@Ajayidebo,

I hope you have not paid for the assessment? Prior to assessment, it is not enough to check the occupation list, you also have to check if the occupation is sponsored by any state if it is not on 189 list.
I don't think there is any state sponsoring insurance agent. Doing the assessment without a sponsoring state will likely be an exercise in futility.

What is your own occupation?

Oh I think we’ll pick that instead, but for the principal applicant, I felt he should be the PA cos he’ll fetch us extra 15 points from his work experience compared to my uncoordinated work experiences and from the calculator, there was no extra point for masters and my age only fetched 5 extra points. Or am I wrong?

You are not getting the idea. What occupation is he going to nominate?

Sir Bellong thanks so much for your help! AITSL is the assessing body, I'm heading to their website immediately!
Also, can I apply for visa 491 with the competent English (6.5) result that I have or should I still write to get higher score?
May God bless you sir.

I didn't put a caveat that getting a minimum of 8 in each band is critical to getting nomination and invitation.

You need to retake the English test.
bellong: 1:07am On Oct 01, 2019
@Theokleia,

What is the occupation your husband intends to nominate? I am not sure if there is any occupation for a petroleum cargo inspector on the list. The other alternative is to nominate environmental engineering if it is related to what he does.

Going by your information, you will likely be the principal applicant. You don't need experience for a positive assessment as an engineer. You can write the CDR from your undergraduate thesis and industrial attachment.
bellong: 12:58am On Oct 01, 2019
@nenyeroz1

What does your husband do in the rescue and disaster management?

Based on the information you provided, you are in the better position as the principal applicant. The body assessing Teachers are not keen on paid experience for positive assessment, only that you will not get any points for experience if you cannot proof that you were paid. As long as there is teaching practice in your curriculum, you should get a positive assessment without experience points.

Notwithstanding, you should still be able to get minimum of 65 points and more for the visa 491.

Go to the assessing authority's website for further information.

Okay bellong, thank you so much for your response.

I will need to ask you again, how does the regional areas in NSW looks like? Are they opportunities there? Thank you

I don't live in NSW, I can't give you any informed advice about it. However, I know that the big regions like Wagga Wagga have thriving economy.

Hi All,

Can anyone explain why the 189 & 190 invitation is very limited lately? Is they any hope of them increasing the number of invitations at all? It’s really worrisome the limited number of invitations issued lately.

Thank you

The government is trying to cut down the number of migrants trooping to the main cities to reduce population. By November, a new scheme is starting to encourage people to the regional areas. The scheme will have more invitation.

I have more than 5 yrs experience after my HR master's qualification in HR..but wanted to use my first degree: LLB in Law for the process...till I hit a brick wall and decided to opt for the latter instead.

Well I am guessing the answer to my question is a YES...Thanks a lot.

It is a yes only if you are the HR manager. The occupation available for HR is HR manager.

Hmmmm...I wonder why .. solicitor is one of the skilled professions eligible for 189/190 visa.

It is a long process for lawyers (barristers and solicitors) because you need to be called to the bar in Australia first before PR application. To be called to the bar, you will be required to take some courses in any accredited Australia universities. This is why lawyers don't usually do it.

I don't think anybody can complain because of the peculiar nature of law to each country.

Hello Elders in the house,
I just got my ielts result (9777) and want to send my transcript to VETASSETS , I desire to know how much it will cause me for ECA and how to make payment?

What do you mean by ECA?

I believe you can use your Naira card for the amount, it should go through. If it doesn't, if you have a dollar card, you can use it. Other option is, I can help you with the payment and you pay the Naira equivalent.

Have you read information on VETASSES website?

Really shocked.... Please kindly explain or can I pm you ?

She wants to study Law in Australia which makes it easy as she would be called to the bar in Australia Post study. This means she doesn't have to go through the hurdles of studying to be called to the bar in Australia which Nigeria trained lawyers will face.

Please i need a candid advice. I am married with three kids (5,3 and 1). I stay in Lagos and my salary is about 10 million per annum with bright chances this will increase yearly in of salary reviews and promotions as I work with a big four. In short I can current afford to send my kids to good schools and take care of my family's basic needs. Would it be advisable to take a job offer in Australia (most likely sydney) for 80 to 85k AUD per annum pre-tax and live comfortably there with my family?

This question can only be answered by you. Firstly, you have to understand and establish why you want to relocate. The purpose for your relocation will determine if it is worth the risk.

If the reason you want to relocate is to make fast money, Nigeria is the better option to stay but if you are after quality of life, then Australia has the key. You choose yourself what you want.

That being said, for quality of life, Sydney is not one of the cities I will consider.

As advised, you can keep your job in Nigeria, do PR if you are qualified and can be visiting Australia at will.

If you don't stay in Australia, your PR expires after 5 years and you can apply for Resident Return Visa which is usually approved within days.

Good morning leaders, please it's take Australia embassy how many weeks or months to consider visitors subclass600 visa after biometric done, and can I work with visitors subclass600 for little time that I will arrange money in Australia soon apply for PR or better visa sir/ma

Standard processing time for visitors visa 600 is 19 - 23 days subject to change. However, it could be more, you only have to wait.

NO sir, you are not allowed to work on Visitor's visa. There is high probability that a no further stay condition would be imposed on your visitor's visa if granted.

@Slimy205,

1. Which transcript did you provide when you submitted the application? If you didn't provide any, you should have known that it will be asked.
Necessity is the mother of invention. You have to find a way. You should be entitled to a student copy of your transcript. Go to exams and records to ask.

2. You can go to the internal revenue to pay the tax for the year in question.

Bellong and others, please your assistant here is highly appreciated

The first thing you need to do is read the thread. You will get answer to most of your questions.

Secondly, pharmacy is a long process. When you read the requirements for assessment on the pharmacy assessing body's website, you will understand what I mean.

I advise you try Canada but if you have the patience, you can continue the process with Australia.

Thank you sir for your reply
Is it the experience in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering or the one i had as a marketer in insurance. Which is the one i will use for the CDR?
Sir Bellong pls check your email, i sent you message.
God bless you more sir!
I really appreciate your help here.

Only EA requests for CDR, so you can't use marketing experience while assessing as a metallurgical engineer. You have to use the engineering experience.

Sorry bro, your questions can be answered here.

The issue here is that the assessing bodies view PGD differently. For example, ACS will equate it to Diploma degree. I am unsure what EA does.

I asked a question, I don't expect you to subject my question to your interpretation but you respond to the question I asked.

I am not good with reading epistle especially if it doesn't address the question asked. I also do not understand the subtle jabs in your post.

You created a thread for the purpose of educating us. So you should be wiling to answer questions without pre-empting the person asking.

I do not glorify any man but I give honour to whom it is due. If your interpretation of my question is exalting Paul above the Holy Spirit, you are entitled to your opinion.

Thorn in the flesh is not the same thing as a rebuke. If Paul had thrown such damaging heresies, I expect a stern rebuke from the Master.

I didn't read all the errors of Paul you wrote but the few I read, your explanations are not convincing which is why I asked the question. I actually asked the question with an open mind probably you have an explanation for it but you couldn't answer and assumed otherwise.

An advice, don't be defensive when a question is asked. Answer the question and allow the person give himself or herself away.

Since you are not willing to answer my question, no point to continue with the discussion.

@Jesusjnr,

I have read some of your positions against Apostle Paul and I have one question to ask. If it has been asked before, you can direct me to the page you responded to it.

The question is, The revelation to Apostle John about the 7 churches came after Paul's writings. In Jesus' revelations to John, Nicolaitans, Jezebel and the likes were accused for false teaching, heresies and the likes. If Paul had made so much heretical teaching, why didn't Jesus accuse him along with the doctrines of Nicolaitans?

Please provide scriptural and convincing reasons.

Thank you.

Please guys, I got a natural justice form from DIBP today stating that I should give reasons why my employment letter and reference letter are bogus. My boss's company is ed properly with CAC and also has his certificate intact, didn't know what resulted to that anyway. Please I need an advice on how to go about this guys. I am so confused at the moment.

You should have nothing to fear if you truly work there. Reply by telling them when you were employed, how long you have been there and who gave you the reference letter. Include your first offer letter when you were employed, few payslips, bank statement showing salary paid and tax certificate if you have it.

If you provide all these, you shouldn't have any problem.

Thank you very much for ur good advice. I will bear them in mind.

Last time, I used our manager's phone number and I informed the man. He kept waiting for their call and email but never came

So whose phone number should I put there?

If that was the case, you should have appealed that he didn't get any from them

Still use his phone number.
