Quelme: The no1 country with the highest population of Indians is the US, there are even less Indians in Canada than Australia, Not to think of Uk. There are empty places like that in US too. So if you looking for some kind of lifestyle you should know where to stay. I bet you are in Lagos or some other big city in Nigeria, why not stay somewhere in Ondo or Kogi. Forget that 51st state thing, it's like saying Nigeria can absorb Benin Republic. It can't happen in this lifetime instead a third country will be formed from the 2 |

It's like saying Nigeria can absorb Benin Republic or any neighboring small country, use your brain the world doesn't work like that. Dullard Migrating doesn't have to be a permanent move. A visitor or student in a new country is also migrating, hence you need a visa to migrate The only people who get green cards or permanent residence are the ones who show intent to relocate permanently to a new country so stop being dumb, lol Dude, we both know you can't enter South Africa, not to talk of Canada or the US. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Menclothing1: In all seriousness, where will an unemployed person get 50m naira? This is a huge amount of money. If one discovers the appropriate business, a 50 million can make a big difference and transform one's life. Regardless, I doubt anyone in their right mind would spend that much money on a visa just to work as a cleaner or even as professional. Itβs not worth it if you can't do it yourself or if you have to pay someone that huge some to get a visa. The people I know do the visa process themselves. They applied for a work visa from Nigeria, and they only have to pay for the visa and related fees. Not everyone abroad is doing cleaning jobs. We have people who are professionals too. 1 Like 1 Share |

When they argue that there are lots of Indians in Canada relative to US or UK, they're talking about percentages. When you look at the demography of Canada, you might realise that Indians are up to 20% or more of the total population. That's a lopsided problem that will have unintended consequences. I don't think Indians constitute more than 10% in US or UK, so they can't dominate like they would in Canada. miketayo: |

proeast: This is a fallacy. None of the leading Western countries have up to 5% of their population as Indian or of Indian origin. The USA has the highest Indian diaspora of about 5 million people and that is just less that 2% of the USA population. While Indians can be loud and aggressive anywhere they congregate, the truth is that they are still a minority in most of these Western Countries as seen below. Fact is a stubborn thing, an ugly fact will always slay a beautiful fable (lies). It will surprise you that countries like Saudi Arabia (8% Indian population) and UAE (35% Indian population) have far higher percentages of Indian population than Western countries be it European or American.

epainos: Na today I take time take read your comment. Actually, I am not in Nigeria. I live abroad. 1. US: The US is the number country on earth with the most opportunities on earth. Everyone knows that. But you must realize that not every one would like to live in the US. The gun violence in the US is something else. This is one advantage Canada has over the US. Gun ownership in canada nor be beans, unlike in US where you can get it like toys. As for the US crushing Canadian economy, yes the US can and not just Canada. The US can crush the economy of many countries, including the EU countries, India, etc. The only country that is a little bit immune to the US is China and that is because of their huge population. They have found a way to grow their market to be home based. Meaning, they try to buy many things produced in China. Even at that, they will still feel the heat. You still dey see Hauwei phones for market? That's the power of the US. UK: The UK is a nice country, but personally, I don't like the country. What some of you don't understand is that jakpa is not a one cap fit all. You go to countries where you have brighter prospects. For example, I am a professional. People in my profession in Canada earn almost Γ5 of what people in the same profession earn in the UK. So, should I now leave Canada and go to the UK? Considering the fact that if I go to canada as PR, I can become a citizen in 3 years. Do you expect me to go to the UK with their citizenship pathway that is as hard as olumo rock? With your canadian port, even that US, you can enter it without stress. Canada: let me correct some of your misconceptions about Canada. 1. Canada's GDP is quite impressive, compared to it's population. In of nominal gdp, canada is the 9th largest economy in the world. Even countries like Australia that Nigerians flock to nor dey the top 10 largest economy in the world. Does that mean there are no Nigerians doing well in Australia? There are. So, looking at the gdp of a country is not enough. Look at the pay of the profession or work you intend to do in those countries. Look at job opportunities, quality of life etc. Go see mansions wey Nigerians for canada dey live in. Then compare am to the boys quarters many Nigerians dey live in UK. You go know say difference dey. How many Nigerians in the UK can snap pictures inside their rooms or apartment? Space nor dey even dey inside the houses. If we want to look at gdp alone, then after the US, we should be jakpaing to China because they are the second after the US. If in canada, I earn Γ5 of what my colleagues in the UK are earning, I should now leave Canada and go to the UK because the UK has a larger economy by gdp than Canada? No na! GDP per capita; This metric is how to truly know how prosperous a country is economically. It helps to determine the standard of living. Canada has a larger GDP per capita than the UK, , Japan etc. As for people moving to Ontario. Ontario is the economic giant of Canada. That is the equivalent of Lagos in Nigeria or California in the US. People generally move to larger cities with more economic opportunities. Saying there are no more jobs in Ontario shows you don't actually know what you are saying. The gdp of British Columbia alone is over 400 billion dollars. That's more than the gdp of the whole Nigeria. People also move to Ontario because of the calmer climate. As you go farther north, it gets colder. Come to Canada as a student or PR (preferably PR), within a year, your life will change drastically for good and within 3 years as PR, you are already a citizen than to go to the the UK and labour like slave with less pay and still wouldn't know if you will become a citizen or not. |

epainos: Just to add, please people are living in other places in Canada apart from Ontario. There are many people moving from that Ontario to provinces like Alberta, British Columbia. Even British Columbia (BC) is more expensive than Ontario. So, I don't know what you are saying. Even as expensive as it is, there are millions of people living in British Columbia. Saying the elites there wouldn't allow the common people live in BC truly shows you don't actually know what you are saying. And who told you Ontario stopped many of it's programs due to no jobs? Guy! π π€£π. For your information, Ontario still give people provincial nomination for them to come to Ontario. A province with more than a trillion dollar economy? If it was Twitter you posted on your misinformation, you for don dey trend by now. π π€£ As for UK and Canada, whoever wants to jakpa can decide for themselves. One good thing about UK is the ease people can get their visa. To get Canada visa is harder. Wetin Clowns like you don't really know is that the UK is the first step to jakpa. Most Nigerians that go to the UK see it as the first step before they enter US or Canada. It is very easy to get UK student visa for example compared to getting Canada student visa. 80% of Nigerians wey dey go UK go las las end up for US or Canada. Lol. So you go to UK first. tammie24:Family and student routes used to be the "sure" ones before 2010. The UK was the first I noticed that started using them. Let me explain: student visas were for talent hunting while the family route is necessary to encourage more talents because many are tied to their loved ones. So talents don't have excuse of not relocating if their loved ones move too. Also, some talents on student visas are hooked up with natives preventing them from returning to their homes after their studies. The real goal is talent hunting, but developing nations found a way to beat the student visa around late 90s and it was so obvious by 2008 that something must be done. Luckily, distruptive innovative skills took over and we have more work visas. Before work visas used to be for big companies especially those in the oil because they are rich. Now, even small businesses are taking advantage of such visas to import talents. The challenge in that of the US is that the Democrats still need to import foreigners anyhow especially Latinos, Asians and Africans to win elections, while republicans have the history of wanting most whites to dominate the US. Having said the above, there have been too many frauds with the family routes. So many illegal marriages have been unraveled to the extent that the UK's family route is so frustrating and most people will rather not try it. The partner who is the native is empowered to the extent that except there is real love, that of the UK always end in tears. But that of the US is still a bit ok. However, there is no girl in the US who isn't aware of marital fraud, and it makes even genuine marriages not to work. I can confidently tell you that this has put a real barrier between black Americans and foreign blacks. The distrust is so pronounced that their girls install trackers on their foreign finances or husbands. Do you think such marriages will ever last? Marriages built on such poor foundations. Personally, I have seen so many tears. American girls charge so much now for fake marriages and they won't still do it. Or they will just tell the truth when it's about to turn upside down as soon as they are offered assurance of protection even if there are proofs that they collected money for such fake marriages. They just enter a bargain deal and the foreign partners are screwed. Sure, applications still get approved even up till this moment. I deal with good guys who genuinely got their student visas with scholarships, and I simply tell them to move to PhD fast. Before their PhD ends, there is a route for intelligent ones to get their green card. That's another form of talent hunt. Even many young researchers apply from abroad and I have seen such threads here on NL. Experienced masters holders with published papers go for it too. Why will anyone with a bright future enter into woman's wahala when there are other routes? Female applicants also enter such wahala too. Their wahala long sef. Lol. Have you ever seen how disoriented they are before getting their papers? Go ask anyone in the UK...the number of people who survive the long years of becoming a British citizen via marriage route is so small. Ask around. And ask about that of the US how it is so technical to push such application in now. As soon as they see such application, I am sure immigration officers there first smile. Lol. ![]() While I don't think the family route will be canceled, it will just be unattractive more and more. So, if one can avoid it, it is good. The sure visas are "investments" and "skills". And they don't mind giving 70 years and above anything because they know they have limited years on earth. If the talents they have acquired can be more efficient with their parents also around, why not? And 80 years plus aren't disturbed when they apply for visas. If you scrutinise visa applications and decisions very well, they are just common sense. I have seen so many good guys being denied, and I just told them to let it go for a while. After they improve themselves, most of them only want to just go see wetin even dey there that they wanted to get by all means when they were younger. Just be succesful and make sure you have no bad record. Have money. And you will understand my point. With money, Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom will easily grant citizenship to a single applicant. So, being successful and making money are difficult processes, in my opinion. For your sanity, go for other routes except you have a real marriage. This is my opinion. But I know that almost all those there illegally now, or who are genuinely not qualified cannot but force the marital route since thats what they have to stay there. And they will still want to be smart to move their children and wife there. Too stupid. I can only wish everyone the best of luck. 1 Like |

tammie24:The US is still the best place if you get it right as far as I am concerned. I repeat again...it is a land with too many opportunities. Period. I don't know why those in other places frown at this truth. Education wise....making money wise...the US is the King. Period. To your question. The easiest route is the UK student. After finishing school, they should apply for a graduate visa and work until the end to find a health care sponsor, which is very possible. If you like the UK afterwards, stay and build a career there. If you want to still move, then, look into the US or Canada immediately after your program, while on graduate visa, or after you have found a sponsor. The US and Canadian visas are easier from the UK. The rest lies with you to navigate how you want it. Some mumu people got the US visiting visa from the UK and overstayed in the US. Lol. Mumu people. If the first you get is visiting, go and return to the UK. Just navigate your way from there. If you want to pursue the US from anywhere, use one of their work visas. But if you find a good partner, and you are sure that the person isn't one of those that will mess you up...take it. Any partner that has mentioned out of anger at any point of your relationship that you want to marry cos of their paper, don't every use such. Never. If you love the person...marry for love and find other ways. This is my advice to everyone. As for Canada, use any of the routes you are qualified for from either Naija or the UK, but its also easier from the UK. Look at the costs first. Personally, I don't fancy Canada. It isn't a fantastic nation to me. Anyone who is angry cos of my view can kiss my a.ss. period.. Again...the most important is making money. I don't see what anyone is looking elsewhere if one can secure a good job in the UK. Even it takes decades to become British, I think it is a good deal as long as one is in a program that eventually leads to citizenship. Person dey make cool cash with legit work permit.....dey on his own...is it compulsory to be a citizen 3 years after one lands in a nation? Even it takes 20 years, as long as one makes good money, what is wrong in that? But dem wan do fraud. They think if they have citizenship they can't be deported after they are citizens. OK ooo. And finally...I will repeat myself. The best way is to make money wherever one is. Even you are in Naija.... yeah...it may take longer, but victory is sure if you are on the right path. Do not be bothered with whatsoever anyone is saying. Make sure you are in good health. Eat organic food. Then, take your time....learn an evergreen or distruptive innovative skill. Even you are 60 years. Trust me...you will get there one day. I know what I am saying. I know someone who decided to build a 9-apartment building in a strategic location in Lagos, then build a bungalow for himself in another location (not in a wealthy area), and he now has peace of mind. He used the money he could have travelled with to do that. And 12 years later, he also relocated. I checked him out with his mates who moved ahead of him. He is better today. Yes, I japa...but it may not come early for everyone of us. And some people japa and met calamities there. 1 Like |
