There’s more value for goods and services over here compared to in a third world country,

How many people here earn a half a million dollars per month compared to what you have in Nigeria ?

Naira has no value that’s why $2 seem like big money.

Bro!!! You nailed it. Very difficult to earn half a million there than it is in NG

Also, contrast the quality of the two products. The net difference might be zero.
I have not been to the USA before, but I know their cost of paying workers is way higher than what we have here

Read about a case some few years back, a man bought coca-cola in quantities and shipped abroad, thinking of the profit he's going to make, when the consignment got to the designated country, it was shipped back to Nigeria , declaring it unfit for human consumption. so the man sued coca-cola bottling company. The following conversation took place
Prosecutor:Why did you produce a substandard product for me to export, there by making me to lose my resources.
Defendant:we never knew you wanted to export it, the drinks we produce in Nigeria is made for Nigerian market and not for export.
So you see, the coca-cola might look same but not the same quality. Mind you this really happened in Nigeria, it's no fiction .
I don't know about Canada, but nigeria's coca-cola is way better than the one made in United States.

Minimum wages over there can cover ones expenses for the month, can minimum wage of 70k do same in Nigeria, won't even buy a bag of rice

State the minimum wage over there and the price of a bag of rice over there

There is a senator that once brought this issue, he said that the coca-cola sold in Nigeria is like they use borehole to produced it. Further more the coca-cola sold in the north is different from the one sold in the south

Do you think you are talking to illiterates?
All over the world
Coca-Cola has very little nutritional value, primarily consisting of sugar and calories. A 12-ounce can contains approximately 140-155 calories, mainly from sugar. It offers no essential vitamins or minerals and is considered an empty calorie beverage.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Calories: A standard 12-ounce can of Coca-Cola contains roughly 140-155 calories.
Sugars: The primary component of Coca-Cola is sugar, with a 12-ounce can containing around 37-39 grams of sugar.
Fat and Protein: Coca-Cola has negligible amounts of fat (0.9 grams) and protein (0 grams).
Other Nutrients: It contains small amounts of sodium, and trace amounts of other minerals like calcium, potassium, and iron.
Caffeine: Coca-Cola contains caffeine, which can have a stimulating effect on the body.
In essence, Coca-Cola provides energy in the form of calories, primarily from sugar, but lacks essential nutrients found in whole foods and nutrient-rich beverages.

Thanks for this. I have a 70 year old diabetic aunt that likes coke too much. Her kids have fought her so much and even asked my dad to talk to her, but this woman no hear o. She will drink coke, and then take insulin shot. I was there last week with my parents, and when they asked her why she keeps taking coke, she said she always feels tired, but when she takes coke, she gets a boost of energy.

Your breakdown makes me understand her a little.

All coke is bad but theirs is worse than ours. We use sugar, they use high fructose corn syrup. Bad as sugar is corn syrup is worse!

What you displayed there is an inferiority complex plus arrogant ignorance!

Above American coke
Below Nigeria coke

Also note the amount of sodium in their coke compared to ours!

Don’t allow slave mentality to lead you astray, not everything foreign is good!

My advice to you: stay away from American foods. If you must consume foods from multinationals pick the one Made for the European market and avoid the one made for the North American markets. American market foods are all chemicals!

I go to supermarkets and I see all these groceries from America and I think to myself “my people suffer from lack of knowledge”. Avoid processed foods but if you must pick the one for the UK or European market and avoid anything food from the US!

Th last picture is coke from the UK. As you can see it is sugar not HFCS. They have higher standards for foods in the UK and Europe.

Remmember as a rule: if it is food and from America don’t buy! Canned milk is not milk and indomie is chemicals, it is not food: You will thank me in your old age when you are not dealing with cancer!

EDIT: I’ve just realized they have changed the formula for Nigerian coke and have added sucralose. It used to be sugar alone…..Avoid!

Thanks for this information. No wonder Americans have high cases of cancer, diabetes and the likes. I watched one American actress' interview last month and she said she shuttles between America and Ghana, and that she feels healthier when she is in Ghana. She said after just 1 week of eating food in Ghana, she feels her body getting healthier.

Minimum wage in Canada per month is CAD 2,840 and 25kg of rice goes for CAD 138. Compare it with minimum wage in Nigeria standing at 70k with 25kg of rice at 40k
drstranged: 12:35pm On May 18
When you make such comparisons between countries you should place such cost side by side with the average earnings or salary there! Canadians earn like 20 Canadian dollars per hour. Assuming a Canadian works 8hrs a day and 5 days a week like in Nigeria, that a minimum wage of 3,200 dollars per month which is equivalent to 3.84million naira per month as MINIMUM wage. Mind you, a lot earn way higher than this minimum wage. Now imagine having to pay only $2 (₦2,400) out of your monthly salary of over ₦3.84million for a bottle of coke. Compare that with what obtains in Nigeria where you pay ₦500 out of your monthly minimum wage of ₦75,000 for that same bottle. Which country is better off?
So next time always place whatever cost comparisons you're doing alongside the minimum wage of the countries in comparison!

In your mind, it is not, right?
What is the percentage of 2.49 dollars of their daily or monthly wage and what is the percentage of N400 of our daily or monthly wage?

0.1% of someone earning ₦400,000 monthly here.

0.1% of someone earning $2,500 monthly over there.

All this children sef, of all the things in Canada, the price of Coca-Cola is your challenges, are you a student or a worker? Or you just want to announce your location.

Please go to work or school, you have a great opportunity to develop yourself now, do that and win more, instead of stupid comparison.

True
I use to wash my toilet with it

So you cannot use same produces abroad to wash toilet?

Have you asked yourself or researched why coke is used to wash toilet? Oh! You think it’s only Nigerian coke that has that properties?

where and where have you been before shouting false??

Education is not a scam!

Educate yourself a stop asking me where and where I have been.

The properties of Nigerian and foreign coke remain same and any difference is negligible.

Any coke can be used to wash toilet. Research why! It’s not ONLY Nigerian coke.

If you cannot find, come back here and I will educate you why it’s used as a cleaning agent.

ignorance choke for this axis sha.see how many people come like the negative statement. Even in most shopping malls ,if one wants a coke produce abroad, u will get them there just that the price will be high and the bottle design is usually small unlike our own bottle that is giant type like the one below.
The major ingredient in coke is sugar with some few other things added to it. Back in Ilorin, kwara state , they use to have a production line then at Eid road they call it.Even Pepsi I think have there own company too close by.
As a student then each class use to visit the company then to study the impact of noise pollution on the workers health and usually they take us round the company and show us the processes of production. Na sugar majorly them dey use.
After everything they will bring out plenty crates of drinks out to entertain us. You know students nah, men go don station gala for bag for that period grin

What is your point exactly! I never asked you for a biography. Are you saying the packaging or composition is different? Or it’s only Nigerian coke that is used as cleaning agent?

Be specific please!

Throwback:

Magnetic010,

What do you have to say about this knockout punch that punctured your absurd logic?

Every country has a different value for a single unit of their currency, that is why there is a distinct and separate exchange rate between different currencies.

Even when our Naira single unit could do more than what a single dollar could do, we were never anywhere close to comparing our econimic strength to that of USA or UK, or even Italy that was spending about 1000 Lira for a Dollar when we were spending 0.5 Naira for a Dollar. Yet we were never a better economy that the USA or Italy.
So what are you saying?
That currency value don't matter or what?
Compared to when we were at 0.5 to a $ and now, how closer are we to becoming like USA or Italy
Imagine with the progress we have made with our economy especially in the services sector that our currency was 0.5 to the dollar. Do you think we'll be closer to the US or Italy or farther behind

Just make a rule: avoid consuming foods that don’t occur in nature. Once in a while won’t do harm (which is how these foods get approved) but people eat them all the time.

Let me tell you even poundo is not good for you: eat natural pounded yam or avoid. Look at the ingredients in poundo, it contains added starch. The body processes naturally occurring sugar in unprocessed yam differently from processed sugar in man made starch, just like it processes sugar from fruits differently from refined sugar in coke!

Make a habit of looking at the ingredients in anything you consume: if it has a name you don’t recognize, especially a scientific sounding name,it’s almost certainly not good for you but allowed because you are not expected to consume regularly!

Thanks. I try to stick to one processed food once a week. Last week indomie for 2 or 3 days, next week is bread. But mostly I eat natural foods...beans, rice, Pap, yam, sweet potato, etc.

Even that is too much. You have just listed 2 of the most dangerous foods. Bread and indomie. I have never eaten indomie in my life and never will!

I also don’t use magi cube….another poison!

Coke only used to send powder form to any country. It's now left for the country to add water to it. Some countries in other to make much profits add enough water and patch it up with sugar. Thank you
