So, your solution for people attacking minorities who they (wrongfully) blame for their problems is......wait for it.....attacking another minority ??

The problem is not with the Nigerians in SA or the "Boers"
Those people wouldn't be blaming everyone else if the Zuma ANC and friends had spent the money they've been looting from the country on improving the lives of ordinary South Africans and creating jobs instead of enriching themselves and destroying the country's infrastructure.

Did you know that more dollars leave the African continent every year than money coming in as debt and aid ?
How do you think that came to be ?

Leave him alone, racists like him never win.

How the US Special Forces and Niger troops got ambushed. A very interesting and detailed map-based animation video.

NB: ambush details start at 7:00 min.

Hope it hasn't been shared before.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFmN-1N0SWg

the village leader clearly set them up. Also, there was no need for them to stay in the ambush because the initial shooting came from behind but the Muricans were like "let's go Rambo on these rebels and show the village women that we've got balls". The squard commander should be demoted, there is plenty of recklessness here, he had a small team but they kept getting left behind and took him a long time to give command to alert base that they were under ambush and his man were already KIA. Also, these SF operators were under armed for even patrol.

Not about it not flying. About such a non sanitary environment. Its an aircraft, not a high school project. If it was a drone, then sure....have 50 kids in and around parts, manuals and drawings. The whole of Cessna's engineers are also in aviation....but Cessnas still crash, sometimes over the smallest component. Anyways.

Dude, what's your problem? Kids assembled an aircraft and you're being a bitch about it. Stop it...... and that's a Sling not a Cessna.

Update to this.

Direct hit to the Mbombe 6x6 tore into it's armour.

https://twitter.com/FebruaryChannel/status/1132232706211885056?s=20

This is terrorist propaganda. The Mbombe 6x6 has double armour, they never made it to the second Armour where the crew was seated, otherwise the vehicle would be smoking from within, which is clearly not the case here. BTW, who takes a vehicle to the battlefield after 3 days of being delivered, no training, no doctrine to effectively use the vehicle. They just saw a vehicle with wheels and they thought "Allah will protect us" and took it to war.

You don't drive an IFV/APC to war like that.. Foot soldiers should be protecting the heavy equipment, they form a long line, they move forward, the IFVs come behind providing overall field view and heavy fire . An RPG is likely to be fired at 400m (and miss) then use smoke to conceal the vehicles while rifleman, platoon snipers and mortar teams assault the enemy position until those guys with RPGs are eliminated then move forward again.... But I guess no one goes to battle school in Libya.

Whats with the obsession with Agusta, AW109,139 --- At this rate we should force them to bring an assembly plant to Africa

Notice the numbers on the side window and also the serial numbers at the tail, they are not far apart

Last time I checked, South Africa had an assembly plant for that aircraft. 30 were produced for the SAAF. They are rubbish, they just fall from the sk, 2 crashed from the SAAF and 1 for the NAF.

company level air defense... shocked

For the Parabats (paratroopers)

and there's a million uses for it...

1. That vehicle could be sneaked into an area to prepare and (air) secure the LZ for a larger paratrooper or arial landing.

2. Same vehicle could be sneaked into enemy territory to randomly or strategically harass aircrafts in their territory.

3. Could be used as a trap or bate to lure in enemy aircrafts into an air ambush inside their territory.

4. Could be used as air defense for the Parabats while assaulting an enemy position.

5. Could be used to setup air-liftable mobile air defense in remote bases...

Basically its some good sh#t to have on a low profile ATV

The moment we lost an Oryx during recent drills

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiVKhbWtxyc

Downside: Oryx is kill
Upside: Guys ed their training, disembarked, assisted the wounded and still tried to take up defensive positions - even though it was just training

Do you think it's still fixable?

Why should SF accompany him to Uganda? Here's how it works:
1) minimal risk - normal Presidential Protection Unit team;
2) medium risk - PPU team + PPU Counter-Assault Team;
3) high risk - PPU team + PPU CAT + SF.

By any measure Uganda is minimal risk.

Thanks for clearing that out. Anyways he didn't go, the Ugandans wanted 5 goats instead grin

I guess the Zumas still hold the record for their 100 cow bridal price that was given to King Mswati III's half brother for his daughter. grin

DAFUQ?

Ugandans have lobola?

Oh well, the Ugandans rejected the 100 cows, they said the offer was "dehumanising". However, they did take 5 goats.

Strange

False report and I think the media reports are now being corrected, uncles from the groom's family would carry this responsibility. As far as SF, I doubt this would be justifiable. At most STF, but even that would IMO be overkill in this instance. Uganda is relatively low risk, but again IMO

Overkill? It would be show off to arrive with Hornets RDVs and man armed just for lobola negotiations. To think about it, wouldn't you want to be accompanied by Special Forces to lobola? It's more than cool, it's legendary grin

NB: Screw the taxpayers and the opposition parties

DAFUQ?

Ugandans have lobola?

I didn't know that. I guess every African custom has a bridal price of some sort. However, the Ngunis excell at it. I read King Mswati III wanted 300 cows as a sign of interest to his daughter, it's 300 cows just to say "hello sir, I want to lobola your daughter", then you'll end up doing 700 cows in total...

However, the Ramaphosas will depart with only 100 cows... So the report says

Reports say the President is accompanying his son to a pay lobola in Uganda this weekend. The question is, does he fly out with the SF since it's family business yet he's a head of state?

Not hating, but NAF MI-35M helicopters feature way more advanced systems on board. Rooivalk mission computers are old.

Plus a much wider variety of munitions to pick from. MI-35m cockpit pictured below.

If we are looking at an advanced attack helicopter for the army, the T-129 from Turkey is our best option.

- Did you know that a Rooivalk can fire at overland targets designated by a Gripen?

- Did you know that it can fire Mistral missiles at a fighter jet then take cover on the ground, switch off its engines BUT the Mistral missile would still find its target?

- It can engage targets tracked by a frigate while at sea, the Rooivalk being inland - did you know that?

- Did you know that a Rooivalk is hard to pickup on radar? It's practically invisible heat-seaking missiles.

Your so-called mission computers are cosmetics, a client gets his own specifications.... As for your MI-35, it's an MI-24 with makeup, it's still the same old fat Hind.
