A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to express her concerns about the changing attitudes of men in today’s society. According to her, there was a time when, if you went to a restaurant to buy food, a man would approach and offer to pay for everything.

She added that back then, even men who didn’t know you at all would walk up to you at a shopping mall, offer to shop for you, and even carry your basket around the store. But nowadays, she says, men no longer do such things — instead, they simply wait for you outside.

She also recalled how, in the past, men would often stop their cars to offer women a lift upon seeing them by the roadside. But today, she claims, such gestures of kindness have become rare.

She went on to lament how much things have changed in the country, reminiscing about 10 to 12 years ago when men were more willing to help women and showed genuine care.

Watch the full video to hear her heartfelt thoughts and personal experiences on this shift in male behavior.

Anyways, Nairaland is not a place to discuss your plans. If you have your evidence, go and arrest the guy. Shikina.

I know that s can buy an extra battery. I am only saying that the extra battery can only be used as a backup battery to charge up the main Ecoflow system when it is low. You cannot connect the extra battery to the battery of the main Ecoflow system to increase the capacity from say 1280wh to 2560wh. You also cannot use the extra battery in itself as you will still need an inverter at the very minimum. You also cannot upgrade the inverter capacity of the Ecoflow system without having to buy a new Ecoflow system altogether. Those are the ideas around upgradeability of a renewable energy system

The extra battery, just as the name implies, is an extension for the system—meaning extra hour, runtime, extra load etc,. You’ll have to connect the extra battery to the Ecoflow power station via a cable to achieve this (as simple as it is). You don’t have any business with buying a new inverter or another Ecoflow system on its own.

Well, I don’t really know what this is all about, but I guess I’ll stop here. I am only advising him on what I know. And there is an ecoflow thread here on Nairaland too. You can simply do a google search on this. Or even a YouTube video search about this can answer your questions; how it charges, how to connect it etc.

The only issue here is that those extra batteries are costly. But the fact still remains that its systems are upgradeable. Except I don’t know what upgradable means.

Modified:
According to the screenshot I shared b4, the price of the extra batteries are just 70% of the original system’s.

Not sure this is possible. The extra battery (which makes you refer to it as being upgradable) is mostly used as a backup to charge the main battery. You can't connect an extra battery to the main Ecoflow, increasing its capacity. If you want to increase the backup time, you need to buy another full Ecoflow system and connect both in such a way that one will charge another one, while you use the one that is being charged
Hmmm are you sure? See this screenshot below:

The installer got a bad battery for me at first and told me that the product he wanted buying wasn’t in the market. I was very angry with him and asked him why he didn’t call me. I didn’t even use the first battery at all. I asked him to return it the next day. He said we should buy Sako buy that it’s not the same price. I was already getting fed up with the whole stories. Out of trust, I involved my friend that is a PRO in the market and sent the balance for the Sako battery to him and asked him to help my installer before those guys will give him another nonsense battery because I was beginning to doubt the competence of my installer but I felt that involving this guy as a PRO/task force officer in Alaba, the distributor would respect himself and give my installer the correct thing. We have returned battery to Alaba more than 3 times since I decided to go on this journey. It’s been so much stress.

I have not called the PRO yet as I don’t know how best to handle this matter but I’ll definitely have to go to Alaba myself with the installer. He has been begging me that he didn’t know anything about what they planned because he’s aware that I wanted to arrest him. My wife had been begging me not to arrest him yet that he might not be a party to the dirty plan really.

Chief, on a closer look at this issue. I know it may have died down but It seems that the SAKO people are also accomplices as well. Why? Because you said you took it to them to help you check the battery and they did after about some days, but they told you that nothing was wrong with the battery (this is what you said). Meaning that they taunted and hounded your intelligence as well.

Seriously, I’m not in any way asking you to cause trouble but these people (your PRO and SAKO people) are evil. I will leave you to decide for yourself what to do about this issue if you have all the evidence.

This was your comment below:
ā€œNow, here’s the issue. The battery was running down fast with just my standing fan of 70watts and charging of phones. It would go from full charge to less than 50% by morning even though I started the system around 10pm. I had to send it back. The factory tested it for 2 weeks and said the battery was good but that we have been charging it wrongly. They told the man (my installer) how to set the inverter to charge it well. I think they said it should charge at 15amps or so.ā€

How is Ecoflow upgradable? Educate us

Some models of ecoflow allows for additional ecoflow batteries. Meaning that you can still buy just the battery and attach to an existing ecoflow system if you need more capacity.

Please I'm new to this space. I'm in same boat as him and I plan on using your advice.
Any suggestion on solar generators. I don't seem to know any.

But if at all you want to go for a Solar Gen just like suggested, then I’ll advise you go for ecoflow, because it’s upgradable (I.e the battery) and efficient too.
BigDickProblems: 12:57pm On May 15
fuckboys:
chief just get yourself a solar generator and add solar s later, your power needs isn’t enough yet for a full solar system.

And I’m recommending this based on your space, a self contained apartment doesn’t have room for a solar System. You wouldn’t want inverter and battery steadily blowing hot air into your space and with all the fan noise. It’s just a single room we’re talking about here.

Boss, do you still advise someone to get a solar Gen?
Honestly I wouldn’t advise him to do so.

Someday, he might decide to get a freezer or even a Tv, and upgrading will become a problem. The problems you mentioned are not big deal for a 100Ah battery and a sachet inverter.

Getting a Cworth 100Ah 12V, 1000watts Sachet inverter, a 30/45amps Felicity controller, and 2 units of 200watts 12V s will beat any solar generator wrt price. I may be wrong, but this is what I have seen after using Qasa Solar Gen before now.

The installer lives close to me. He travelled and came back two days ago. He came to my house yesterday and I told him that I bought a shunt to test the battery capacity. I’d already asked the Sako distributor at Alaba if the battery he gave to me was 25.6v; 200ah and he was beating about the bush but later answered me that that was the battery given to me.

The installer called me back few minutes after leaving my house and told me that the distributor called him and told him that one of my friends at Alaba who happens to be a PRO there and works in their task force caused the whole issue. I ed that my friend when they first sent me one battery called Suhkig and I rejected it. So I called him to help me go and make sure those distributors give my installer a good and renowned product. They said the PRO came and met them ahead of time and discussed with them on how to make money from me. They said he told them that I’m like a brother to him and that anything he tells me in Alaba market, I’ll do it. They said they had to record the conversation as they were scared it might backfire. I sent their balance to this PRO so that once he confirms everything , he will transfer to them. So they gave me a bad battery because according to them, he didn’t give them the complete money. This PRO at Alaba has been like a brother to me for the past 5 years. I bought almost all my appliances through him and he has never sent a bad product to me before. I just call him and he meets the direct importers and tells me the price of any commodity I wanna buy and it’s always cheaper than normal market price. I in return bless him financially and with airtime severally.
I even bought my inverter freezer through him last week.

So, they said that if he can return the money he withheld, they will give me my complete 5Kwh battery. I’ve just been in shock since.

Sorry, I don’t quite get you. I thought the installer got the battery for you? Or do you mean that your installer met another person (the PRO who knew you also) to get the battery from? Like the both of them planned you all along?

Great. Seems you finally fixed the issue?

with an mppt cc it doesn't really matter. So long you're under the recommended voltage of the cc

So what could have caused this issue since you are under the recommended voltage??

I guess I’m still asking the same question as you 🄲
BigDickProblems: 9:08pm On May 10
Drgreatone:

His problem was from using more s than specified for the battery voltage.
Even if you want to go above the limit, dont over do it cos u wud end up likely having issues

Ok. I get it now, he maxed out his recommended voltage. I am here to learn. Just a little of my experience so far is what I’m sharing.
BigDickProblems: 8:50pm On May 10
Drgreatone:

This isn't the ideal if using an mppt. Higher voltage means more efficiency in performance and cost in lesser guage wires

And look at what the high voltage has caused. He could have gotten 12volts and the appropriate cable for the set charging current.

fuckboys:
someone is saying my s are too much for 12v. Is that even possible?

Yeah. To be frank you should have gone with 180Watts or 200watts s that are originally for 12v system. Just parallel them and set that ampere to the required charge current in your controller.

Try using your PWM to wake it up, if it’s still available.

no my battery didn't even charge at all today with all the sunlight.

I had about 700plus watts around 11am then it kept increasing and crossed 800w before the c. Disconnects and won't charge again.

Please who has experienced this.?

That 50+ Volts on your controller dashboard, I hope that’s not the charging voltage ?

I guess it's my wire length that's causing voltage drop and affecting the controller's performance.

What you just pointed out is one of the disadvantages of DC. This is why AC is preferred over DC for long distances.

Becoming a graduate has always been my what I look forward to, As it stands now due to me studying botany and probably graduating with a second upper.

I come from a very low income family no connection nothing that means few months from now I'm starting my life from scratch and I have no one to call upon, I'm asking for advise generally am still 22 I don't want to make rash decisions that would hinder my growth I would need serious advice to help me on a path to succeed and be financially okay.

Skills I have :
I am good with computer I can use Excel for data perfectly and am perfect on Ms Word. I also design all these I learnt while schooling.

If you didn’t make first class and use it for international schorlaship abroad and start your life there hopefully, then that degree is more or less useless in a useless country like Nigeria.

The funny thing is not once did I say don't charge at 0.5C, and I repeated it several times; yet I get pulled into an argument that it is 0.5C or nothing cheesy

It's all good though, I believe healthy arguments should be encouraged for people to learn, though I must say I did not gain anything new from this exchange though.

Greetings to the OGs in the house.

I'm in the process of cell testing, 32700 3.2V LiFePO4 cells to be precise.

There are two cells in need of expert opinion:

**Cell 1**: Self-discharge from 3.23V to 3.19V within 24 hours but performs well under load test using a 12V DC cooling fan.

**Cell 2**: No self-discharge over the past 24 hours but does not perform well under load test; it reads 3.23V with no load but when the 12V DC cooling fan is connected, it jumps to 3.16V (a 0.07V drop) and bounces back to 3.23V once the load is disconnected. Other cells have a voltage drop of 0.01V or 0.02V when the same load is connected.

I want to know if either of these cells are worth considering.

Please how much do they sell this fan, and where in Lagos can I get it?

i ran a test on cworth battery overnight and returned it the next day. They didn't know tho.

The capacity was not enough for me, ran my fridge, tv and some fan of about 130w in total and it couldn't get me the next morning.

I gift the Josh battery to my junior brother. Got a sachet inverter and charger for him to use
as backup.

That’s so cool. Besides, from Damreey test, you can tell that this one is a steal for 450k. Enjoy!
