The thing about the entity called Nigeria is that the decay is so much, no matter what the government does, there would always be things to point to that can be used as evidence of 'failure'...

For instance, OBJ's results for the socio-economic development of Nigerians remains unmatched, but the bullying and corruption marred his istration.

Yaradua's govt, though short, was the most humane and people-centric, but the hide and seek about his health and absence of infrastructure development was an issue.

GEJ ran one of the most social development driven istrations. Education reforms, Revamping rail lines, repairing roads, maintaining the longest exchange rate stability (relatively), construction of over 7 power plants etc. But corruption and poor handling of boko haram put black marks on his time in office.

Buhari took the rail revolution to a higher level and made a reasonable dent in the fight against terrorism. However, he allowed cabals take over his government and his economic management was almost zero.

Bat is following the infrastructure trend and seeking to reform the economic landscape. However, he suffers integrity issues, relies too much on propaganda and attacks against opposition and his socio-economic performance so far, leaves a lot to be desired and reforms seem to have selfish motivations couched as national interest.

For Nigeria to get better, it needs leaders who are sincere, can clearly identify issues and resolve them without putting the masses in penury and are ready to push for the realignment of socio-political structures.
