Kids born yesterday will say he the best president During his tenure. NLC went on strike numerous time ASSU went on strike numerous time Governors were impeached by his order Governor were suspended and SOE declared. A sitting governor was kidnapped by his order Fuel price was increased multiple time Political opponents were jailed and killed. He was the Alpha and omega....he determines who becomes Governor, senator, HOP . Still yet some people from one region will say he is the best president in Nigeria so far. Those one of us who were no longer kids knew how Nigeria was in 1999-2007 and it wasn't good. This man didn't construct any major road in the south for good 8yrs. |

The chairman of the Trade Union Congress has criticized former President Olusegun Obasanjo, stating that his istration performed below those of Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Tinubu in of workers' welfare, particularly regarding the minimum wage. Speaking in a video shared by SYMFONI, the TUC chairman challenged Obasanjo’s recent remarks on the need for a living wage in Nigeria, questioning the former president’s own track record on the matter. He pointed out that during Obasanjo’s tenure from 1999 to 2007, Nigerian workers did not enjoy a living wage. "Former president Obasanjo talked about the fact that the last minimum wage should have been a living wage. That it is not a living wage that we negotiated. We looked at the person. I mean, Obasanjo was telling us about a living wage, but President Obasanjo was the president in Nigeria between 1999 to 2007. Let's even leave the first one. Within this period, what was Nigeria’s minimum wage? Did we have a living wage within this period? The answer clearly is no," he said. The TUC chairman highlighted that in 1999, under Obasanjo, the minimum wage was just ₦3,500, and while it was increased to ₦5,500 in 2000, it remained stagnant for seven years until he left office in 2007. He compared this to the economic realities of the time, noting that the exchange rate was between ₦120 and ₦140 per dollar, meaning the minimum wage was barely $40. He further pointed out that despite Nigeria securing debt forgiveness during Obasanjo’s istration which reduced the burden of external debt servicing, the government still failed to review workers’ wages for several years. The remarks have sparked debate, with many questioning Obasanjo’s moral standing to criticize recent istrations on labor issues. https://news-af.feednews.com/news/detail/1754c179ece8546573a1add4ed5b59cd?client=news Mydn44 fergie001

We are using almost a replica of US constitution. You see how Trump is just g executive order almost of everyday unchallenged and going after his perceive enemies. Nigeria president can also do same and heaven won't fall. That state of emergency in rivers will stand for 6month and no one can do anything about it. The 1999 constitution is evil and not democratic at all. Who to blame for all this?? Blame Obasanjo and abulsalami. Those men cos of greed and dictatorship lifestyle gave us a wicked constitution. The 1999 constitution is more military than democratic. If you want Nigeria to change let go to foundation and get rid of that 1999 constitution. |
