were born that way; others, because men made them that way; and others do not marry for the sake of the Kingdom of heaven. Let him who can accept this teaching do so." (Good news translation). Rev Fr Kelvin Ugwu MSP (Missionary of St Paul) https://mobile.facebook.com/frkelvinugwu/ www.kelvinugwu.com

I have been seeing people misunderstanding the difference between this two words and would like to use this avenue to correct that. The general purpose of prophecy and prediction is the same: to tell what will happen in the future. However, their source of authority for this information is very different. Prophecy relies on the authority of God-given information. True prophecy is therefore never wrong because it always carries the authority of God's truth and character. On the other hand, prediction is based on man's ability to determine what may happen in the future. Prediction is sometimes right but often wrong because it depends on man. Unfortunately, some who are not prophets claim the gift of prophecy. The Bible teaches that one test of a true prophet is whether or not his prophecy always comes to . Deuteronomy 18:21-22 states, " You may wonder how you can tell when a prophet's message does not come from the Lord. When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to , that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him." People who falsely claim the gift of prophecy are in danger of the judgment of God. It is a serious offense against the Lord. Prediction has a 50/50 chance of occurring but prophecy is 100% guaranteed to happen. |

Shibaraba:a priest is also a pastor. Pastor means Shepherd as in a leader of a flock. But not all pastors are priest because a priest is unique and special. A prophecy is not prediction, they are two different thing. prediction has a 50/50 chance of happening but prophecy is direct from God and nothing can stop it from happening. Mbaka doesn't predict, he prophecy. |

When Mbaka gave his prophecy concerning the 2015 election that brought in Buhari, many people insulted Mbaka but his prophecy came to . He said Buhari will become our next president and u all have bubu as ur president now, though most of us don't like him but it is God's will. Now Mbaka just few days ago, during his new year mass, said Hope uzordimma will replace the present governor of PDP and it has just happened. This is how you know a real prophet and not like others who predict future outcomes and call it prophecy. Mbaka said>>“Even though Ihedioha has won in a tribunal and at the Appeal Court, that doesn’t mean that he will triumph in Supreme Court enough of all this brouhaha…” Those were the exact words of the Rev Fr Mbaka in his New Year prophecy . 1 Like |

ochibuogwu5:There is actually no long process in baptizing the young and old. Infant as old as 7 days old are being baptized, just let the church know that you want to be baptized and you will be baptized. Last week an old man...very old man that's more than 100 years, after listening to the word of God and experiencing Christ, gave his life to Christ and a priest baptized him. The priest who did the baptism, told us himself. You can see that there is actually no process involved. Anyone who hasn't being baptized, can walk into the church and meet a priest and your baptizing date would be fixed. Some church have fixed date for infant baptism...so they may ask you to pls wait till then, which doesn't exceed 2-3 weeks intervals..mass baptism for infant is done so that priest can meet up with other schedules for the day or week....that one no be long process na....abi na long process?? But as a matured adult, just walk in, meet the priest and your date would be fixed. But before baptism, the two steps u mentioned above must have been followed. |

The Controversy Between Baptism and Born-Again By Rev Fr Kelvin Ugwu. Read previous post that lead to this https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/5627540/being-born-again Biblically, to be born again is to be BAPTIZED. Ordinarily, this won't have been a case to debate on because the bible is very clear about it. Unfortunately, almost every person and every denomination have their own interpretations and teachings on what they consider to be born again and what they consider to be baptism. This confusion in Christianity especially since it is about Baptism worries me so much because I know that the God we all claim to be serving is not a God of confusion. How come the are? If you can spare few minutes, I just would like us to look at the Bible objectively and see what it says on baptism so we can at least trace where we got it wrong. I promise you will not regret taking out time to read this post, even though it is a bit long. First, we begin with where the word "born again" was first used. It was from Christ himself. John 3:3. “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." The Greek word translated as born again is "ἀναγεγεννημένοι". Some translations used "Born from Above" instead of "Born again". Because it was even confusing to the person Jesus was talking to, he had to take his time to explain what be meant by born again in verse 5. “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit." Ordinarily, I would have concluded that Jesus' explanation was very clear until some Christians started having the claim that Jesus was not talking about Baptism with water rather that he was talking about "baptism of the Spirit." The big question is, can there be Baptism at all, in which ever form we see it, without the Holy Spirit? Now, let us imagine the importance Christ placed on Baptism. It was the last command he gave before his Ascension. I want us to imagine our typical parents. If they are dying or better still traveling and it will take a very long time before their children see them again, at the sick bed or airport, those messages they give to their children as they bid each other farewell are usually the most important from their hearts. In the same way, that was what Jesus did to his disciples as he bid them farewell. He said: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."(Mark 16:14-16). There are three key words there: Preach. Believe. Baptise. To still make everything more clearer, Matthew's gave us how we can Baptised. The formula to use. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19). What could be clearer than that? Interestingly, the early disciples of Jesus understood how important this was. They took it seriously. In Acts of the Apostles 16: 14-15, Paul baptised Lydia and his household. I would like you to read for yourself: 14. One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul. 15. And after she was *BAPTIZED*, and her household as well, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” And she prevailed upon us. This is the same Paul some people were misquoting out of context that according to Romans 10:9 we are saved only by confessing with our mouth and not Baptism. In Act 16, we saw the beautiful story of Paul and Silas in the prison and the conversion of the Jailer. Paul and Silas sang songs and the prison gate opened. But the interesting part was the jailer who wanted to kill himself thinking the prisoners have escaped. After Paul talked to him, he was moved. And he asked a very important question in verse 30, and a beautiful and very important response was given to him in verses 32,&32. 30 “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house." You noticed how the first thing was for him to believe. For most Protestants and Pentecostals, that is all, that is Altar call. The person is proclaimed saved. But that was not the same for Paul. After Paul has seen that he believes, he did not stop there. In verse 33, we saw his baptism. 33 "And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and he was BAPTIZED AT ONCE, he and all his family." If you noticed, the words "At Once" was there for some emphasis. It was as though, there is no need waiting. It was like saying, "let us complete the conversion process immediately." This is the same Paul that some people are misquoting o. Have we also forgotten that after Paul was converted on his way to Damascus to persecute Christians, he was made blind. The disciple Ananias was sent by God himself, not to ask Paul to repeat any prayers and be saved, but to Baptise him.(Act 9:10-19). How else do we want God to show us how important Baptism is? Now we move to Peter, the head of the church. In Acts of the Apostles chapter 10, the entire chapter was all about a certain man called Cornelius and how Peter preached to him and he was baptised. The story is very dramatic. First, Peter saw the vision to go, then he was hesitant because the man in question was a pagan, and finally when he arrived, he preached. Then the last part and interesting part. When Peter was preaching the Holy Spirit came down on them. And do you know what Peter said in verse 47? Read for yourself. "Then Peter responded, "How could anyone prohibit WATER, so that those who have received the Holy Spirit would not be BAPTIZED, JUST AS WE ALSO HAVE BEEN?" Verse 48 "And he ordered them to be BAPTIZED in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then they begged him to remain with them for some days." If you look at that verse 47, it is like as if Peter was saying..."oya, let us do it quick quick…who can ever dare to deny them baptism when the holy spirit has spoken." You see, even for the apostles, baptism was the ultimate point of conversion. That is what they understood as being born again. In all the ages I have quoted so far, do you also noticed that every member of the house were baptised too? Is it possible that there were no children that were baptised along side? Why do we fight over infant baptism? Why can't a child be baptised with the faith of the parents. Where in the scripture was infant baptism condemned? I am so sorry that this is getting too long. I just want to give you all the possible instances that will help you see what I mean. The last example I will quote is about Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch. In Act 8: 26-40, it is all about the dramatic story of Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch. Philip was sent to him. After Philip had explained the scripture to him, he was touched. Then something dramatic happened in verse 36 as they were on the way. Read for yourself: 36 And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “SEE, HERE IS WATER! WHAT PREVENTS ME FROM BEING BAPTIZED?” 38 And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. From what the man said alone, you could deduce that Philip had told him so much about Baptism using water. All he was just looking out for was where he will find water. And once he did, he could not hold it again. He even ordered his chariot to stop. Once he was baptised, the whole conversion process was complete. From that age also and some other ages I already quoted, we can deduce that baptism is not merely an act done in the river. All that is needed is water and the formula given in Matthew 28:19. In conclusion, There is a consistent trend in the whole ages I quoted. First, there is preaching. Secondly, the person believes. Thirdly, the person is baptised. For so many people who feels Altar call is what it means to be born again, what is important to them is preaching and then believe. They do not add the last and most important part. Yet they want us to believe that they are following the bible. Let me leave it like this while I wait for your own say on this. Thanks for the patience to read. Thanks too for sharing this post. God bless you! Fr Kelvin Ugwu MSP

When we are baptized, we become Christians, children of God and of his Church. Being born again is to be born in the Water and spirit( Sacrament of Baptism). Read the gospel of Saint John chapter 3, the Meeting of Jesus and Nicodemus. Quite explicit. Take Note; anyone can be baptized, regardless of their age including and infant and the aged.

Being Born Again The preacher: If you want to give your life to Christ, repeat this prayers after me. . . "Lord Jesus. I repent of my sins. Come into my heart. I make you my Lord and personal saviour. Amen." The preacher: If you just said that short prayer, you just got born again. Congratulations! Get yourself into a good bible church. . . Cut!!! Apologies to all my friends who believe that to be born again is to merely recite the prayers called "sinner's prayers" where you accept Christ as your personal Lord and saviour, after which you are congratulated as one who is now born again. It is necessary we remind ourselves that the prayer is not biblical; it is not what the Bible meant when it talked about being born again. The confession and acceptance of Christ to be our Lord and personal saviour is good, but to have said it, is not to have been born again if we are to follow the bible. Saying the prayers is just at best a step towards being born again. Biblically, to be born again is to be BAPTIZED. Full stop!
