Some people will go to any length to discredit NAFDAC. , they almost destroyed a former DG from their own region. Just echo their views, and suddenly you're a messiah, they’ll worship you as long as you what they like and attack what they hate. Principles don’t matter, only alignment.

Pray tell...

What's the principle behind asking traders to pay 500-700,000 before giving them access to their shops?
CorrectionFLuid: 11:11am On May 26
TONYE001:

Did NAFDAC say that all the traders in the said market deal on fake medications?

I think most of us just say anything that pops in our head....probably because we are not affected directly.

It's, however, not a good way of life to only speak the truth when we are affected.

Let's just hope it never gets to a day where the police will pack everyone in an entire town because one criminal committed a crime.

The military already burns down villages because of the actions of some criminals who may actually be ersby. The day is here already. Stop hoping.

Actually, you're right...and this is the sad reality we find ourselves in.

If this is true, don't worry VDM,we have the network to escalate it beyond Nigeria...I pray is not true because at the end, they will vomit every kobo they must have taken from these hard working Nigerians.
Please do. This is injustice and oppression.

Haa closing shop for over 3 months and same Time extorting 700,000 from each of the traders.

The NAFDAC DG needs to Answer some questions.

Dalohad:
NAFDAC plays politics with drugs and get away with it, because they know that gullible Nigerians will believe whatever they say.

Do you blame them? They spend millions of Naira on laundering their image as the most righteous organisation in the Nigeria, but behind the scenes you will be shocked how corrupt they can be.
They are truly getting value for money spent on media propaganda.

Some of their processes are not straightforward. You won't even find robust information on their website. Then you visit their office, bureaucratic blockades everywhere. The only option? They point to their 'middle men' also known as 'Consultants'.

Try ing a medical product in this country for importation you will spend not less than 10 million naira, but on Remita, your receipt will only read N4 million naira. This money is just to get the NAFDAC number for that product you want to import from India or China. The undocumented fee goes under the table. Of course you know na. grin

Investigative journalists should beam their search lights on NAFDAC, they will be shocked about what they will find hidden in the closet, beyond all their self-glorification in the media space.
Hmmm
Kewekubosineh: 11:53am On May 26
Dalohad:
They actually asked them to pay 3 million per shop at Idumota.

Negotiation brought it down to 700k per shop.

Seun Okinbaloye and Rufai should invite NAFDAC to come and explain on TV. I want to see her lie through her teeth that no money was demanded by NAFDAC.

The country is a dog-eat-dog situation.
Yes. It's true.

A relation confirmed it.

NAFDAC DG needs to go. But she must vomit the money she illegally took from traders.

God bless VDM! He actually stands for the voiceless. Shops closed for over three months and Governor Soludo is having sound sleep that his subjects are under lock and key of corrupt NAFDAC officials.

In Idumota, NAFDAC officials re demanding N3Million before their shops are opened. Irrespective of how much is in the stock.

NAFDAC is a cesspit of corruption. The erstwhile image of fighting fake drugs is gone. Now, it's about compromises. The mama Professor in charge of the agency has rubbished the good work of Dora Akunyili.

Government should step in now to remedy the situation. The fine legacy left behind by Dora Akunyili has been rubbished by this woman who's greedy and selfish.

The agency is in a mess and needs cleansing.

SOBS 😭

Bluffly:
If 1000 shops have been able to pay it, then the entire market are culprits.
If you're kidnapped and you paid ransom, then you're an accomplice?

Guestmale:
Until I hear NAFDAC side of the story,I remain skeptic
Socratiz:
VDM should have posted one of the payment receipts of one of the traders for us to believe that this allegation is true. Something is fishy
It's not an allegation. I know someone who has paid. Not sure you are in Onitsha.

So based in your warped logic of a teacher flows the whole class for making noise, more students will the noise making? Right thinking people should caution the noise makers.

We are talking about adults not children...

In my school they flogged the whole class for making noise multiple times from Pry 1 - SS 3, but it never stopped people from making noise, all it did was foster a strong sense of solidarity among us.

I personally a case in pry 4, our class teacher asked all of us to sleep, she left the class - then she sent another teacher to check up on us, that teacher went back and reported that we were all making noise despite the fact that everyone was asleep (except me). Our teacher then flogged all of us mercilessly for something we didnt even do.

Collective punishment is nothing more than a combination of laziness and stupidity unless the goal is create a sense of teamwork like in the military.

The drug traders union are too docile cant they embarked on massive protests so that CNN,BBC,will cover it,WHO,trump will hear?
I was told the chairman was appointed and planted by the governor. So he doesn't represent the interests of the traders. A market person told me they protested, but the chairman himself went on radio and denied they're of the market.

Haaa I dont deserve it because my opinion is different from yours? In the USA, if a whole street is involved in criminal enterprise, they will shut everything down. I think we have very short memories. All the people they have killed with fake drugs...go and wake them up. If you cannot pay the fines, please leave the market and go and sell gala on the street. My only want - Govt should issue receipts and all funds must go into enforcement moving forward.

In some parts of the US, Police can seize even cash and if you cant prove it...It is GONE. You can factcheck me

Dafresh:
God have mercy on you remove that USA on your moniker you don't deserve it

MasterTeeUSA: 3:04pm On May 26
What is EVIL is selling fake drugs...you sound like you are one of the importers of fake drugs. All of you that have benefitted from fake drugs, may your children's childen never know peace. All the spirits of the people you have killed will continue to come after you and your generations.

Oga sharrap! Me abroad!!! Even Ghana too is abroad….

ing evul is what you’re good at
MasterTeeUSA: 3:06pm On May 26
Since you asked a legit question...Fact Check me...Govt do enter plea deals and ask for settlement as part of proceeds of crime. Clearly this crime is entirely for monetary gain...unless we are to believe it is entirely meant to kill Nigerians then we charge them with terrorism.

Look up if govt enters into plea deals involving fines and settlements in the USA and you will get your answer. Google is your friend.

DaveSolarSoluti:

Why asking for 700k is that how they do in your abroad
MasterTeeUSA: 3:09pm On May 26
Do your work for NAFDAC? How do you know its the minority? Are they asking everyone not part of the Fake Drug area to pay? So Gov Soludo sees the injustice and he is silent too? Please allow VDM to continue to do what he does...VDM should have been screaming against all those Fake Drugs and fighting for those already dead since he cannot bring them back. What kind of Justice is this? Nonsense Justice for Criminals.

I cant bend so low to mingle words with u,
but let me make u to sound sensible. As u had early said dat investigation take months, nafdac suppose to make investigation dat will take months to know exact shops dat sell fake drugs, also to know where d fake drugs is been stored. After successfully investigation dey will go back and reinforce their self come back to d market to make some arrest of d people selling d fake drugs, they will also lock their shops, d agency will also park d fake drugs to der office for destruction. But Look at wat u are saying dat people denied their shop, and some people ran away from their shop which mean dat nafdac did not do enough investigation into ds matter. Not everyone is into crime, u said alot of shop are into fake drugs and i quote u wrong, not everyone in d market are into fake drugs , people dat are into d fake drugs are d minority. This job is very simple, make full investigation in d market, arrest people dat are into fake drugs, lock their shops. But nafdac is making d job to look tedious.
