GloriousGbola: To whom much is given, much is expected. JAMB was responsible for deciding the future of 1.9 million teenagers and young adults. This is the future of fellow humans we are talking about, not some "project". JAMB was 100% wrong to have sat down and decided not acknowledging their fault in the compromise of the result of 20% of the candidates. It is unfair and wicked. There's no justification for that boss. This is an exam which only happens once a year. For u to appreciate the how grave their decision/indecision was; we can refer to the case of the student who unalived herself over the result. 1 Like |

Imagine comparing a personal Windows Update issue in your PC with a glitch that significantly imparted exam performance of almost 400K students that sat for the JAMB exam. ![]() ![]() ![]() A glitch that for the lucky ones means they get to resit the exams the next year, and for the unlucky ones, the trajectory of their lives forever altered cause it means they're forced to settle for courses and universities that should never have been in their path if there wasn't such a glitch. The things people say in defence of their faves and people they align with leaves me shocked atimes. 23 Likes 10 Shares |

So the re-take is still going to be conducted and supervised by the same set of Jamb personnel headed by Oloyede 😟😟..

Theflint1: you know EXACTLY what i am sayuing because there is NO doubt you have not encountered a similar issue during your own business operations . where you have a flawed product for your client that you keep trying to fix because an outright shutdown and correction will be immensely disruptive to everyone and will hit your budget hard you think you hate jamb now? jamb is reordering the exams during waec . the person i called has her son doing biology practical today. fortunately he has no waec exam tomorrow. when will he prepare? now take that situation and multiply it. were people not complaining about how children's lives were at risk getting to their centers on time? jamb has a very narrow window in which to cram exams for over 350,000 students at extremely short notice JAMB is going to have to re engage multiple institutions to renegotiate agreements for use of their centers. some of them already have the sites booked for other engagements. it will be a complete logistics crapfest. also completely out of budget. you know exactly what i am going on about. dont mass comm geng ![]() 1 Like |

CrystalTiger:The assumption is they'd get it right this time around...2 days to retake an Exam is just ridiculous. I'm sure they pushed for 2 days cause it'd mean people would move on from the matter faster, and it doesn't matter what a less than 48 hrs notice would mean for the students, wards, or performance in the exams. 5 Likes |

GloriousGbola:The window isn't as narrow as you're making it seem, with proper planning they can fix the exams withour any major disruption to the children and I'm sure the kids would take the inconvenience it'd give in their exam preparations over not getting the right score. There's usually a small Window between WAEC and NECO, they can even squeeze it there, or even float the exams for an entire month so kids waltz in when convenient and sit for their papers. The main issue which you're failing to see, for whatever reason, is that the welfare of the children was always secondary, and what mattered most to them was projecting an image of competence (while being incompetent) and saving money. The integrity of a students score is the PRIMARY thing with which the exam body gets judged, if they fail at that, even for 100 children, then it was a failure, not to mention that being an issue for over 400K children. The logical crapfest is the nation missing out on doctors, engineers, economists, and other professionals that should have been in the system a year early or that JAMB cannot be trusted and that people in positions of authority are fine with children from particular states and regions of the country missing out on opportunities to access tertiary education. There are many things that'd have been a logical crapfest had JAMB failed to to acknowledge the glitch, and all of those things come before the money and inconvenience that comes with giving the kids fresh and convenient exam dates. We need s that can engage in second and third order thinking when faced with situiations like this, and sadly, however much of a stickler the Oyedele guy is said to be, he just isn't that guy and the tears was him just acting drama. Him and the guys that were in the know before the third party intervention are guilty of criminal negligence. 8 Likes |

I get the point you're trying to make but let's be honest if he were in a saner system we all aspire to he would have resigned yesterday. The actions of the institution that he leads have negatively impacted the lives of significant number of students including that poor girl in Ikorodu who committed suicide. OasisX: 3 Likes |

Ibeme: He announced a result already. Something that was wrong and did not exist If JAMB had delayed announcing the result, then I can understand you perfectly. If he had also announced the results and left that of the affected centres, fine He announced a result for 379k candidates that did not exist. 5 Likes |

izzou: Deadline must be met I am dealing with the same issue right now, two issues in fact Smaller issue is I noticed an error of £470k revenue overstatement in our March s. That means our results for 2024/25 which auditors have indicated they see no issues with last week is overstated by £470k. So the results we will publish to the market in a few weeks is £470k overstated. Can I get away with it? YES. But it has affected our April result as we now carry that correction into April. I noticed the issue last Thursday but only informed my boss yesterday after I have tracked down all sources of error by line detail and can present a mitigation and an offset going forward so that we get back to budget within 1st quarter of 2025/26 2nd bigger issue is a £5m overstatement in our statutory s from 2021. It's a problem that was corrected in Cash, but not in Dividends before my time. We continued adjusting our Stats at a £5m variance to our ing system each year since 2021 to reflect, but someone actually fixed it in the system in 2022 so the stats are now actually incorrect by £5m, and stats is what the market sees. The auditors have picked it up and noted that last year we said we would adjust our systems by £5m to reflect the statutory s (not knowing we already did that and continued to incorrectly add another £5m on the stats). But the system is actually correct, which means a restatement of our historic dividend in our Statutory s by £5m which is just embarrassing. So I will revise this year's dividend amount down by £5m to make stats match to system. This has been a final query from the auditors for 3 weeks and I am yet to respond despite knowing the problem within 2 days, but have to respond by tomorrow after rehearsing a good story. Thats all part of crisis management and communication. The game is the game. 1 Like |

Why are auditors difficult to work with? I have witness auditors and fin.ants always at loggerhead because of simple ing process. I have come to conclusion these auditors are old skool some of them uses excel and will rather journal for adjustments instead of simple reversal, some don't even know how ERP works What are they teaching them in school then, I am not an ant but I know for every credit there's a corresponding debit, that simple law open my eyes to . I think learning ERP should be introduced to them in school Cc Blueraydick |
