It took 2weeks for the stamped port to be delivered by DhL. I sent to Lagos vfs office. They called me to send details to pay transmission fees for my 3kids. Then notifications came in at intervals providing information on the status.

Yes there was.

Also after the port is stamped before DHL delivers back to you , you will receive the letter of introduction which you show CBSA upon arrival.

1. please after submitting your port, how long did it take for the visa to come out?
2. was there any sort of acknowledgement of receiving the port?

I got my PPR after a year (few) and I have submitted it, But I have not heard anything yet. thanks

Write to school and request for their direct number which has NBCC as name. Paymytuition uses a third party not recognised by CBN. Third party recognised by CBN are like Western Union business solutions and I can't the second. MFTX which handles paymytuition is not recognised. When the school provides a direct ,you can now process via Form A from any traditional bank.

My P.....P...R dropped today like I said earlier today the feeling is magic and I would love everyone to feel this way on this platform because you deserve it. My application was imperfect with its advantage and disadvantages such as am in my mid-forties and I also got some refusals in the past but you see what they are looking for is that truthful person in their application and issible into their country. I submitted loads of documents cos I have them, my documents were over 70 but that was not my strength, it is the power of the Living God Jehovah. Regarding sending mails, I am someone who hates to bother people for anything but when it comes to the job I can send emails to get the job done. I will text, email, call, chat and buzz just to get my job done and I realized that was the way out although I didn't start on time but when I did, it was extra polite and reasonable. I also ed the MP for Vancouver and I was polite and they responded. I will recommended that if your timeline is overdue send webforms but extra polite and make them see reasons why they need to finalized your application.

In giving honor to whom it is due, its my heavenly Father that deserve the praise who is worthy to be worshipped. Secondly, I used someone on this platform (frankrobbn1) on this platform because I didn't want to do try and error. He's good with his applications and has a great understanding of what is required. Good morning Nairaland Family. I have come to give back to the source that gave me hope on this journey since May 2019 2021. Its PPR GUYS!!!!


I dedicate this testimony to God Almighty, the one who got times and season in his hands. Though it was a long wait from getting ITA for SINP in October 2019 to rejection in April 2020 and starting the Study permit journey in November 2020 , but it happened when it was meant to be.

November 2020, I decided to explore the study route after an attempt at PNP with no success.



This is my First application (Self and Brother sponsor)
Age= 44yrs

Schools=== NBCC and Crandall University both in New Brunswick( i had a strategy for choosing schools in that province, they are immigration friendly to Nigerians and international students. PR is quicker both in study and after schoolon}) NBCC waitlisted me for PG in Business Analytics while Crandalll offered me uncondirional ission in February 2021 and fees fully paid as at June 2021.

Course === Masters in Organizatiinal Management ( already have Masters in HR from UK (online)

NSE for IELTS only ==== used the same IELTS for PNP. i used does not qualify for MBS( a call )

Medical done May 3rd and my kids May 27th and submission for application was May 14th

Biomerics ======= May 26th
Medical ed =====. June 4th

Then the wait started and I also requested for GCMS notes 3 consecutive times, waiting for the 3rd before the PPR came.


Started sending soft mails to Nairobi and Beijing in August as my school session was to start in September. I took the advise from the group and sent to the MP in charge of Moncton but no good response.

I was really getting frustrated, at a point i had to stop reading through posts in group for my mental health.

Because my application processing is really delayed this is the 6th month, I started writing and sending webform to IRCC but at some point one of the mail said that I have a rep, so I should consult the rep with information required.
I felt the Rep was not pushing had, so at one time I sent a webform using the rep details and writing as if i was the Rep.

Abeg the REP is very upset because IRCC wrote to them and now it is seen as impersonation on my part. I don beg them but seems they wan pursue legally.

I need your advise , I have pleaded because when I sent that I was really frustrated. I have UK ission but Canada is holding me down because I paid full tuition and I cant proceed until application is finalised.

I had a lump sum which was well explained a loan obtained and the loan documents attached and also proceeds from land sales which was also explained properly.

My tuition fee was fully paid before the application and receipt included.

Should I forward an updated SOA (MBS) plus my co-sponsor's too?

U didn't state when you applied though.

They are doing a further review on your proof of funds to see if truly it will be available all through your studies in Canada.. Hope you do not have a lump sum in your SOA though..

I can also see that your application was assigned by the Visa Officer (3849) many applicants here do not like to another Visa Officer to review the proof of funds..

But this looks like they are in the final stage of your application... Get ready for a final decision soon..

It's unfortunate Canada embassy now sees Nigerians as applicants who always submit forge documents bcus most of the misrepresenting cases the have, majority of it comes from naija.
That's why they always scrutinize Nigeria study visa applications very well bcus of this and this has really giving the country bad name already.
And I blame agents for this bcus the contribute mostly on it.

To my surprise, I know someone that used an agent to apply for visa and the agent manipulated the figures in the applicant bank by working in the and I thought the application will chop 5yrs ban but to my surprise after 3months,the visa was approved and my jaw dropped.
I said to myself does it mean Almighty Canada that is good in fishing this kind of things out allow this one to slip them.

The working might be the agent paid in money which the person will be charged certain interest but money was actually there. It happens all the time but if it was worked on. The bank will raise a suspicion when request comes in from embassy for confirmation.

The wait was really daunting and exhausting. At some points, I was overwhelmed and doubting my application - It was after I submitted my application I this thread, then, I began to raise webforms and SHOOTING EMAILS to Nairobi to further fine tune my application based on the recommendation and advice from the gurus here. More so, I PRAYED AND FASTED so that the VOs should overlook my mistakes�

As at this time last year, I cant imagine that I could be at this level, in fact, I was about giving up on scholarship after receiving several love letters from Professors. Then, I give it another trial this year—I am heading to UBC for a PhD program with funding. (B.Tech 2014; MSc 2019).

Hi,

Since the 1st of April 2021, I've been a silent reader on Nairaland. I learned about web-forms, e-mailing MPs (which I did), and even the official email address to for updates using this platform.

My application was approved this morning after nearly 5 months of checking my e-mail every day and sending multiple web-forms. God takes all the glory on this one.

I have a Bsc. in Computer Technology from BU but applied for an Advanced Diploma Business course at Seneca College and my application was approved. It happens to be a three year course btw! This means it's very possible to apply for a diploma even with a Bsc.
My mother is my sponsor and note this, i supplied a fixed deposit investment from a reputable Microfinance bank (alongside an access bank statement of ). 95% of the monies were with the MFB. I also supplied my company bank statement with SCB.

I also supplied the following :
1. Lease agreement i had secured with a student residence on campus.
2. SOP written by me (edited by God ) , explaining my career path and study purpose. As a footwear designer, i included a catalogue of my designs, CAC documents and also attached my CV.
3. Sponsorship letter from my mum narrating my business achievements and why she chose to me further.

Overall, I believe God's favor was at work here because I've seen many more qualified people be turned down! What God cannot do does not exist!

Canada is better because my brother that left since 2008 for PHD with full scholarship just became a citizen after close to 14years. Whilst Canada , if the spouse gets a job , pR can be possible without waiting till the end of the studies. Citizenship within 5yrs. He can cross over to US easily for jobs too.

MY LANDING GIST!!!!

KLM Flight at MMIA, Ikeja. Lagos to Amsterdam (almost 6hrs layover at Amsterdam Airport), Amsterdam to Toronto.

Got to the Airport 4pm, August 11th

Brought three bags (22kg Clothes, 20kg Food), Laptop bag with my laptop, clear bag having my docs. & some other Contents (chips) inside of it.

Interestingly, the first search port , they checked my first bag which was having my clothes in it, as I was trying to bring my second bag (which contained Food stuffs) , they said I shouldn't bother, was quite surprised. Because i know i might not be able to go out during quarantine, I packed a substantial amount of food stuffs and ready to eat foods such as Peanuts, Chips etc. The second bag i used to pack my foodstuffs was a Traveling bag, am assuming they thought it was Clothes that was also inside that bag. In a nutshell I wasn't directed to Nigerian Quarantine Agriculture service, I went straight to KLM post to check-in.

- Tuition Payment. Receipt from the School
- Negative COVID-19 Test
- Enrollment Letter was asked but i had only "Travel Authorization Letter (Travel Letter)", Enrolment letter wasn't available, my DLI would not give me cos my Program is an in-person and they told me i need to be in Canada in physical, get the STUDY PERMIT before I can be allowed to . The KLM staff was a bit skeptical about me not having ENROLLMENT LETTER, but only TRAVEL LETTER, I had to show her the e-mail from the school to prove that what I was saying was legit, she called her OGA, the oga sha scanned thru the TRAVEL LETTER and the mail, he was pointing out a portion of that letter to her & told her "I was good to go".

She directed me to another port to check in my luggage, and i met another lady, she asked for my port, gave me YELLOW card that I should fill it and also write the name of my destination, DLI, Naija Phone number on it, then she gave me my boarding (Lagos to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Toronto)

From there, I sat down somewhere near one Foreign Affairs mini office. I was jejely waiting there, Mumsy, Dad & my Aburo (sisto) were with me. Naxo one man with I.D card just come meet my mumsy say, is she your son, mumsy answer " yes". He come talk say make me i follow am (he looks like a Custom/immigration/foreign affairs staff, wasn't able to see details about his ID, but he be like say he get mouth for that airport, he was on a casual outfit, not in Uniform). He was with some travellers going to Canada as well. Naxo me just follow am, he told mumsy, say make dem give him her fone make he snap us Sharp sharp, telling her that " after this place they are not allowed to follow me to the Immigration section".

Mumsy come dey kinda cry, hug me, me come dey feel emotional but smiling, Daddy and my Aburo (sisto) no cry but we hugged, snapped pictures and said their BYES to me.

So i went through the Naija Immigration section, and it was seamless. This man was in our front all through, I no know wetin him dey follow those Customs guys, immigration guys talk. I guess that man na one ANGEL. I was with my one year Living Expenses in Cash $8K USD (equivalent to $10K CAD), I wasn't able to get PTA for naija bank cos my ticket na ONE WAY.

Naija Immigration guys only asked of my:
- International port
- Boarding
- Yellow Card.

He made a stamp on my PORT, collected my YELLOW CARD, gave me back my boarding and said I can go.

We went to another port of immigration, commot belt, remove shoes, remove phone, remove laptop put on big tray like that,entered the other side and left.

In a nutshell, I didn't grease anybody hands, nobody asked me for money (anything for the boys), nobody asked "how much is with you" customs seff no ask me any question, i just walk them as that man dey go for our front . I was just being attended to like a DIPLOMAT and all was a cruise.

Along the line I saw one cute yarinya (kai walahi odo wun yefe ), his Dad/guardian (an Airport/Aviation staff I guess) was with her putting her thru, na so we gather dey together dey gist till our Amsterdam Flight was called for boarding, but our seat come far, nobody to gist with again

FLIGHT FROM LAGOS TO AMSTERDAM (SCHIPOL AIRPORT)
Flight departed Naija : 11pm , August 11th

Food Was quite OK, Oyinbo Food, chai.... We were served twice. Me just zip my Orange Juice after eating.

Movies Yapa ,
I watched GOLD STATUE (Gabriel Afolayan, Sola Sobowale, RMD, Kalu Ikeagu) but didn't complete the movie, BOB Abishola TV series and WonderWoman 1984

Got to Amsterdam 5am the next day " August 12, we waited till 10.45am (5-6hrs stop over) before announcement was made about boarding the Flight going to Toronto from Amsterdam, we were on queue, the KLM staff there asked for my Docs., told him I was a student.

Showed him my
- COVID-19 Negative PCR test
- Boarding
- port
- Travel Authorization Letter

He said I should make sure I show all documents to the CBSA guys at Toronto P.O.E. & he wished me a safe trip

I can count the number of Dark skin engers on that aircraft, 80% of them were Whites, Middle East & Asians.

FLIGHT FROM AMSTERDAM TO TORONTO

On the KLM flight from Amsterdam to Toronto, we were served oyinbo food, me i just jejely asked for Natural Orange Fruit juice all through to press the food, the food was delicious, and was jejely sipping it (to keep boosting my immune system). I was able to complete the MOVIE (GOLD STATUE) on this flight, also saw the movie "Godzilla vs KingKong".

We arrived Toronto Pearson Airport 12.45pm (journey was 6-hours). We Trekked wella before getting to the CBSA officers check point. There was a machine i visited first with my international port (for Scanning) & also answered some questions, and also the machine snapped my picture, when i was through, a white slip was printed out automatically with my picture on it and some other info.

So I was on the queue, met an immigration officer (a Cute woman with a latina-like face attended to me);
she asked me
- why are you in Canada, told her to "TO STUDY"
- International port
- Negative COVID-19 Test result
- ArriveCAN receipt.

So on that slip that had my picture in it, she made a remark with a Marker on it, gave me back, and also gave me a Paper having some information about COVID-19.

So I proceeded to the next immigration officer.

He asked for my
- port (Gave to him)
- Why I was in Canada?
- Is this my first time in Canny?
- What DLI (School) are you attending?
- ArriveCAN receipt

Within 5-minutes, he printed my STUDY PERMIT, on that letter there was an information which shows I can work as a student & he also gave me a Work permit (Co-op Work permit). In a nutshell i got two WORK PERMITS.

I was directed to an exit, met another immigration officer, he asked how much was with me, I told him $8K USD ($10K CAD equivalent), was trying to bring it out, he just said "you can go"

Went to claim my LUGGAGE, saw my first bag, was intact, saw my second bag containing the food stuffs, the Bag has been opened, zip messed up, the KLM staff come dey apologize say na the people wey arrange my load no do am well, and talk say the few turbulence that happened in the air affected some luggage including mine. i checked if all was intact and discovered nothing was taking cos i get list of everything in a paper.

I am not vaccinated, so i went for my rapid on arrival PCR TEST, they asked if I have reg. on the switch health website, I said YES. So I went to switch health (representing TORONTO) to do the COVID-19 TEST. Afterwards, I.was directed to go get my COVID-19 TEST KIT

Note:
If you are landing at TORONTO PEARSON AIRPORT (YYZ) make sure you reg. at the switch health website so you won't waste your time at the airport.

I connected to their Wifi and got across to my Airbnb host, cos she say make I call her if I don finish with Border officials.

My Airbnb host (a Philippine Woman) come use her OCHARA TEAR RUBBER TOYOTA JEEP come pick me for Airport go the Airbnb Location. She was very nice and welcoming, we gist small sha, and i related to her wella as if we don know each other before, she was enjoying our convo all through, me jz dey use some Geography totori her. We got to the Airbnb Location & she showed me around, her place make sense, bed dey bounce wella, WiFi dey (the speed no be here at all, I come use style my GLO network for Naija, wey I go Switch-On the WiFi, climb tree up go out am to receive fast network reception).

So far so good, Quarantine as being dope, na one Israeli guy dey the other apartment , he is fully vaccinated but was staying in a room in that same Airbnb. The guy sha help me change small money, rate was dope sha, come help me buy Groceries. He talk say if I need anything make I holla at him.

All I can say is, GOD TOOK PERFECT CONTROL, journey was long but amazing

I MUST say ORILEDE CANADA is damn amazing" no fire brigade approach from anyone, no body blood dey hot for here. Everyone looks cool , respectful and ready to help, everything na SEMPE SEMPE for here.
