Very hard to say but let me narrate my own experience.

I resigned a six figures job for PTDF MSc overseas scholarship in the UK. The course was directly related to my discipline. Even though I met a lot of opposition to my decision to quit the job for masters, I still did because I knew that that was very much what I wanted. I was very much interested in the course and cared less if I had to struggle in the job market again...I even posted my dilemma here on naira land with a different moniker and most nairalanders adviced me against the msc except those that had gone abroad before

Thank God I didn’t listen to those telling me to continue with my job at that time.

On returning, I spent a year at home but within that period, I got three job offers. The one I eventually took pays roughly four times my previous job, plus Job security, oppotunities to travel out and other beautiful incentives.
