This year I finally saved the required amount and here’s a one room apartment and this is my first bachelor meal .

Better days ahead i pray

Thank you.

Happy new month all! May we deliver value to humanity this month and beyond.

Munzy14:

No...uziza is hot leaf.

It's seed is the black pepper.

Alligator pepper is called "Ose Oji" in Igbo..Very tiny but hot.
Thanks for the clarification. Alligator seeds are super hot

Congratulations bro. It will end in praise.

My advice to you are:
Focus on your studies. Don't allow worldly friends, football betting, excessive alcohol consumption and lack of self discipline hinder you from getting excellence.
Shine among your coursemates. No normal person lights a candle and keep under the bed. Read before every class (go through the course outline), anwser and ask questions in class. Don't mind people that may call you ITK. Sell yourself, there will always be buyers.
Engage in extra curricular activities.

......and many more

Most people think black pepper is that cameroon pepper..good you made that correction.

In my tribe black pepper is called mkpuru uziza.

It is a gold mine nowadays...

True.
Uziza? Isn't that alligator pepper?

I get it cheaply here in Jos....for as low as 100 naira. My herb/spice guy sells almost all the spices and herb one can think of....they are affordable.

Oatmeal fufu with goat head and cow skin ofe onugbu.

First time making ofe onugbu. Thanks to YouTube and the advice I got from here. Finally settled for corn starch as my thickener. One new soup is now added to my soup repertoire.

Hope to learn ofe akwu next. I know a woman from Abagana growing up that serves it with rice and I liked it.
Yum yum. You did well.
Ofe akwu is Banga stew. I went crazy on one Igbo guy on Clubhouse for saying Ofe Akwu is the senior brother of Banga soup cheesy.
So far, my favourite Igbo soup is Oha soup. Have you had it?

It replaces the use of synthetic antibiotics...With the anti-microbial properties of both spice it is a sure nutri-bullet.
A bonus to livestock farmers. Back in school, I studied the antifungal activities on a particular fungi strain....it was effective.
Thanks for the information.

For those having malaria or with children suffering from malaria or fever. Mix the turmeric and black pepper (not Cameroon pepper o) in warm milk and drink. It works like magic

You are correct with that combination of turmeric and black pepper..

The best of turmeric is gotten in a combination with 1/4 of bkack pepper to the amount of turmeric you want to use just to unlock the bio-active compounds turmeric...

Extremely benfitial in organic farming of livestock.
Awesome. I never knew the combo is used in livestock farming

Instead of reserving it, take your comment and prop it up in a place where it can watch you, giving you the attention you constantly thirst for.
I don’t find your constant trolling entertaining or funny but instead juvenile and annoying.

This thread has been going nicely for a long time without your foolishness that I don’t care to witness.

Foodies, I enjoyed my time here with you all. I’m moving on. Enjoy your cooking and goodbye!
Firstly, I think you should carry your enormous pain, bitterness and frustration to your family meeting. It ain't my problem.

Secondly, I had to read the entire thread seeking for where you corrected yourself after others told you that you quoted the wrong person....but I found none.

I have never trolled anyone on this thread and I don't intend to. If my food photos triggers you in anyway, that's on you.

Guess what? You ain't nothing to me, so you've been placed in the trash can. Bad bye and stay gone! Ekpa

Hello my fellow Foodies!

I did an experiment and want to challenge you all to try it. Next time you cut a piece of okra, take a few of the seeds, wrap them in a layer of paper, and put them in a warm, dry place for 7 days. After that week has ed, find a little dirt where the sun shines, plant those seeds an inch deep, and water every day. When your beautiful plants grow and produce okra, take a few more seeds and go through the process again! Do the same thing with tomatoes, cucumbers, and melon!

If you try it, don’t forget to share a picture to celebrate your success!

Here are the results from my first round. In America, most people eat okra either dipped in batter and fried or smothered and served over rice but I’d love to try different ways of preparing and eating it if any of you would be kind enough to share your recipes with me!
Hmmmm. Let me reserve my comments

I may affirm positively to something at face value or pay attention, but I do research for myself.

Cinnamon contains heart-healthy compounds that may decrease inflammation and raise levels of HDL (good) cholesterol. It may also reduce your blood pressure and triglyceride and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels.(google)

That is the reason I went with the flow. It's really not a nice drink anyway, I try to mix it will all sorts.

Trust you are having a good day.
The truth is almost all crops/plants have therapeutic benefits. However, how they are used, the complimenting plant and some other things determine how effective they will be. For instance, Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) contains many phyto-compounds. Popular among them are curcumin. Curcumin is responsible for most of its therapeutic benefits. However, it is not easily digestible. In order to enjoy the benefits of turmeric, it is advisable to take with little quantity of black pepper. Black pepper contains a phyto-compound called piperin. This make the curcumin in turmeric bio-available for the body.

I know these because I worked on/with turmeric in my undergraduate thesis. The same turmeric can reduce spermatogenesis and oogenesis, reducing fertility when abused.

I think u can get It in stores like SPAR, Shoprite etc , I do see it in these places .

Why I’m not impressed in the fish is how I see people prepare it online . Most of the ways of preparing it I see online are just too boring and non inspiring for me. Maybe if somebody here tries it and gives it a big hype I will equally try it too
I saw it one time at ShopRite but the price is scary abeg.
