As far as i'm concern, nothing to fear about relationship. Relationship is like a football match where you must have it at the back of your mind either you lose or you win. It is not every relationship lead to marriage.

The major fear i observe from people is when they see their taste ( lifestyle compatable) and they lose it at the end of the game, their fear are: where can i see somebody like this again? or where can i start again.

But the answer is life goes on. when love dies life goes on. when one road close means another will open.

Noetic: it's more than just insecurity, it's fear, fear of maybe the past repeating itself. Yes, a little of it is insecurity but most decisions made in relationships are in fact less to do with love than they are to do with fear of rejection and insecurity. Relationships these days are rarely inhibited.

To the OP; one of the things that worries me, is him being unable to tolerate some of my habits, and yes of course, the idea that 'this might be too good to be true;, "is the playing me". .

please if hes too rich nko i left my first bf cos of that he doesnt brag at all until my first visit to their house i nearly fainted, firstly there was this man in big agbada with two soldiers as company walked fast by me (his dad) the palour was huge and the roof was far up, and flees of car outside, dyu know the nigerian flag those two horses was carved in the centre so i knew they were official and my heart started pounding, and i just stopped liking him, till today i dont know why i think i was turned off by the army roaming about and i was a kid or maybe i had low self esteem the day i told my sister she nearly slapped me i was 15 years old then in ibadan, i also ed overhearing his brother shouting down the phone i want my full share dont mess with me! i'll fuckin bury you! that was first time i heared someone swearing and scariest day to me

It depends on the comfort level I am on with the lady I want to get involved with. But generally I'm not afraid of anything because, one, I've got nothing to hide and secondly, I'll bring my best to the table and it'll be left for her to make a choice on what to make of the relationship.

And guys, don't go into a relationship when you have a lot in your closet to hide or it'll blow up in your face. Howbeit, some girls I dated in the past somehow raised my suspicion when I wanted to start dating them; and what I feared, happened.

But the worst fear of many is the past being continually played out at repeated intervals.
