Penguin2: Obi has never presented any result to show he won the election. He has been arguing on irregularities. He wants to find a way majority of votes from places Tinubu won can be cancelled so we can have a rerun. You can prove me wrong by showing any alternative result Obi's lawyers have presented in court. Popular Obi's influencer @firstladyship (Nefertiti) could be seen defending Obi's inability to provide a Manifesto claiming it is unnecessary (See attached images and date). The same Manifesto she's claiming Tinubu copied and is implementing. Note: Tinubu released his manifesto draft on October 12, 2022. Proof: https://www.timesng.com/news/headlines/559290-2023-apc-approves-tinubus-manifesto-to-consult-buhari-on-campaign-commencement-date.html While Peter Obi released his manifesto on December 4, 2022. The big question is did Tinubu go into the future to copy Obi's Manifesto?

On Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's journey to Aso-Rock, the media was strongly used against his candidature with media houses like Arise TV turning themselves into frontline antagonists. They had tried to bully and blackmail Tinubu into visiting their media house in order to subject him to drilling and criticisms like they have done to most of the APC visitors. Frustrations from their fruitless endeavors has led their major journalists in persons of Rufai Oseni and Reuben Abati to convert their social media pages into covens of bad news. They got their strategies working as many people who do not like Tinubu will turn on notifications of these folks' social media handles to get the fastest updates on the latest jabs, gaffs and fumbles of Tinubu. They had switched from journalism to partisan activism with a touch of frustration being the first to break every news that puts Tinubu in a bad light while turning a blind eye to other opponents. I believe Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had seen all of these and has ensured he breaks the news first before Arise TV (owned by a PDP apologist) and other antagonists media houses do. A lot of people are beginning to rely on NTA news for credible news ahead of Arise, Channels and others that have held the mantle of excellence for so long. This is another pointer that Asiwaju ticks all boxes and is a master strategist who will win a battle without shooting a bullet. When the Central Bank of Nigeria used to set the value of the Naira and defend that value by artificially pumping Dollars into the market, you, as an ordinary citizen, did not benefit. It was another girl subsidy. But this time, the subsidy recipients were importers and people who wanted to ferry money out of Nigeria. Last year, the CBN was projected to have spent $8 billion to defend the naira's value artificially. The year before, it spent almost $ billion. That is more than what Nigeria spends on infrastructure annually. And that money just flies out of our economy, benefiting traders and foreign investors rather than manufacturers. It dissuaded local manufacturing of made in Nigeria goods and services because it almost guaranteed that imports would be cheaper. That is why Aliko Dangote had to close his tomato paste factory in Kano because Peter Obi could always import and sell cheaper, substandard tomato paste. All that will gradually end with the floating of the Naira. Our reserves will no longer be used to defend the Naira. Those who wish to take Dollars, Pounds, Euros and Yuan out of the country can look for it where they can legally find it. Anywhere except the Central Bank of Nigeria. Our reserves will be used to defend local production instead of foreign consumption. The price of goods in Peter Obi's Next Cash and Carry will rise because they are almost 100% imported. The price of locally manufactured goods, like Innoson Vehicles, and Dangote Tomato paste, will also rise, but not at the same rate as imported goods will increase. But you, as a citizen, will gain because the money previously used to defend the Naira will now instead be used to pay Nigerians a living wage, build infrastructure, and service the proposed student loans, amongst other things. It is a win-win scenario. That is why nobody who loves Nigeria should attack this patriotic policy that all major Presidential candidates, except Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, promised to implement. lexy2014: You're the one shifting goal post here. What are the methods to get fuel in Nigeria? 1. Import 2. Refine Dangote went for option 2 first before going for option 1 Your Number 2 Question: Fuel importation is not the problem of the country but subsidy payments on fuel importation. Nigeria cannot stop fuel importation until Dangote and other refineries are fully functional. Dangote wants to explore every option available. Refer to closure of border when our rice isn't fit for consumption yet. I will ignore Number 3 and Number 4 because you just introduced them into the argument 5. See attached

lexy2014: Let me break it down for you: 1. NNPC is not stopping marketers from owing refineries infact they don't care where you g wey fuel from. The market is open to everyone. If you feel refinery is cheaper for you, go and open it. If you feel importation is cheaper, go ahead. 2. Dangote has become a marketer hence the need to get an importation license, he's in the market to compete. He will buy local Crude oil, refine and also import. Once his production is at full capacity, he can decide to stop importation. 3. It is not stopping importation of fuel that's saving forex but stopping the cost the government bears i.e. Subsidy. What this simply means is that government will not pay anything for us to get fuel cheaper hence all marketers including NNPC itself will import or refine fuel at their best rate. 4. The correlation between removing subsidy and reducing its own importation unit is that NNPC will not be the sole importer again unlike before that NNPC will buy at for example 550 and sell to marketers 180 who resell at 187. 2 Likes |

lexy2014: NNPC has removed subsisdy and will be reducing its importation units. They are giving license to more marketers to import just as Dangote too has entered the market. Even when Dangote's refinery begins operations, they will still be issuing the license to anyone interested, it's a free market. If you feel you can import fuel and sell at lower price, it's your business. If you also feel you have rich men that will buy at higher price, it's also your business. It's not just a Dangote thing! |
