CSS used to be confusing but with CSS 3,flexbox and Grids I can tell you css is no more confusing.

To learn CSS, forget about grid, flexbox or frameworks like Bootstrap. Just go to w3school and do the CSS tutorial there 5 times.
Make sure you learn and master CSS positioning and selectors.

This will give you a strong foundation

Use bootstrap or metro UI, but have basic knowledge of CSS to make custom changes where necessary.

That's all

Your main concern should be Javascript and PHP, that's where the game is.

I think you are trying to cram or just cramming the CSS structure, that is why it is hard for you, Don't hurry or cram, just use one of the best website, it has exercises like I said before, it free, you don't need to pay anything.

Exactly , I had issues with JavaScript context "this", "this" in static languages never changes but JS, omo context fit change.

Then you can bind it to a function wherein you are going to reference the keyword this

True programming starts when he starts with JavaScript.
Css was introduced to seperate the structure (html) from the presentation of web pages.
Css should be the easiest to grasp after html.

The op didn't say anything about CSS being a programing language its the MOD that pushed it to FP

Wow, OP css is simply the easiest programming language out there. Quite simpler than HTML because u have to apply html in a broad range of languages from php to JavaScript to python. If you want to really learn css, learn the basics of it and go learn bootstrap 4. You'll enjoy it.

How can CSS be the easiest programming language when it isn't even a programming language?
And the advice of learning bootstrap after CSS isn't an helpful one, he won't understand the workings of css because bootstrap is already a major abstraction.

Its not a programming language though and its very easy. Use Dreamweaver if you don't like it. Make sure its Dreamweaver 2020

CSS is not a programing language. It is a tool used for writing design rules to increase productivity. It is like html on steroids for design appearance. Just give it more time. Practise until the hard part becomes easy. If you think CSS is hard, you'll be crying by the time JS deals with you.

JS is a programming language.

You can't use CSS alone, u have to also use Javascript and Html. they are easy to learn more especially if u are computer literate
