I side with the VP.

Take for example the people begging on the street, no matter how much you give them it would be never be enough if they choose non-productivity to get free money.

I personally don’t give people with complete arms and legs anything, if you choose not work/be productive; you shouldn’t eat.

Cash transfer doesn't help the poor. It creates a dependency culture that continues the circle of poverty and dependency. Just look at the blacks in the USA.

The poor need investment in education, health care and access to work.

Rubbish.

Whilst people go through hardship, it helps that they can live to another day as they tackle the broader issues before them.

Many students just want garri so they can graduate.

Once they do, the sky is their limit.

See poor man from a poor country talking with the pride.

Ask the idiot what the HCD and IGR of Borno state was for 8 years he was governor and he will go mute.
Ogbeni, better comot your cap and put am for hand and beg them on your knees to borrow you money oooo.

A pride goes before a fall .

Same Okonjo-Iweala that you lied against is who you are struggling to take pictures with because being friendly with her at the meeting increases your chances of nations borrowing you money to come and spend on your nonsense lifestyle.

Of the abundance of the heart speaks the mouth.

You can just imagine the mentality....

The joke is coming from someone who has never experienced poverty before...someone who prolly has never had to struggle for anything...only feeding off the richest of the nation.

It's pathetic...some imps would still clap for him.

How can a poor man be proud grin

Little wonder the northern elite want to kill the northerns with poverty so that they can keep buying their votes every election cycle.

Shittyman is a typical Northern elite who specialize in the weaponization of poverty for political gains

There is no dignity in poverty. Poverty humiliates a nation and make them prone to getting colonised by stronger nations. Poor nations should strive to be great instead of celebrating mediocrity.

Our own poverty is self-inflicted and so should not be carried about with dignity, but rather shame and frustration!

The west has provided aid upon aid to the global south for the better part of the last 60 years. The smart ones took advantage of it and utilized it for the betterment of their economy i.e., Indonesia, China, etc.

Dumb Sub-Saharan Africans, on the other hand, voted in dumb leaders that looted this aid and were subsequently fine with it because these leaders shared the same ethnicity with them. This man has zero awareness of where Nigeria lies globally. We have no audacity to determine if we need aid or not need it. It's nothing but useless posturing with no depth behind it to fool the brainless monkeys they lead.

This is not the 60s anymore when such utterances inspired optimism and hope for a better tomorrow. Regurgitating such nonsense almost 100 years later with nothing to show only draws ire from the citizenry you preside over - the smart ones, of course, because the vast majority are so stupid that I wonder how they don't sometimes forget to breathe - and elicits mockery and ridicule from its recipients.

What he should do instead is this: plead for aid and if they refuse, get on his knees and beg them to reconsider with the promise that it'll be used judiciously. And should they reconsider, thank them profusely for being open to the idea again despite years of misuse. Even the opportunity given to him to speak is nothing short of ceremonial because he has nothing of value to share except to ively serve as a blueprint on how not to run your economy to the ground.

I'm tired of the stupid posturing of third-world leaders and the stupid plebs that gobble it up.

No.
The poor should have basic education free and free basic healthcare to be productive for a society that caters for everyone.

Is that not what the equally endowed oyinbos do for us to japa our meagre resources and ourselves there voluntarily unlike our brethren that we sold into slavery for tobacco, alcohol, fabrics etc

Neo-black Problem: Must Blacks Be Ruled by Whites in Order to Prosper?

In short, the neo-black dilemma may be framed as follows: is it better to live under white rule without political dignity but with basic life-sustaining standards for many;

or to live under black rule with illusory political dignity and without basic life- sustaining standards for the majority?

The path forward for Africa lies in cultivating higher and adequate levels of personal and communal agential integrity as well as full personal responsibility and productivity. Not to mention creativity (including epistemic creativity), productive justice (such as merit and freedom), harmony and reconciliation at local and international levels, and a proper domestication of capitalism and other related values and institutions.

Africa must stop wasting her time on dreams of socialism because it is a system of wealth distribution primarily. Whereas, capitalism is a system of wealth creation primarily, and wealth has to be produced before it can be distributed.
