Entry porch, ante-room, lounge, bar, visitors toilet, dinning, kitchen/store, bedroom 1 & 2(ensiute with closet), masters bedroom (ensuite with walk-in closet)

Pent floor

This might be what I like best. But did u mean 3bedroom bungalow (not duplex) with penthouse? Can you use the external design on the 4bedroom bungalow penthouse for it too? If I were to build the carcass (till aluminium step tiles) of this 3bed bung with penthouse in 2 stages, how much will I need in total?

Recently there have been a lot of competition and upgrades amongst these networks in both data plans and call tariff plans. First on tariff was Etisalat with Eti easy life 4.0. Then mtn seeing the plan as a threat quickly followed suite.
With all this changes, i think its time you stop making calls at exorbitant rates that even my billionaire grand pa will object to lols. I Decided to write this after realising MTN zone plan now selects sims to call which is almost as good as blocked.
As at the time of writing this post, below are the cheapest Tariff plans from the four most used networks here in Nigeria. So you can compare and pick out the one which suites your daily budget, business or call habit/pattern.
Cheapest Tariff On Etisalat

For Etisalat, the cheapest tariff plan is no other than the newly launched Etisalat Easylife 4.0 package. which comprises of:

==>Calls at 11k/Sec to all network in Nigeria.
==>Calls at 20k/sec to 4
international destinations (UK landlines, US, China, India).
==>₦5 daily access fee which
will be deducted once you make your 1st voice call of the day.
==>With this, a minute call will amount to N6.6 only.
Subscription Code?
Dial *420*1#. After which you dial *244*3# to Confirm/check it.

Cheapest Tariff On MTN

Update: Mtn has done their worse and increased Truetalk+ call rates to 20k/s so its currently no where near the cheapest call plan.
As for MTN, the new MTN Truetalk+ is your best bet. Its an upgrade of the previous MTN Truetalk plan. The plan offers:
==>Calls to all network in Nigeria at 11 kobo per second and 20kobo per secs to UK, USA, India, Canada and China with a daily access fee of N5 once you make your first call of the day.
==>With this, a minute call will amount to N6.6 only.

How To Subscribe To TrueTalk+?
==>dial *123*20#

Cheapest Tariff Plan On Airtel

On Airtel, just give it up for the new Airtel SmartTalk plan which more or less offers same rate with Eti easylife 4.0 above. Details include:
==>Calls to all networks in Nigeria at 11 kobo per second (from the very
1st second) with a daily access fee of ₦5 charged once you make your first call of the day.
==>International calls at 20k per second to USA, Canada, China,
India and UK Landline.
==>With this, a minute call will amount to N6.6 only.

How To Subscribe To SmartTALK?
Just Dial *315# to migrate or send Yes via text to 315

Cheapest Tariff Plan On Glo

After reviewing all the tariff plan by glo, the cheapest still remains Glo Gbam Plus.
All with similar call tariff plan of 11K/sec to all networks after a daily access fee of N5.
Glo Gbam + (Plus)is Glo latest and cheapest call tariff plan that offers all prepaid Glo subscribers the ability to make calls to all networks at 11K/sec after a daily access fee of N5.
And you should note that the N5 is deducted only on days you make chargeable call, therefore you will not be charged the N5 daily access on days that you do not make any call.
With the Glo Gbam + (Plus) you can also call 5 international destinations of US, UK, China, India and Canada at a flat rate of 20k/sec and local and international SMS rates are charged at N4 and N10 respectively.

To migrate to Glo Gbam Plus, simply dial *100*6*1# with your Glo line and start enjoying the amazing call rates of 11K/sec to all networks.
You should also note that this is quite different from your normal Glo Gbam where you get 5mb daily and N5 daily access is deducted daily with or without you making call.
Now with the new Gbam Plus plan, you no longer get the daily 5mb.

Now I believe this is the time where you now make call without minding the network that you are calling and without constantly checking your balance after every call because it is really getting cheaper by the day.

Thanks for viewing this.

Pls why didn't you mention that migrating to Glo gbam plus attracts a fee of 100N? Is that applicable to others?
Please list the corresponding fees for all networks when migrating. Thanks

Hajji M,

I have read where all our expert Builders (almost everyone of them) have pasted on their construction projects.. "Now we are into Screeding stage".

How come none of them can answer the question the gentle man asked?
I am trying to provoke someone to answer the question, though.

I have never done (that is if l even know) this thing they call "Screeding" in any of my builds but l do know that we use 'white chalk' (Efun, white plaster or what ever name you wish to call it) to paint the wall first, to allow the final colour to stand out. undecided

That is an age-old tradition ..... but this "Screeding" term got me all confused so, l need help there too.

@lastpage I am really shocked that every one dey bone that question. My worry is that the burning statement came from someone I know is quite involved in building...but the beauty and smoothness of it entices me.

Great thread guys... I have 2 serious questions.
1. There is a major gist going around that the cement used in wall screeding "burns" after some years". How true is this?

2. I intend to build a small lowcost duplex within three years. While following spyder's thread I feel he will achieve his with about 6m after roofing. My question is that I intend to go in 3 stages of 2m each. How do I break the stages or do I start with purchase of blocks and rods with the first 2m?

Great day guys

Abeg make una answer my questions nau... @Hajji and co

spyder880:

Lets not jump the gun na cheesy we are still on a journey to know what the final costs will be. I pray it will not climb to N6m, although my village people might refuse to give me that cheiftancy title if I don't hang stone coated roofing tiles on this building, my in laws might even get annoyed and withdraw their daughter from my house (joking) cheesy cheesy

The point I am trying to make is that the final cost is not clear to me now, and when it becomes clear, should I build your house with exact cost as my own, who will pay my service charges for supervision? Or should I also do yours for free as I am doing this one? grin

I get four hungry kids who must eat and go to school o grin

Oga Spyder ofcourse supervision go dey now...what I meant is dat will labor and materials get me to this level u have achieved.
Abeg answer question 2.

Good work Spider...hugely impressed.

I do have some questions for u and other experienced guys in the house.

From what I see you might spend about 6m after roofing (just a guess)

My questions...
1. If I give u 6m will u build the same (minor adjustments) 4 me here in Enugu or Orlu (both lands are flat and dry?
2. I intend building in 3 stages of 2m each over 2years...max. How do u advice the stages should go? Or do I stock materials with the first batch of 2m?

To show that I don't only read ur posts (and those of others) I have just purchased a land and nearly completed fencing in d villa.

Thank God I know what nairaland property section is. You guys are really encouraging.

Greetings Spyder....u will most likely be involved in my project one way or the way other since I reside in Enugu. But if I may ask...the labor for land excavation had 956N in it. How did u get labor cost? By land size?

But why do politicians make unsubstantiated claims all the time and get away with it in this country? This is a serious claim and I am sure apc will only counter it with words and not a case of libel...I pity my country.
