white chalk or native chalk which is known as "nzu" in igbo language is becoming addictive among young girls of today. is any body in the house an addict and does anyone know it's side effects?

Wow, you guys seem to really like that stuff. I was never a fan of nzu but my mom loves it.

I don't like nzu but what I can't get out of my head is the flat type of nzu. I have tried all my best to stop eating it, I just can't stop. Please any doctor in the house. Help!

Research on Nzu shows dat it contains Lead, which causes cancer. U can google d word 'nzu'. Dat's wat rings in my head whenever i crave 4 it. It's not bn easy stoppin, bt am doin better now.

Wow, I've never been addicted to any food before, so I better not start or as you say, there'll be no going back . Okay, how about a little bite at least? Lol, I'll look for it at the local market next time!

Hi girls, I also wrote on the other thread about nzu. Ever wondered why it is only girls that crave for it? It is often a sign of anaemia. We often get anaemic without knowing it. I prayed to stop, added fasting and it didn't work. I only found out what was wrong when I got a quality blood boosting drug and after one week I lost the crave and threw the ones in my bag away.

The drug finished and I relaxed on pampering myself soon after and the crave returned big time. I then became sure what was wrong. Do not let your good looks deceive you, go for blood tests and see a good doctor, that's the way to go on this.

I'v checkd on Madam L's point n see truth in it. Since Dec, i'v bn workin on my diet n blood building, my crave 4 nzu ceased except i deliberately want 2 go 4 it. But just after my heavy period, i long 4 nzu. Takin madam L serious n workin on my blood level now

I'm not an addict but the "addiction" is probably the biological/cultural mechanism for combating mineral deficiency. so yeah there are health benefits to it.

Iron deficiency or anemia. Try to eat more green vegetables and fruits like bananas. Meats are also rich in iron. but don't over do the meats of course. lol
