I'm not saving anything. It's Chuwi Larkbox which I've been using for smart TV for over 10years now. Not using it to save anything other than to watch IPTV for free.

If it will pack up, it would have done so considering the rough usage it has seen in over 10years...not to mention all the Big-bang-bros, Cummination and other illegal Super-repositories on it.

It has actually worked it's money and it's still working superbly despite the blue screen coming up whenever it's abruptly or improperly shut down.

chuwi boxes uses eMMC and not hdd or ssd... meaning a BSOD can't really be a symtom of a fault that will affect your storage device... in this case its either issues with your bootloader, filesystem or similar... and the fact that it hasn't shut you out does'nt mean it wont. one day you'll wake up to much bigger issue resulting from this frequent neglect of this.


by "saving" i mean you should be saving money to get a UPS

this will run a total update on your machine.. including all the security updates,.... do this on a regular basis(daily) or simply set it to check and install update automatically.

I don't deliberately not shut down properly.....Sometimes, blackout from the electricity board abruptly switch off the system. And when next I power on the system, I get that screen which will require several "on and off" from the button to get out of it.

reason your should use a UPS... When a force shutdown happens the filesystem is left in an uncertain state, which can lead to file system damage upon restarting. this causes files curruption and many more ugly stuffs to the hdd.

try make you buy ups.. or just be saving small small on piggyvest for a new hdd(ssd)

this is symtom of a lot of issues.. especially related to your motherboard, caused mostly from bad voltage supply(your charger).. you'll need a technician to be able to pin point the fault..

however you can try a quick fix
1. remove your battery, press and hold the power button for about 10 secs plug in the charger with no battery and power it on..(use a multimeter to read the charger and ensure its supplying around 18v-19v..

2. re-sit your ram.
3. try an external display to make certain its not your screen.

I'm not a tech person. And I did say that's what I noticed and do with my PC whenever it comes up with that screen. And this happens on my screen like almost everytime I fail to shut down the system properly.

well... its your hard disk dying slowly.. the force shutdown is just triggering the symptoms(blue screen of death)

You will need to restart it several times to get out of that screen. Then a different screen will come up at a point with two options to select. (I can't recall those two options on top my head). But in any case, one of the options will take you to your normal home/desktop page while the other will keep coming back to this your current screen. Once you try the first option and it takes you back to this present screen, then you will know that the other option is what I'm referring to.

Now back to your question, why is your PC showing that?
What I've noticed is that when the system is not properly shutdown, that screen always comes up on my PC.
So always shut down your PC correctly from the screen and not from the power off push-button or from the socket.

you indentified a crucial point but failed to point out the cause correctly.... a "force-shutdown" as it's called can not cause this bro.. nevertheless, its a good advice to always shut down the right way.

just as so many Ogas here mentioned its the "blue screen of death" and woe onto you if it also makes the click of death. however this problem isnt only limited to a dying hard disk.. most issues regarding the originality of you os, corrupted bootloader. and many more OS related issue can also triger this...

solution: simply install a new operating system(try to ensure its compatible with the architect of your system) if issue persists.. you might have to change your hdd... as it will be hard for you to tell if its the OS or the drive rn.

If you have important files, you can slave the hdd on another pc and copy out your files before you reload the OS

To avoid future occurrence:
Perform system update regularly
Use trusted antivirus
drivers, files and softwares from reputable n trusted sites

However femi, he wont lose his files if he installs another OS... windows has the ability to put all your older files in a folder called "windows old" somewhere in the drive C: files like: documents,(pdfs, docs, xls etc) folders, videos, musics will all still be retained. however he'll lose any installed software, app etc...

thanks guys for all your imputes.. i lost one chick today after i have isolated her... it was so painful..

after i isolated her, i didnt give her a proper supervision.. it was lately that i realised she wasn't eating nor drinking the water/medication i had kept for her.. when i found out, i immediately used string to ister the medicine and also food.. however, she had already lost strenght and wasn't able to heal anymore.. she ed away .

i again noticed another reddish stool again.. i have also isolated the victim/ cleaned their coup and started thorough medication on the rest..
the patient have started receiving proper care and maximum supervision..

i istered a mix

1 tablet of ciprofloxacin
1 tablet of wormin
1 paracetamol( she was feeling fiverish)
cough tylosine
coccidial stop..

i granded and mixed these in water, used a syringe and chuk am inside him throat( so that she no go fit vormit am ) .. i did this in the morning. and thank God this evening he poo started coming back to normal.. its going to ister another dose of same medicine to her this night before they sleep. sill post pics later

its only pure water i've been giving them.. though they havnt taken it only since i bought them.. first and second day they took water and ginger mix.. third and fouth day(today) they are taken the Tylosin.

just five of them i bought from the market..
on the third day they started having cough and a running nose... i gave garlic/ginger mix in water to boost their immune sys. then yesterday i stopped the garlic mix and bought cough Tylosine they just started taking the cough tylo just yesterday.. and this morning i woke up to brown/reddish poo..

i'm really worried. thinking its coccidiosis. guy pls how can i remedy this
