Does Nigeria Even Have Any Reason to Borrow, If We Have A Responsible Intelligent Dedicated And Disciplined Leaders?

How can responsible, intelligent, dedicated and disciplined leaders emerge from among people who are irresponsible, stupid, undedicated and indisciplined people?

How can that happen? Are we not tribesmen anymore

edet19892015:
Unless you understand your role in society, you can never make any meaningful contribution.

According to the Greeks, they are three types of people on Earth,
1. The idiots,
2. The tribesmen, and
3. The citizens.

Studies show only 10% of Africans are citizens.
The remaining 90% are either tribesmen or idiots.

1. When the Greeks used the word "Idiot", they did not use it as a curse word.
Idiots are people who just don’t care.
If they sit for exams, they will cheat.
If they are in government they will steal.

An idiot does not care at all, if he eats bananas he throws the peels anywhere instead of putting them in a trash bin.

IDIOTS won't attend monthly neighborhood meetings. They won't pay security dues. They won't contribute to community development. Even when they see or know about something that will harm others in the community they won't report it. When they see/know/have something that will benefit their community they won't share.

In fact, Idiots don't care to for or vote in an election, yet they complain the most. If they to vote, IDIOTS will sell their votes for peanuts.

According to the Greeks, some societies have more idiots than tribesmen and citizens.

2. The next set of people are "Tribesmen", these are people that look at everything from the point of view of their tribe.

These are people that believe in you only if you are part of their tribe.
It can be terrible to have a tribesman as a leader, he will alienate the rest.

When the Greeks talk about tribes, it’s not just about ethnicity, they also consider religion, gang hip, group hip, party hip and even cult hip as a tribe.

A great percentage of Africans are tribesmen, because they view everything from the point of view of their tribes. They trust only their tribesmen

3. The last group are "Citizens".
These are people who like to do things the right way.
They will respect traffic light rules even if no one is watching them.

They drive within speed limits.
They respect the laws, and won’t cheat in exams.
In government, they won’t steal.
They are comionate and give to others to promote their well-being.

Citizens often promote projects that benefit everyone.
The Greeks called this group "The Citizens".

Some countries have more citizens than tribesmen and idiots, others have so many idiots.

A tribesman can become a citizen through orientation.
And an idiot can become a citizen by training and constant enforcement of the law.

But things fall apart if you elect an idiot or tribesman to lead you if he has not been reformed.

Where do you belong? Are you an idiot, a tribesman or a citizen? Reflect on your life.
Reflect about your immediate community, city, state and nation.

I'm in full agreement with the VP on this subject but your comment made me chuckle cheesy👍🏿

Why doesn't he address these views to his boss and suggest to him we completely cut off this 'begging bowl' affair.

I can't understand how we reason in this country. Election days are long gone and the best we can do is to face reality. Even when it is understandable that this guy's in power were not our desires for that office but the reality is that they have been made to lead us till the next election year.
Finally to my point, we might not like them and their policies but on this particular one the VP got it right. We don't need aids from people that are always taking so much from us through deposit with world bank, international oil companies, construction companies and so much other areas, but always returning to give us very little and making us their slaves even when what we are benefiting from is from our wealth. Enough of this white people thinking that we can't do without them giving little to us and demanding that we hand over even our key economic decisions and security to them. The IMF adviced the government to devalue and float the naira and what are we facing today after to government aided to their advice, a great disadvantage of our money to their Dollar. So who is gaining, them while over 200million people's are suffering the outcome daily.
If we have people's who can look them in the face and say we don't need this things, then we will be able to create our own system. Do you know that there are some things that we are not allowed to produce in Africa but must depend on this guy's outside the country to be producing it and shipping to us to amaze great profit from us while we always depend on them for it. Africa is the wealthiest continent yet we can boost of jobs because our jobs are outside. What we ought to do in Africa/Nigeria they are doing it outside for us so that we don't have the jobs but always travel out to contribute development to their own economy. When last did you hear a leader in Africa boldly affirm that Africa is the wealthiest continent in the world, yet the colonial masters are taking our wealth and giving us aids. They are taking the raw materials from you to cook and after they dish out a plate for you while having custody of the pot that host the whole meal. WHO DOES THAT?
I think it's time we start praying for our leaders so that they will start resisting this evil of taking from Africa to build your own while Africa eats crumbs.
Former Zimbabwe's President His Excellency Albert Mucabe used to point us to this abnormally but when didn't see it but always attack his ugly look while ignoring his beautiful words of advice.
This age long colonism of our common wealth by some external forces must be faced out for Africa to use what it has in building and bettering Africa.
We love the whites but we don't need aids in money/food, we need aids in infrastructure development and economic based policies.

What dignity is there in poverty. The era os ascetism is long gone and no one cares what you think. This is the mindset of a northerner with their beleifs in predestination. They accept penury as a judgement from Allah and hardly make efforts to fight it or prepere for a rainy day

Hehehehehe grin grin grin

Nice try, but the 2nd Niger bridge was built with the initial taarty billion naira (apologies to Davido) that GEJ paid for the project, and subsequent payments made from a series of recovered Abacha loot! If you have links to documentary or recorded evidence showing Chinese loan was used in constructing the bridge, feel free to share with us here.

The international airport terminal at AIIA Enugu, was not included as one of the terminals to be built with Chinese loan, as northern Senators refused to it being included! So the then Minister for Aviation, Stella Oduah had to source for funds in-house for the one in Enugu! Once she and Osita Chidoka left the scene, when Buhari and Hadi-Sirika took over in 2015, the Enugu one became abandoned and it hasn’t been touched by the APC/Buhari/Tinubu ever since! Meanwhile, they nicely finished the ones in Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt, and Hadi-Sirika even got extra-budgetary approval to expand their design and scope of work!

He should stop the rethorics of Nigeria is the richest. That is a lie. Nigeria is well endowed and we have made nothing of it. To be endowed is not same as rich. What you do with your endowment will determine your wealth and riches.

Shettima is one of the most cerebral politicians of this generation. He is also an avid reader who has cosmpolitan manners. He would have made a better president than what's on offer now, at least, from an ideological point of view.

I also enjoy watching his public engagements. Unfortunately, he occupies an office where his rich resource would be obviously underused.

First look who is talking . Use all your money I mean all to build hospitals and schools and pay the workers fees. Sell all you have to give to the poor then see if you will be talking this crap. This is an insensitive talk. Those who depend on aid do it because they have no choice or condition. May God not let us fall into such condition.
