Hi Everyone,

I made a visa appointment payment on line and in the MRV on the application , I entered the payment Reference and got a that my request to schedule appointment was received and will be reviewed, that I will get a mail once it’s approved.
Who knows how long this review take and when I should be expecting approval mail?
Someone here noted that it took about two weeks, although the timelines vary, could be faster or slower

but I already did my biometric for a visitor visa last two months and the agent told me if I get to Canada that he has someone over there that will help me look for job but I read about it and notice it's not that easy, please is there anything I can do to get a long stay when I get to Canada apart from the asylum route
Have you read up on express entry? PNP? Please do read up and see if you qualify. Don’t rely on the information of the agent of devil.
Relocating on a visit visa is not as easy as agent of demons make it seem, the suffer head will be too much. Think twice about this.

Hey 🤠

I don't have any multiple name because that's the only karaoke of all of you in order to perpetrate your conspiracy and call out @justwise to block me.

@justwise himself or any other competent person on Nairaland IT knows that this is the only i . Understanding of English usage or grammar is your problem... When you say multiple name then you mean i can to 5 s at the same time . Ask @justwise when did those s last . They have been banned or locked as a result of your conspiracies, Therefore , THIS IS MY ONLY .

1. For having a US visa or having been to the US before i will not reply you on that . Your minds should keep beating all of you , i don't have to flex any unnecessary travel histories with anyone of you .

2. Besides , having been to US or travel all over the world is not a qualification for you to know about travel or visa processing procedures . If you have traveled on B1/B2 before that does not make you an expert in K1 of F1 visa . Most of you are quick to brag about travel histories and to me an empty barrel make the most noise .

3. My first F1 visa to the US was gotten via Cabrillo College , and I currently have a valid B1 visa and not to even talk about my blood relatives who re US residents .

4. Call out anyone on Nairaland who i have personally done physical mock interview for . I am challenging you on that . I don't have any group, i don't have any whatsap or whatever online platforms . Your fears is that you are always dejected anytime i respond to a question which most of you must have gambled on.

5. I will keep using the style of @Newboykhashoggi to post or respond to questions , i have the brain or the wisdom to change writing pattern but am not gonna do that. ***. I am only using Nairaland as a recreational activity.

Best Wishes 🙏

** @justwise , please announce it on Nairaland if there is anyone who have any group i created or if there is anyone i have done mock interview for . If you see 2 people who can confirm with open evidence please ban me.

Hey 🤠

Even Mr Seun or @justwise knows the meaning of name calling . I don't even think that you understand the grammar you are typing . Where is name calling in what i wrote ? Was there an ethnic or religious mention there ?

If i say Debieeeee is lazy , then that's an insult to you and not name calling . But if i say Debieeeee is giving a lazy advice , that's not an insult and it's not name calling but you only like pointing out my piece on Nairaland when you don't really have anything to do as a result natural hatred for my style of writing.

You tagging me with another monicker without genuine evidence is the name calling that can put you into problem . Even did @Newboykashoggi offended you ? Tell us what he did to you ?

Best Wishes 🙏
I don't hate your writing style. In fact, I like it because it reveals your character. The problem lies in the way you give advice. You always shove it down everyone's throat and any contrary advice other than what you've given is lazy, wrong, braggart and it's an offence to you 🤣. Actually, you make this thread lively because I always laugh when I read a piece from you.

Hey 🤠

@debieeeeeeee or whatever , you are the one doing the name calling by tagging me NewboyKhashoggi . Stop fanning the flame of resentment on Nairaland and look for tangible time to research solutions to people's problem on Nairaland .

1. I did not mention any name in my advice and my advice is totally different from the previous ones . Someone advised the OP to disregard the mistake after talking about (unecessary) his own business appointment in the USA.

2. You too have ed the same mistake by saying travel itinerary or dates is not important on DS 160.

3. Both of you have forgotten that the 1st thing the VO does on the interview day is to open your DS 160 and he or she is expecting stress -free information because you have less than 15 minutes . How will a responsible principal not correct the mistake he has realized on his dependents DS 160 ? This is why on the DS form they ask you ;. DID YOU FILL THIS FORM YOURSELF ? *** In order to hold you responsible for the outcome .

@Debieeeeeeee stop twisting my responses on Nairaland . Go and use your time in updating yourself and focus on uniting all Nairalanders . You are dividing people stylishly and causing animosity on Nairaland .

Best Wishes 🙏

Lol 😂 you've started again and I don't have your time today. Everyone knows your multiple names forget it we left that phase already we let you be. If nairalanders like make dem no unite wetin concern me 😩.
You're the one saying someone is offering lazy and braggart advice you are the same person who is saying don't cause troubles after you have thrown certain words around. There's a reaction to every statement either good or bad.

Hey 🤠

I disagree with you . The visa officer or consular will determine your duration of stay by the departure and arrival dates you filled in your DS 1-60 especially on B1/B2 visiting visas which you re expected to stay for a short time and return to your country .

*** Can i also tell you this ? If you deliberately leave that section (arrival & departure /travel plans) blank or unfilled it would be counted as a trick to the VO. That section tells the VO your (mind) duration of stay . You must indicate your travel plans (arrival and departure ) if you are genuine traveler and you know what you want to go and do in America . Omitting that section is like a business man who doesn't wear a wristwatch .

Best Wishes 🙏
The last time I filled out a DS-160, there was no provision for a departure date. Instead, there was only an option to provide an estimated arrival day. Additionally, there was a section where I could specify how long I intended to stay in the USA.
Have you forgotten that plans change?

You too best wishes

By the way, unless you're attending a time-sensitive function, by experience visa officers don't usually care about the exact dates of your travel. Instead, they usually ask about your destination city & state, reason for travel, occupation, income, marital status, whether you have children, the duration of your stay, and any other relevant information that may pique their interest. Wishing
anyone waiting for their interview all the best!

Hey 🤠

** Don't listen to lazy or braggart advice .

Filling DS 160 form accurately and with updated information (including travel itinerary) has a lot to do with your visa issuance because the consular decide your visa based on what you wrote on each person's DS 160.

** Omitting that important error (not correcting the travel dates on each family member/dependent DS 160) makes you an irresponsible principal applicant .

1. If you have already booked a visa appointment and need to update the DS-160 confirmation number for a dependent, you should the embassy or consulate where you have booked the appointment and explain the situation.

2. They may be able to update the information for you, or they may require you to cancel the appointment and rebook it with the correct information.

3. It's important to ensure that all information provided on the DS-160 form is accurate and up-to-date, as this can impact your visa application process. CALL THE CGI CENTER .

Best Wishes 🙏
Dear Newboykashoggi,

I understand that you have a different opinion on how things should be done. However, it is important to that everyone's opinion is valid. Even though 2+2 always equals 4 and 1+3 also equals 4, it does not mean that one person's opinion is better than another's.

We should avoid name-calling and negative comments in this faceless forum. No one is here to brag or offer lazy advice. Instead, we should focus on building meaningful relationships and making positive changes. It is best to offer advice based on personal experiences and opinions.

Let's refrain from duplicating advice and crowding the thread. If you don't have anything new to add, it's best to stay silent.

I have met some amazing people on Nairaland, and I hope we can continue to build a positive community.

Best regards.

The day keep changing right? Or it’s statistic? For instance, Lagos can be a month at some point?
Yes, it changes and It varies based on the current situation or workload per location. The number of days can range from over 200 to just 26 days or lesser.

These are the earliest available appointment dates for each of the categories listed. The number of days you need to wait for your appointment day is also listed.

When it comes to canada immigration, vo works with currency rate as at when an application was submitted
It's common for those applying for Permanent Residency (PR) to receive an ADR (Additional Document Request) for their proof of funds if the rates have changed. However, if they are working with the rate of submission date, why do they send people ADRs to update their proof of funds?

Your visa application cannot be adjudicated based on a USC that isn't your immediate family (defined as child, spouse or parent by USCIS/State.Gov). There is no way to list her to "strengthen" your application.
Apart from your hesitation in reapplying, I think you stand a REALLY-VERY-GOOD-EXCELLENT chance of getting approved with all the other things going on for you after your 3rd refusal. Just make sure your business and income situation is above and beyond. Add you husband's income (convert to NGN) to the family yearly income in your DS160.
Can you also clarify your brother in the US is the parent of the niece with you or another of your sibling? Minors and others (sick or special needs) can travel unaccompanied with airlines. The VO can reason along this path...
WRT getting EAs, there are clearly define reasons for using it. Accompanying your niece won't exactly fit any of the moulds.
Summer is here, start hunting for dates by checking 3 times a day - everyday. Or paying others to do it for you.
WRT your 16 yrs old help, don't even bother. She is already an adult by US standards and should be in school or working (which makes her responsible for her visa and travel needs). She has no reason to return to NG with you. She will be seen likely to "run away". She is not an immediate family member or a distant relative - confirm this assumption. It's unfortunate, but it's a call you have to make. I had to make such a call Nov last year. The only nanny we used for 13 years was left behind when my family left NG Dec last year. We set her up financially.
I’m aware of a couple of family and friends who have obtained visas for their Nannie’s and house-helps and I’m also about to take that route I’m presently asking questions from those who did it and I’ve been doing a lot of online reading regarding that. Also during my interview in 2021 at the Lagos embassy I witnessed a domestic employee issued a visa.
But it’s best for the lady in question to secure her own visa first before bringing the domestic employee into the mix.
Cheers!

Hello everyone, please I want to seek guidance on a matter...
I attempted an F1 visa in June 2022, which unfortunately resulted in a denial. Currently, I am reapplying B1B2 visa.
I am interested in understanding if there would be any complications at the embassy.

Have gotten my visa fee since October 2023, still unable to get interview date till date...

Also, can I apply for Emergency date and what tangible reason do y'all think should be my reason for applying for an emergency interview date which won't result to a denial ?

I will be looking forward to your responses.
Thank you in advance 🙏
If you don’t have any good reason(s) for using emergency appointment then don’t bother using it just pick the date you see or keep checking thrice a day , groups or find someone to get you a date . F&B visas are non immigrant visas and the threshold for qualification for both is for you to return to your country after your study and visit plus other markers known to the V.O interviewing you.

I graduated from a master's program in the US in May 2023, traveled back to Nigeria and my visa expired last August. Now I want to go back for the same program in a different school at PhD level in Fall of 2024. Since my visa expired not up to 24 months, do I need to apply for an interview or I qualify for a Dropbox? Thank you so much for your anticipated response.

When scheduling an appointment, you will be asked if you have held an F, M, or J visa in the last 48 months. If you answer yes, you will be directed to the next option to determine if you qualify for Dropbox. In most cases, you will be eligible for Dropbox.

You're right. They're very unpredictable. We should just keep praying for God's favour each time cos some of them have skanskan for head. I pray each time I'm having a visa appointment with them cos at times, they can misbehave. Being frequently travelled and well prepared aren't enough.

Sorry for sounding religous but it's helped me 100% of the time. I when I got over 2 years multiple German schengen visit visa and my friends were asking me if I was going for studies. It's quite rare
I also believe in the God factor for these things and also preparedness. God help us all.

Your case might be different . Maybe they mistook you for one of those who abused B1/B2 to go give birth. My point is valid dear. Otherwise, they'd not have been asking you questions about giving birth. They have a long list of them back then grin.

I know of 2 people who were affected. Till now, one of them keeps getting rejected. She's applied like twice now. She gave birth twice, using the B1/B2 visa within 2 years of visa validity and i warhed her husband. They turned deaf ear. Her intention for traveling when she renewed her visa was vacation and she indicated this on her DS160
It's funny how they did some right and wrong profiling of people. One of my colleagues was affected as she reapplied twice but was refused both times. She went for a third time and was finally granted the visa. Some of my other colleagues were also affected and they still haven't received their visas. As for me, I was called for an interview because they thought I had given birth during a certain period, but to their disappointment, I didn't have a baby during that time. As a result, I was granted the visa. While your points are very valid, I'm still upset that I was wrongly profiled 😂😂 because it took me three attempts to get an interview date, On the first attempt port was returned, second attempt appointment was moved due to elections, and the third one same again final one was in March and by then I was tired of being rescheduled.
However, I had a baby last year and was able to renew my visa with ease when I returned to Nigeria. I also declared it at the border and used the visa four times within two years, even though it was originally granted for a holiday in 2021.

I don't know why people lie about this. If you have been refused a visa before, why lie about it.
The number one reason for most visa refusal is LIES.
You think they won't find out you've been denied visa?
Pray that they probably take it that you were under aged then.
They'll most likely ask you this again in your interview, Tell them your mum once applied for you 15 years ago. Only answer if you are asked. Don't go telling them you made a mistake without being asked.
Good luck
Why are you so quick to cast an aspersion on someone's character on a faceless forum? This individual says he was in high school maybe junior high and truly he or she may have forgotten. Please let's grant people grace and learn to cut people some slack on this forum. It's not hard to spot a lie and a liar when you see one.

Guys please I have a question. I have a US interview this month in Nigeria. I’m married to a UK citizen and I have a UK P.R. I filled my form that I’ve never been refused a U.S visa and I just realized today that I have. In 2007, my mom applied for me and I didn’t even . I was in secondary school then so I didn’t even know. Since it’s over 15 years, will the record still be in their system.
Fill out another form and update your profile with the information accordingly. Do all these at least a week before your appointment to be safe, although they say 72 hours before your appointment but it doesn't hurt to be prompt.

I read so many stories online about how hard Lagos can be, but I guess I was just favoured. I mean, it's my first application, I'm single, no kids, and I'm a young guy in his twenties.

But my reason for the visit was very compelling, plus I have good reasons to come back.
I've always maintained that Lagos or Abuja if you’re meant to get the visa you will get it and with ease. Congratulations again brother!
