Penuelseun:
His battery pack is li-ion 3s with a maximum charge voltage of 12.6v, 14.6v is too much and will destroy his battery. He can step it down with a buck converter
thanks

Update on my 1.5kw powerstation.
3s 1.5kw li-ion pack (100a bms and 1.2a balancer).
12v 3000w easun inverter with a continuous of 1500w.
Terminals.
Two 12x12 box.
Handle.
Voltmeter.
Buck converter.
14.6v 20A lifepo4 charger.

Note: battery was well balanced before the series connection. Now each serie reads 4.20v, 4.19v and 4.20v respectively.

The reason for the buck converter is to step-down the chargers voltage and Amps to 12.6V 10A. But I'll be doing 13v to hasten the charging process, since the battery pack has a bms installed to handle the voltage to prevent overcharging.

Greetings to the OGs in the house.

I'm in the process of cell testing, 32700 3.2V LiFePO4 cells to be precise.

There are two cells in need of expert opinion:

**Cell 1**: Self-discharge from 3.23V to 3.19V within 24 hours but performs well under load test using a 12V DC cooling fan.

**Cell 2**: No self-discharge over the past 24 hours but does not perform well under load test; it reads 3.23V with no load but when the 12V DC cooling fan is connected, it jumps to 3.16V (a 0.07V drop) and bounces back to 3.23V once the load is disconnected. Other cells have a voltage drop of 0.01V or 0.02V when the same load is connected.

I want to know if either of these cells are worth considering.

It seems this your PWM charge controller is different from regular ones. Does it allow setting of the charging voltage to align with voltage of the battery pack?

it can be set to your preferred settings.

You can't get the info you just looking at pix of scc. You actually test it physically or via recommendations.

Buy a cc with BSC... it is on jumia or powMr k-series. I have 3 brand new ones 20a each but to sell them they hard me. Buy the 20a or higher for this below:
Boss, thank you so much for your kind suggestion. I finally got the BSC4048 scc and it has been performing excellently. I took my time to read the manual, then I understand the settings better. With the present mode I'm using, it charges to 12.6v and stops flow of current. So perfect.
Meet my expectations smiley
God bless you boss πŸ™ smiley

That PMW CC is an excellent PMW cc. Go for it, you'll enjoy it smiley

I've been using the common small blue pmw solar charge controller, but I have to hook up a buck converter to it as advisedby some here, just to monitor my li-ion battery voltage and ensure it doesn't go beyond 12.6. Because using my blue pmw solar charge controller, the lowest charge voltage is 12.7v, already above 12.6v.

Though beyond 12.6, the BMS will cut off charge in the long run, but I prefer it stops charging at 12.6.

Now what brings me here is that, I need advice on an affordable PMW solar charge controller that is effective, efficient and reliable for 12v Li-ion battery, such that I won't need buck converter to stabilise/stop charging my battery at 12.6v

get a diode to stop the reverse current, the diode is to be connected on the charger's output.
