DeOTR: I've been reading your comments on this issue and I cant help but wonder why you must show your illiteracy on the online public space, rather than read to learn, learn and get informed... How can you say no serious entity will grant access to their database for any reason? Can your entity be more serious than TWITTER ![]() Please do some research. Also, if after the Court has ordered INEC to grant Access and you INEC not to obey this, then you are an anarchist, and you are the reason Nigeria is where it is. Also, the person who said " A clear conscience fears no accusations" wasn't mad. If you think APC won the elections, you have a right to your thoughts...but what you don't have rights to is to berate people who explore the provisions of the law to determine and correct a rights rape that occurred in the 25th February elections. Even the PDP are acknowledging that votes were tampered with to favor APC. If you think APC won, then they should be able to show substantial proof of victory to counter LP and PDP's claims of rigging and results manipulations. If WIKE can come out and boast that the romance with APC has ended after he delivered PDP to APC [through stern rigging and intimidation], then I'm not sure you know what you're spewing here. Mind you, nobody has monopoly of violence. 18th March 2023 will prove that. Have a fab day |

Some people are so used to slavery that everything in life must be like slavery or its semblance. Lemme ask a question. Do tenants go to pumping machine to damage it or the machines are damaged due to wear and tear during usage? If the latter is the case, which always is, doesnt the basic tenancy agreement provide that tenant will cater to all that is within his premises? Some Nigerians and slavery are like 5 n 6. Your house was let to you at a price, bearing in mind you have access to water. What’s possible is that you have to pay for the meter units to pump water. If your pumping machine is automatic, it means that it pumps as water depletes. You don’t even need to go and touch it let alone damage it. So if it spoils, how then is it up to the tenants to fix if they did not damage it by themselves? When they leave, do they take it along and replace the house with the faulty one? And even if they do, won’t the landlord replace it before he brings in new tenants or he will ask new tenants to buy pumping machine before they move in? Guys, let’s be real. Like the compound security gates, there pumping machine is a capital project which when it goes bad, Shld be replaced by the landlord of the property. So if the security gate falls/damages, tenants should fix it because they use it out because they are the ones who will be secured by the gate not the landlord? That’s shallow thinking which isn’t tenable in any court. What is ideal is that the landlord is to be informed about the damage and invited to make the necessary repairs promptly (that should have been contained in the agreement so it’s not debatable) but in TVs likely even the landlord cannot fix it immediately due to urgency for tenants and landlord’s paucity of funds, it is possible, but must be agreed by both parties that, the tenants can bear the cost of fixing it either using the landlord’s workman or another workman (better to use the landlord’s but it doesn’t matter), and the cost to be borne by the tenants, but is ed onto the landlord who may reimburse at a later time or deduct from the next rent. Just because it’s communal living and when the cost is divided by the number of tenants it may amount to less than 10k per flat, and you think 10k is very infinitesimal to you, you think it’s your responsibility to fix it, welldone. When the house fence falls, fix it cos it’s you living in there not the landlord. When the borehole falls, fix it, cos it’s you living in there not the landlord. If you like don’t learn your rights as a tenant and understand your obligations as a landlord. Just because you’ve been used to intimidation doesn’t legalize intimidation. Only a stupid landlord will threaten to eject a prompt paying tenant because of refusal to contribute to fix pumping machine. It’s not difficult to pay first year rent for new tenants but na subsequent years payment be the koko. So asa landlord, it’s better to keep up with your tenant and do your role than to keep turning over ppl in your apartment and doing frequent renovation for new tenants all cos you ejected sitting tenant for refusal to contribute to fixing/replacement of pumping machine. rotecch77: You said it all. Rented a flat somewhere in a block of 9, three medium tanks to feed the whole place. When the pressure pump came into full use, some flats were leaking due to burst pipes. Some became flooded becos of the water pressure. I'm thinking of a way to permanently get water to come up when theres no light. There will be water in the tank o but only ppl down floor can have water. So annoying. I hate storing water in buckets. Any suggestions?? ♀️ 1 Like |

0m0nnakoda: Your question is funny... Don't even know if I should answer such a question. Who ever told you that Sirika authorised anything. Guess you don't understand how flights operate in all parts of the world. A flight is given clearance to fly by the designated authorities. Who then can overturn that except the authority it self? That person must be a terrorist then. See, this is no time to play politics. Wikes govt ought to collaborate with the agencies set aside to combat this. All hands must work together and not show power tussles. A typical scenario would have been a collabo with border agencies, share info and request for details who come into the state, quarantine them for xyz days, then if they are virus-free, let them go. You just don't go arresting people who were authorised to do their jobs. Now did you see what happened to the Commiss of Police? That will be the victim. |

bakynes3: On the contrary, the State Government has to have a seamless intelligence at the airport to be notified on very important fleets that must come in. Then you send all that arrive on board TO AN ISOLATION CENTRE FOR 14 DAYS and when they are cleared, you let them return to their houses. Can he stop Buhari from coming into Rivers ![]() |

I've read so many ignorant comments here from people that know nothing about Aviation rules in Nigeria. I'm kinda sure the commentators are unlearned kids. All ing Wike's action, clap for yourselves. Wike himself clearly said that he knows he had no right to stop flights from flying into the state... You guys are here arguing left right centre. If a plane has been cleared to fly by the necessary authorities empowered by the constitution, why punish them ![]() If you were wise, you would have suggested that the government collaborates with the federal government to get info on incoming flights cleared by the relevant agencies. Get a department that liaises with NCDC, FAAN, NCAA etc and get notified when people given special clearance to come in, arrive, then quarantine them for 14 days, release them if they are COVID-free. This need not be a conflict for power tussle. Are you telling me that if NCAA or NAMA boss flies into Rivers, he would be arrested for entering the state? ♀️ ♀️ ♀️ Come off it. We will be entering RIVERS State. I dare Wike to make another arrest. Then he will understand the limit of his jurisdiction. I sorry for the police commish that effected the arrest.t his is how people walk into their early retirement after so many years of diligent service to the force. Then one will blame the system. So because a stranger I’m chatting up with says I look like a sweet banana, as I fine reach, I should flare up? What happens if he said to her that she looks like: tomato jos Egovin Asa baby Yori yori Omalicha Asampete ![]() What kinda 23 years old kid is this. Oh she must be blonde ♀️. I resist bashing girls especially cos of men but frankly, this girl got no sense. A simple “sorry I don’t accept such compliments from strangers” would have done the age test. And who says a 35 years old man is too old for a 23 years old girl? Becos he’s not otedola or bussdor abi? To think she even shared this conversation, she must be empty in the skull. She must have returned her brain to the owner... #Brainless!!! 2 Likes 1 Share |

swagagolic01: Once upon a time, Markafi and/or Ali modu, Gana, Anenih even OBJ etc thought they were the fulcrum of PDP. Today, they are frustrated out PDP, some running to SDP. PDP isn’t what it used to be, but I must it they are struggling and not doing badly to stay afloat. Magnus should test his waters and leave APC, guess he’s already due for political retirement that’s why he’s making no mistake to play his joker now or else, it’ll be useless. yomi96: You need to show some sense in your utterances. If you were smart, you would have known that even a leader who’s not criticized is either breeding bunch of eye-service cowards or is certainly leading no one. Wike is never a perfect man, and has certainly erred in a lot of things glaring to the common rivers person. You need not be a lover of the opposition to see or it this. If you don’t see this as so, it’s either you’re blind or you belong to the cadre of timid cowards. Good luck to Magnus. 1 Like |

Daplux4: It's unfortunate you saw nothing wrong with the kind of elections JEGA and Morris Iwu conducted. I witnessed Rivers 2015 elections. It was bloody!!! I also witnessed Rivers rerun 2016, it was nothing compared to the former. Majorly, the villain was playing victim in the rerun. The villian took to the media buying sympathy while doing underground mischief. Have you forgotten how the military intimidated people in 2015 under Wike and patience's orders? I would rather keep quiet than call a snake a mere skipping rope simply cos I am an Mbiase man. |

Amaah:Depends on where you are located. A vendor in PH used to sell on retail for 500. I'm sure he could do a bulk-buy deal. But again, dunno how the dollar rate has affected the kojic market. Lemme know if u still need vendor's digits. Cheers. |

Stephrocks: Unfortunately, people like u see life in one view. (Pls this is not an insult). Do you know that there are some people who will rather pay your fees than giv u money to invest? Well... I rest my case. Some professors, give them money to invest in business, you'll never see the capital, talk more of ROI. But that doesn't make them bad or lunatics, it's just that they r better off teaching than doing business. Perhaps, this babe will rather work than do business, hence she needs a job. Tx |

Stephrocks: Pls don't be like that. She may have been sponsored all her life, perhaps by family or she may have borrowed to study. It happens. Moreover, she may just be broke cos she ain't got no job. No matter how wise you are, you can't start a business without money. Moreover she's still a PHD student which shows she may be struggling to cope with her studies and need a job to keep funding it. |

HopeAtHand: I liked your post, and I shared your post, cos I aptly agree with you. But rather than rivers people to understand this fact, they tag politics to everything. Rivers people think life should be like when Odili was in power... Share the money. Had this same conversation with my guys last week and I'm glad Dickson reechoed my thoughts on the average rivers person. In fact, there's a popular saying that the average first son in IKWERRE, perhaps Rivers State is LAZY. That's as true as saying there are 9million bicycles in Beijing, if you understand what that means. 1 Like |

Some Naija people and their badbelle comments... Very evil! Many people commenting hatefully neither have a life, nor are they ever gonna get one. Someone is happily posing with family, appreciating blood and some others are either looking for flaws on her body, her life, etc. For all its worth, if you are not Mark Zuckerberg, if you are not Aliko Dangote, if you are not Oprah Winfrey, if you are not Ifeanyi Uba, if you are not Joselyn Dumas, if you are not Obasanjo Olusegun, if your name has never entered Forbes list or Guinness book of records, kindly don't express your frustrations by castigating someone else's looks, career, etc. You never go above by bringing someone down. It's social media not total bring-down. Some of you will hang yourselves, or someone close to you if someone told you you had coconut brains. Do it to others only if you agree it be done to you all your life! One-love. 2 Likes |

thonyman: Seems you r only good at criticising that, you fail to even understand the question you are asking before you ask it. You can't tell us you don't understand what "MAXIMUM PEG" means. For the benefit of doubts, it simply means Anything Below N145. So if NNPC sells at N135, they are on course. I think you should raise an eyebrow if they were selling at N146. See diesel, today we can buy at about N90 per litre whereas some places sell for N120-150pl. That's what deregulation comes with. It's not scam. It's a reality you either choose to key into, or sit on the fence. |

Also, even as a foreigner, if you LEGALLY lived in the UK for about three years, u could get a waiver to pay "home fees" instead of international fees. SO THATS A DIFFERENT CASS ENTIRELY, and I think it's a bit segregationist to ask Lagosians to pay higher for schooling in Abraka university. 7 Likes 1 Share |

IAN CAMERON remains David Cameron's father, even though he was fingered in the Panama Papers for having a Panama Trust Investment, of which Cameron benefitted from the Trust. I don't bad thing/corruption but Cameronis No1. Crook! He never paid back the taxes he evaded. So putting up the Buhari's ally is corrup is like pot calling kettle black. My 2-cents. |

Jimi23: I just realised I've been replying a disgruntled lazy kid who doesn't understand what "cap" means. No more words for you. When you grow up, leave ur keyboard and go see what's happening out there on this issue, we can have a meaningful conversation. Stop being sillily myopic! Bye for now. |

Ndolarr: I think a cap is a cap regardless of near border or not. Anyone selling above 145 does so illegally according to the new regulations. I think I agree with him that fuel prices will go down due to competition but I think it may not fall below a threshold. If the market forces align with the idea behind this subsidy removal and fuel hike, it's possible dollars on the parallel market may fall, thereby causing the price at which marketers procure forex and buy PMS products to fall as well, then they may decide to lead the market and drop their prices. Again, the market is now open. What it means is that you and I can now source for and sell PMS. So as we get the forex and product, we can now see with a reasonable profit margin. So if dollar drops to 160 (I pray o), we can on our own drop our prices to 80+profit per litre of PMS so we make more turnover and outshine the market, that's if we don't see the likes of Ifeanyi Uba selling fuel for 40 cos whichever way, he can't lose (Example is Dangote selling cement for 1,100 when other cement companies feel their production cost is even more than 1,100 so they cannot sell at a loss to compete with him, yet Dangote isn't losing anything by selling at the cheapest price) However, even if dollar increases to 500 (I pray it never does), PMS will still not sell for more than 145 according to the new rules. I see this as an opportunity wise investors are already consulting their financial advisers on. The only k-leg is that many intending youths investors may not have the bulk monies to risk entering this business, and it's dangerous taking a loan from bank or elsewhere to venture into this if you don't understand how the market works. I think this is just what I can make of the new policy. Perhaps the 145 price may be tooooooo high a benchmark, but if you personally know any importer or someone close to them, ask them frankly and they'll tell you anything lower than that for now would have still led to the same "artificial scarcity" and hoarding that we have been experiencing. Haven't you noticed that now the queues are beginning to fearless out? All of a sudden, there's fuel. Ha hahahahaha. So what went wrong since ![]() I can only hope for better days ahead. I just have to be positive cos while I will be complaining without actions, other smart ones will be taking advantage of the situations on ground to their benefit |
![]() |
Jimi23: You are sooooooo foolish. Wise ones are thinking faster now. The petroleum industry is now free, no more cabal, anyone can bring in and sell PMS within the guidelines. This is a business opportunity for very wise people who have seen the market as an open haven for investments, but instead of you to think way forward, you are nagging here. If u didn't understand the meaning of my N20 example, lemme educate u in one sentence. Simply put, the new benchmark means competition will be encouraged. If you were wise enough, you would have sourced for petroleum products, and sold back to Nigerians, perhaps at N86.50 or less if you think that's the heroic price. Don't be a sore nag on Nairaland. Get ur brains and hand to work!!! Daft slowpoke!!! |

Jimi23: Keep nagging... If I ask you to contribute one alternative initiative for a better Nigeria, you'll be stuttering. Daft brain that only complains on Nairaland but can't contribute substantially to the community. As for hustling for positions, I laugh loud at u. FYI, I'm proudly career-oriented! I don't scramble for crumbs. If it interests u, there's more to the economy than being in politics, ask Lagos Businessmen! Go find your niche cos it seems ur lost. 1 Like |
