This government will be granting amnesty for a very long time.

After granting Niger Delta militants amnesty, Boko Haram came. After Boko Haram will come another better organized terrorrist group.

We are blessed with a myopic government headed by a fortunate weakling.

Pls don't ban me, I just can't keep it to myself.

Tell me which one of his businesses or companies has not benefitted ordinary Nigerians and even the government.
I can argue his corruption is to the benefit of Nigeria. We more businessmen like him. Imagine where Nigeria would be with 20 businessmen like Dangote in Nigeria.

I have been planning to start a Petrol station business but don't know how to go about it. People I have met, who are already into the business in my area, do not want to open up because of fear of competition. I have, thus, decided to forget about ever getting any kind of help from them and develop the idea alone. Life is all about risks they say.

Before I do that, however, I would like to ask Nairalanders who have any kind of information or Idea how to go about this business.
Pls assume I have got land, how much will the construction of sructures cost? What are the things that have to be put in place before the business can pick up and how much would they cost.
You can advise me based on your own location(mentioned) and the situation of things around you. I will respond to any questions. Thank you.

Like I advised, go to a job interview with something that will really help you at the interview. Something like a private jet to ease the difficulty of transportation and to avoid lateness.

Omo people like this still dey naija? I think say na me be the last one wen go wake up, not knowing...

JAMB to be re-modelled
JAMB will be modelled along same line
with the body in the United States of
America which sets standards for
issions into institutions of higher
learning.
Other decisions taken by government on
the Oronsaye committee include the
scrapping of the National Examinations
Council, NECO, the National Poverty
Eradication Programme, NAPEP, and the
National Complaints commission.
The report seen by Vanguard,
recommended that the functions of NECO
would be assumed by the West African
Examinations Council, WAEC, which will
also take over the structures of NECO
nationwide.
In order to make up for the deluge of
students who sit for the external
examinations of Neco, WAEC would be
expected to conduct two external
examinations, one in January and
another in November for external
students while still running its internal
examination programmes for secondary
school students.
Under the proposal, the National Poverty
Eradication Programme would be
replaced by an agency called National
Agency for Job Creation and
Empowerment (NAJCE) while the National
Complaints Commission will be merged
with the National Human Rights
Commission.
The Government rejected the
recommendation urgung the scrapping
of the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission, the Independent Corrupt
Practices Commission and the Ministry of
Police Affairs, saying it would be counter
productive.
A member of the committee told
Vanguard that the decision was
preparatory to government’s plans to
overhaul major sectors in the country.
“JAMB will be divested of the ission
provision. It will no longer conduct
examinations but will be a clearing
house. Every school will it its
students.
“Neco will be scrapped and its
infrastructure will be merged with that
of the West African Examination Council
(waec).
“Universities will be allowed to set their
standards but jamb will set the minimum
standard for ission into all tertiary
institutions” the source said.

Will you kids just stop ranting? For God's sake, make sense! Kids can't control anxiety.
Anxiety forces you to come hear and post rubbish. I do not blame people who give you those info, they must have known that some people are so 'dumb'.

A sensible graduate would know that with so much noise around, the next recruitment would not go under G. And great care will be taken in conducting it.

This thread is full of teenagers, from comments i've read.

Grow up and post with sense or keep showing to us you are a toddler still su.cking at your mother's br.east. Yes, that's what some people are.

I hope those collecting apt letters now know what they are doing?

@ CrazyMan, yours is the most confusing comment i've ever read!

It's so long and boring. Get people to help you out on some issues. No, no one knows all.

imoh4king:
Its not as easy as you presented it. How do you deal with the regulatory bodies? Who are you supplying the end product to? How much do you spend on operational overhead?.....Pls elaborate..

Believe me, it is easier than most people think. This is a job that has enriched so many illitrates in those areas. Now if they were able to figure out how to deal with those limitations, even as illitrates with parochial minds, it should be a goldmine for the informed.

Look for a family with a 'bush' containing quality woods, buy it up(timber only, which is actually very cheap ), the timber contractors' union available, do whatever they tell you to do, look for lumber men(operators, they are abundant) who will 'saw' up to desired sizes, from there every other things will come your way. There are many buyers from cities like lagos, kano, Ibadan, abuja, kaduna etc who go down there to buy the 'Pakos' (planks). They will be happy to buy from you. What you pay to government through forest guards( now contracted to some company) is peanut compared to what you make daily if you are serious.

You can also decide to be buying and taking to the cities where they become hot cake. Most guys do that.

You can also combine both. Do everything from start to finish, that way you become a millionaire faster. I have a MILLIONAIRE friend who is a timber contractor and me nko well God dey sha!

But this is a really dirty job.

I can partner with whoever is interested and we'll make millions in a year that those who work in offices will never make in 20years.
AdoOloro(m): 2:10pm On Feb 25, 2013
Lumbering!!! Get as little as 100k and go to the midbelt (kogi esp. For now) and start 'sawing' up money;;; millions. You won't believe. In a month you can make between 500k - 2m. But that's a really dirty job.

Op, please did you use connections or you are part of the people that ed their cv's on the min of interior website? I think simply saying you were called without details, won't help guys, it will only increase anxiety. Pls let us know which one it is.

@Ogompaul, appointment letter for people that applied through min. Of interior website or those that applied before that? If for those that applied before, when did they apply and when did they do tests and interviews? Or, do these people just issue appt. letters without actually testing applicants? Pls kindly clarify.

Hello there, heard there's gonna be age limit, set at 25yrs. But don't know if it is for both junior and senior officers or juniors alone. Pls try and find out so that if it is real, those older can start looking elsewhere early.
Surely forms will be out today or tomorrow.

Let the Nigerian football federation do the right thing. Bring in expert coaches and stop inprovising.

I tell you, it is not only Nigerians who love to see the Super Eagles play, when things are right. Those refs, CAF officials and indeed the entire people of Africa know how only Nigeria has the potential to make Africa proud on the international scene. They also know how we will not be able to achieve that, with the way our football is run, hence they try to frustrate us to do the right thing.
I don't think these people think of us as serious, for what on tiny mass was Kalusha Bwalya, the Zambian FA president, doing sitting with Hayattou?

Nigeria is loosing it, from the way events are unfolding. We are no longer regarded as a force to reckon with in African football.

I beg any coach wen no sabi make him talk am and resign instead of wasting our time and resources.

I seriously blame the NFF.
Nigerians, why go to a 21st century war with 18th century military intelligence?

When serious nations of the world decide to go nuclear to be able to spit fire into the face of whoever they attack, we decide to stay crude prefering to serve our enemies with water to quench their thirst.

Solution, bring a world-class football coach to satisfy our world class appetite. We have good enough players!

S/Africa produces/generates about 40,000MW. Nigeria generates about 5000MW.

40,000 divided by 5,000 equals 8.

Inference:
S/Africa is 8 times better than Nigeria!
