Thank you for your reply. Do you mean the car park because it seems all travelers are directed to the car park now?

This is not intractable unlike the first one you posted

The number in circle raised to the power of the number above it, then the result is multiplied with the next number
i.e 4 ** 2 = 16, 16 * 3 = 48
1 ** 2 = 1, 1 * 3 = 3
5 ** 1 = 5, 5 * 4 = 20.

I posted my transcript about F2 visa rejection in Lagos a couple of weeks ago. I decided to reapply immediately, and I was able to get a date in Abuja. The screening process was quite long and tedious compared to Lagos. Also, my baby was a bit restless, so I kept moving back and it took a while for my turn. This is the transcript of the interview as I can it;

VO: Good afternoon.

Me: Good afternoon Ma.

VO: me your port.

I gave her our ports and I-20s. She took her time to go through the I-20 and typed for a while.

VO: Where is husband studying?

Me: He is studying Molecular Biology in the University of ABC.

VO: How long have you been married?

Me: We have been married for 4 years it will be 5 years in a few months.

VO: How many children do you have?

Me: We have one child.

VO: Has he visited since he left?

Me: Yes, he visited us in August of last year.

VO: I can see that there is a shortfall in the living expenses on the I-20, how do you pay the rest?

Me: My husband has full funding and we have some personal savings.

She excused herself and left the cubicle with the port and I-20 for about 5 minutes. While she was away, I was worried that maybe she was not convinced about the funding. Therefore, when she came back, I quickly said;

Me: I have the funding letter from his school here, would you like to see it?

VO: That wouldn’t be necessary (while smiling).

VO: Was he working before he left for the United States?

Me: He was working as a lecturer, and he is currently on study leave.

VO: What will you be doing in the U.S?

Me: I will be busy raising my child as well as providing physical and emotional for my husband.

VO: Have you traveled before?

Me: No, I have not had a reason to travel.

VO: Do you or your husband have any relatives in the United States?

No: We don’t have any relatives in the U.S.

VO: I will be approving your visa. Please excuse me I need to get a document for you.

Me: Thank you Ma. (I few tears of joy rolled down from my eyes.)

She left and came back with a document containing instruction for student visa applicants stating that students are only allowed to enter U.S 30 days before the start of the program and not after the start date on the I-20. It also contains a reminder to take along and present I-20 at the port of entry.

I give all praises and thanks to Almighty Allah. I prayed fervently, did several mock interviews, and prepared written answers to likely questions. I big thank you to everyone on this thread. I learned a lot from here. By the way, I use full hijab that covers me from head to toe. I hope this will encourage and be useful for someone.

Hello everyone. I had my F-2 interview at Lagos Consulate on the 28th of January with my child and below is the transcript of what transpired.
VO: your port. I obliged.
VO: Which school is your husband studying.
Me: The University of “the state” in “city”.
VO: What is his program?
Me: PhD program
VO: When did he leave?
Me: He left on date, month, 2017.
VO: When did you get married?
Me: Mentioned date, month, 2014.
VO: How many children you do have?
Me: We have only one child and he is here with me.
VO: When will he finish his program.?
Me: I quickly used my hand to count and replied 2021/2022 because I know his PhD will take 4 to 5 years.
VO: How many years will you spend in the United States?
Me: I will like to be with my husband because it has been difficult since he left, my……
She cut me off, said sorry you are not qualified at this time and gave me rejection paper.
Note that the VO didn’t request for my I-20 and didn’t look at it. She didn’t ask for any other document. In fact, she wasn’t looking at me throughout the interview but was just typing. I would have liked to ask her why she denied me but it only came to my mind after I left.
Please help me scrutinize the transcript and suggest what I can do better. The denial has really been difficult for me to take. I do plan to reapply immediately and any suggestion will be useful. Thank you.
