Can anyone tell me why businesses spring up in Nigeria. Begins to bloom and blossom and give it 10 to 20 years. It fizzles out.
I have been thinking about this
Mr Biggs- Gone.
KFC almost Dead.
SFC -Dead
Savanna Chum chum- Dead
Countless businesses in all sectors. Start and never exceeds 2 to 3 decades.
Only few musicians last 15 years actively in the scene and they fade. Why can't they write and keep pushing out music. Even if they can't write. People hire writers. What is wrong with Naija.
The same time English people built their rail ways was when they built the ones they left in Nigeria. 30 years after they left. rail way died. efforts to resuscitate it has taken ages.
What is wrong with our Country?

Whatever a government does to keep a city clean, it largely depends on the people to make it work.
We're so dirty on the inside and outside that we dump things everywhere.
How can you see a neat road and dump takeaway plate from a moving vehicle? Nigerians are dirty, too.

XtraFortunes: I agree with him. I almost lost my life during my NYSC in the north. The driver and another enger died on the spot. I will never forget that day in my life. I thank God I am alive today
These two organizations are time wasters of Nigerian youth. One will stay at home for years writing Jamb, while those who know road and have long keg have entered school, same with NYSC waiting to be mobilized and wasting one year serving.
Meanwhile abroad at 25 most people who want to go to school have graduated and are working and usually married, their counterpart in Nigeria are still writing Jamb and trying to go for NYSC.
So you see your age mates abroad retire early and starts traveling the world on Vacation while in Nigeria at 40 people are still claiming youth. These are because of these Jamb and NYSC delays
Leave NYSC for people that want to participate in it. If people don't go to collect that "alawee", what would they do?
You talked of almost losing your life, everyone that died did so because NYSC? No any other cause? Even in your community, things don't happen - they happen only because of NYSC.
People achieved things from NYSC. Made friends that changed their lives, people got their life partner from there, but it's the negative you people .

But Mujica always rejected that title: "They say I'm the poorest president. No, I'm not," he told me in a 2012 interview at his home. "Poor are those who want more [...] because they're in an endless race."
I watched this interview then when it was aired on aljazeera or BBC then. This quote has stuck and been my biggest takeaway.
Such a great man.

Best way to fix the liquidity issue in the sector is for Nigerians, rich and poor, to realize that electricity is expensive and to pay whatever price your disco sets , not the price the disco is forced by the government to set.
That is the only way to get power fixed. It is the only way to attract investment to the sector because no investor will come when roi is not guaranteed
Many of us owe NEPA (lol), many of us by meters, many of us pay below the cost of power , and we expect the sector to be rolling in profit? You expect them to give you 24 hour a day power when you don't pay the bills?
Ok. O.
Yes , there were countries with free power,.who at the end were taking loans to keep the power free. Lol.
If you want an idea of our power issues, Google for the Pwc report: solving the liquidity crunch in the power sector. Very informative.
And if you abuse me, mods will hear. Be polite. I did not abuse you
You're in the electricity sector? You're speaking for them. Nigerians can't pay for electricity. They have been so impoverished that they can't pay for anything.

Atiku knew what he did to OBJ in their first tenure when he was in control of PDP structure. He knew WIKE had similar power that needed to be nipped. So,he went for a docile government of an oil rich state like rivers that can sponsor his campaign
I wonder who will sponsor his campaign in 2027,may be DIRI of bayelsa state!
Then you can cut him to size after winning. Okowa was a terrible choice. Diri would because Diri don't like Wike.

They're coming to the point we were making then.
Atiku was senseless to have picked Okowa thinking he had any political might.
Okowa underperformed as a governor, he's not popular and was not a force, but Atiku wanted a docile VP.
Imagine picking Wike as running-mate - he'd have had full of the 5 governors and that would have added to his numbers.
He knew Wike was performing, he was spending on PDP, even though he lost the ticket, he should have been chosen, but they went for that Akuya.
He should have let Ayu go and picked Wike. The moment Okowa's name popped up, I knew Atiku has lost the election cos Wike would fight him from within and that cost him.
Once you knew peter Obi was out, keeping wike close was his best shot.
You see how APC is using him to show PDP how he should be used - he's a big political asset.

To Doctors In The House.
I am a Covenant University graduate. Some years ago during my 200L I enrolled for a course themed "CHM212: Physical Chemistry". After the semester end, half of the class failed the course miserably. So we retook the course in 300 Level as a "carryover", then I failed this course again. Then in 400L I enrolled for this course again.
This time around I read severely for the course because a failure would amount to an extra year. But when I got to the exam hall and opened the questions, much of it looked like Arabic to me. I couldn't even make sense of what the question was talk more of what the answers could be. Beyond writing my name, I could only attempt a few questions.
Looking around I could see how the 200 level Chemistry students where flipping papers. I could only curse my own department for making us enroll to Chemistry courses that were of little relevance to my department. To make things worse, some of these 200 level students where requesting for extra papers and I was wondering why anyone would need extra papers.
From afar it was clear that my 400L class mates also retaking the course where equally in disarray. One was sweating under AC, the other had that look - you know that look of a clueless person who was certain of failure and the last was making unsuccessful attempts to 'giraffe' another student. Some minutes later, some people started submitting scripts, then the principal supervisor declared 10 minutes more for the rest of us.
The moment she made that declaration, it was as though the reality of an extra year came blaring at my face. I could feel tension surging down my body from neck down and then my muscles contracted. Two seconds before, I was now certain I was going to have an ejaculation. I immediately held my head and pretended as though I was having a painful headache as one or two people looked my way wondering why I had a 'squirting face' and was in apparent discomfort.
After the ejaculation I felt peace of mind. So I immediately stood up and dashed towards the exit with my almost blank papers in hand covering my groin. I submitted and ran back to my hostel room before anyone could notice any wet spurt on my tros. I changed over and ran back to Chapel begging God for even a D so I can graduate.
Glory to God, when the results came out I had a D - which is the minimum grade you could evade a carryover/extra year at CU.
But till today I wonder why and how I could have had that disgustingly embarrassing experience. I would be grateful if Doctors or Biologist could explain why such a thing would happen to me at an examination. I would like to know if anyone has experienced anything remotely close to that. Thank you for your time
π π π
In fact, you had "physical chemistry" while taking physical chemistry exam. I can't stop laughing.
There's this my guy that once told me that, he was riding a bicycle for a long distance, his feet got tired and stiff, he fell from the bicycle and ejaculated. I found that strange. Now i'm seeing this story.
You guys are strange!

I said it. Atiku sacrificed his victory by picking this airhead as his running-mate and Ayu as party chairman.
If he had picked Wike, those 5 governors would have stayed and he'd have won in those places. The choice of Okowa was a terrible one. Okowa wasn't even a performing governor - he did terribly bad. Wike even did well and was the one funding the party. No matter what they see him to be, he's the best they could have chosen then.
Now APC is using him to prove what they missed. He's the only one holding PDP down.
